🌟 About this video:
So this video has been coming for a while. I'd planned a few versions of it a while back and not filmed it, then both
@scentedsnowdrops (Instagram: / scentedsnowdrops ) and @CarmenScentrix and someone else (if this is you, please remind me... my memory has failed me) requested this, so here it is...
This video is part of my perfume science series 👩🔬: • Perfume Science
If you don't know, I'm a scientist in my day job, and so I try my best to give you another view occasionally on the whys of what we like or dislike in perfumes and perfumery. I try to answer the questions that I have about subjects in the hope that those will be the things that you want to know too.
Indoles are effectively the oysters of the perfume world, they are a love it or hate it fragrance, and they seem to have some aphrodisiac hold over us. But why is that? What are indoles for? And why do some of us smell something we can't get enough of in them? There's a lot to discuss with indoles... I also try to find you some beginner and more serious indolic perfumes to sniff.
So which are you favourite indolic fragrances? Do you love white floral perfumes? Do you prefer your florals prim and proper or sensual and beguiling? Were indoles love at first sniff for you? What was your first indolic perfume, whether it was love or hate?
