I don’t think people realize that even without ocd, arousal gets confused with emotions like fear, anxiety, and even just confusion. We will all be okay
@@richied334 bro ,my ass got thru harm ,sexual orientation ocd and now ive been having pocd for a abt a year ,it been like this for 7 years ,since i was 10 ,you can find someone who doesnt judge you or your mental state or condition ,i happily have a gf that understands me since she has simmilar issues ,were all gonna fucking make it ,and if you ever feel at your peak ,if you feel like you cant take it anymore ,just remember you're not alone
@@ghastbutlol sorry but my groinal response is from being uncomfortable, which I am al the time and have been since a child. I can't keep a job, I can't lay in bed with someone, sex is out of the question and the list goes on. Appreciate the optimism but I've been to multiple therapists and doctors and the only thing that's help me with this is heroin. I won't explain why that was a bad road.
@@richied334 I spent some time answering a person with the same problem. It may not be specifically be linked to uncomfortableness, but it sure stems from the same root cause which is fear and anxiety. I thought I might copy and paste it here for you to read and I'm pray it will resonate with you in any way if even the slightest way, and that it may bring you some comfort. This person had a problem with anger. That happens to me as well, so you are not alone in that. There are a lot of triggers in my life but nothing as triggering as this foot soldier of OCD, anger. I have this thing where i get angry because of the nature of the intrusive thoughts in my mind and not being able to hold back the slightest groinal response. The problem is that it is impossible (literally impossible) and when it happens, it only provokes the mind to have even more distressing thoughts, a stronger response and takes you right back to where it started in the first place, vicious circle... fuelled by anger. Your body is vulnerable during this state of mind because the signal that's working against the mind becomes so strong it goes against your will and tells the body to have the groinal response. Continuous and uncontrolled anger is an emotional parasite waiting to latch onto to the first thing it can get it's hands on in order to come in to being so that you may act out of character. It will lead us to destruction whether we have OCD or not, so we need to get that in check. If the nature of your thoughts aren't bothering you as much as the response then the response have no one to hold accountable to. It will show up whenever it wants because the thoughts are roaming freely, which are the very cause of the response. We have to take charge of the things OCD doesn't let us such as our day to day life, relationships and health etc, to eventually be able to take charge of our mind and defeat the thought bully in charge, OCD. Keep pushing through WHATEVER and ALWAYS know in your heart that you're not a sick person, you're one of the good people living in a very sick world. NEVER FORGET THAT! Don't be afraid of the illusions it will try to throw at you (sometimes even delusions) and don't panic I promise it will pass if we enable ourselves to be still. Maybe just not as quickly as we can wish for sometimes but it will pass. And also if it's not coming from a place of certainty, do not try to convince yourself that's it not you because the OCD will most likely tell you that it is you the second after YOUR thought is formed, if not the same second... Instead of you TRYING to convince yourself that you're not this sick person (under distress), you should tell yourself in conviction when using a sound mind. You will know the difference because the latter brings relief and comfort and... a breath of fresh air ;) You will NOT change! You will NOT become this person that OCD is telling you that you are. It will take time, a lot of effort and suffering. "Before every awakening there is a struggle." Ocd is very dependent on the bodily state or condition. The more frustrating tense anxious and unwell the body is the more likely intrusive thoughts may come. In a clear minded relaxed state or when the body is at easy ocd does not happen. So its important to take care of the body as annoying as it can be on a daily basis, all sorts of self care stuff you can do, neck shoulder stretches, breathing exercises and so on
Accepting uncertainty is key. I find by embodying the truth "Maybe this arousal means I'm a monster, maybe it doesn't", followed by riding the wave of anxiety and distress and letting it dissipate naturally is helpful.
I just want to put some helpful quotes from another video out there: "When you're not acting like you're in danger, your brain's gonna learn" 'Act like you love it or, oh who cares what that means I'll figure it out in the future' 'Whatever the thought means, it's not your job to figure it out. Stay in the unknown' I don't know how to fully treat ocd and the groinal response. But my hope is that if start to normalise, or trivialise my thoughts...they may become less pervasive or lead to arousal, which links to anxiety. Key thing is you're okay. You're not a bad person. ❤
I work as a cassier in a small private store, but i have bad social anxiety, i go through alot of stages every time i work there for eight hours. All i want is to treat people nicely, but i am so scared of people that i get aroused, and because i get aroused i get embarrased, and because i get embarrased i get defensive.
but why i haven't heard to this day someone talk about incest OCD? it's really the WORST thing that has happened to me plus the p3d0 one. I'm not joking I almost kms about 4 years ago because I literally was so afraid to tell anybody I only told my bestfriend and nobody would even know it was OCD, I felt so damn guilty it's ridiculous and now these thoughts are coming back with groinal response I can't get rid of it
That's not the whole truth. You can have unliked groinal responses without having OCD. This is called "arousal nonconcordance". Therefore it is NOT necessary to have an obsession about something in the first place. People without OCD expierence arousal nonconcordance (unwanted groinal responses) as often as people with OCD do.
Why if i get angry and then i have the unwanted groinal response?? I have ocd but idk if this only happens or is it common?? I hate this so much and i fell so bad Why is this happening to me??

Ma'am please help me before I read a gay patient comment i have the same symptoms like normal boy but after I read his comment my anxiety opposite please help me I don't wanna be a gay please help me is this happening with someone please help me
Hi this is happening to me, im fully straight and have been consumed with so much thoughts that I believe it causes the body to react. Lets stay positive 🤍
I spent some time answering another person in this comment section and I'd like to share this comment with you. This person is going through the same problem as you are but the trigger is mainly anger, which is my main trigger as well. Although it is written from the perspective of a fellow s.. intrusive thoughts sufferer with emphasis on the anger as the main trigger, it's really focusing on the thoughts behind it. I also get triggered by pretty much everything, sometimes all the way to the tiniest movement, which sometimes results in me staying in bed pretty much all day. To summon this up, having these intrusive thoughts have made me so angry and in return, the OCD has grown stronger. It's about learning how to live with the response (temporarily) and put all focus on the fears, anxieties and emotions. Oh and also the last part of the comment is totally up to you, but it is the only thing that has really helped me and still helps me until this day ❤🙏 Okay that's it. 👇 You are not alone in this battle. I have this ocd. And i was thinking about meeting people with similar obsessions, but somehow imagined that most will be men, now i see rather cringy picture in my head - sexually obsessed men and females in one room thinking nonsense about whatnot. Didn''t mean to be mean, but rather find ligth in the end of tunell lol. Still - sometimes just wish i would dissapear with all my obsessive thougts, no meds or theraphy helps, most therapists i met just want to get money, and some dosen't even have experience with ocd at all.
