@@kingcreed348How did you get TRT?Did your doctor prescribe it to you even though you weren't below the minimum range?Isn't it expensive as fuck every week/month for the rest of your life?
My test score was 278 took it at 12. Need to re scheduled and take it before 10am. For a 27 year old guy who eats healthy and works out all the time i feel like its pretty low
Well turns out my test is actually 448 while fasted. They still gave me enclomiphene/tadalafil daily and anandrezol twice a week. Endocrinologist said he believes the healthy score for men should be between 500 to 800
Feel u… 32 have been experiencing symptoms of low test for over 3 now. Yesterdays check was 280 but the reference is from 240 to 900 in this lab. So Dr said my test is fine. Does not feel fine without sex drive… also u would think that if you dedicate your life to fitness health and bodybuilding that my test should be higher in that age ..
It's cool that mds do treat people in need based on symptoms/ overall picture and not simply outdated guidelines based on statistics of single markers. Didnt know about the age differences in hormonal peaks. Cool!
Mine are 1800 (32 year old male) I spend most the day in the sun riding my bicycle around Thailand. I sleep 10 hours like a baby in a freezing cold room
Working out / sports , good rest , quitting porm and a good diet will greatly improve testosterone. I have gyno from having low test in highschool and it made me feel like shit for a VERY long time. Started changing my lifestyle when I was 18 and now i am 19 and noticed these following changes: - deeper voice - less afraid of confrontations - big confidence boost - higher libido - good energy levels throughout the day ( I don't drink any caffeine but feel as if I could work all day long)
Sleep helps with just about anything. Porn probably relates more to dopamine/prolactin and hence motivation and maybe gives some drive to change their life. (Yes i know prolactin is a dubious cause of refractory fatigue following ejaculation.. still the best theory that prolactin spikes and/or dopamine is fatigued after ejaculation hence some lethargy that in some cases lasts many hours. Anyway dopamine is anti prolactin. It's probably specific receptors at play not system wide levels).
I personally doubt porn itself does anything except changes sexual tastes somewhat. Anything permanent anyway... dopamine systems are extremely flexible. Ppl can abuse cocaine etc and be mostly fine within weeks. If porn really alters dopamine receptors it should be generally reversible
Exercise (strength training) and enough vitamin d are some of the few things that seem to nudge natural production upwards by a few 10's of percent. That and the obvious things like normal bodyfat, enough sleep and not being obese... Highly unlikely to move you from low end to high end ( not that that matters) might move from 400 to 600 at most. +50% maybe. Those differences maybe provide psychological benefit but hardly much body composition changes from the testosterone level itself, its more like the opposite body comp moves t up slightly.
Hey Doc, why are heterosexual and gay men being treated like trash when we ask for T therapy but Trans patients are being escorted to whatever they want? I’m being dead serious.
My test was only 160 last time i went to the clinic and they dont want to start any trt or even talk about it because i have mental issues. But on the other hand i know a girl that have more severe mental health issues than me and she got al the best hormones to transition to male but a couple months after the surgery and the hormon therapie she wanted to become a girl again 🤔 so people with severe mental issues get help with hormones but people that have fisical prpblemt and dont produce enough just have to get over it
I'm confused about my levels. I'm a 32 year old male with a score of 452 (taken at 11am), but my SHBG levels are low (normal range but low normal) at 25 and my albumin is 47. This gives me a bioavailable testosterone level of 292, supposedly my testosterone level (total = 452) is within the normal range but my bioavailable is very high? Not sure what to make of it.
Keep in mind the total testosterone level doesn't correlate well with the free (active) testosterone level. You can have a high T level and still a low free T level.
@@davidboman7395yeah, I'm 25 at 465. I got on TRT this week. My blood showed 520 7 months ago. Feel like ass. I hope it helps. If not, well....oh well. Gonna see if my clinic will let me juice? 🤷♂️
That’s considered healthy and normal. Can I ask if you have male pattern baldness? My husband has low levels under 200 and he has never lost any hair despite being in his mid thirties. I’m wondering if he gets in hrt that he will suddenly experience hair loss.
@@davidboman7395 I was 20 and had 260 ng/dL. Didn´t have any symptoms of low testosterone at all. Strong as hell (I think I benched 315lbs), and I felt great. Got checked at 21 and it was 288 ng/dL. I don´t see the whole point of it. I´m way lower now but everything is working fine
I moved to the Philippines and was on TRT for being in the 250 range. im 55, and I've been on trt for about 15 years I had my blood work done in philippines, and all is good, but I do not understand the testosterone results. it says 24.65 ng/ml. Any help would be appreciated
That's a beast level testosterone , still normal but on the high end , it's suppose to be 6.5 -25 ng/ml. and you are lucky with the perfect level, what is the does you took and how often? keep it.
I'm a male and was 16 years old when i did a testosterone test and i had 1.6 nmol/L which is probably 43ng/dl idk. The thing is i’ve been experiencing a lot of feminine feelings since i was a kid and they are slowly destroying my life, i also feel some strange stuff towards men and i’m always scared to leave my house. I always get regected by everyone and i guess it’s because of my feminine feelings. Does low testosterone have something to do with this case?
Perhaps that's just how you are. As long as you are a good person, and you treat people with respect and kindness, that's all you can control. I don't know where you live, or how your society works, but hopefully you can become comfortable in your skin one day.
I'm symptomatic, but have tested a few times in the low-"normal" range. Ie: 300-450. No physician has taken the conversation past that. They won't prescribe anything. Haven't even asked me about my lifestyle or been willing to have the conversation. I'm 30. Htf do I proceed?
As a gay male I truly understand what straight men are going through but also see that Trans men are able to get their TRT but everyone else continues to have issues with our very own GP’s not entertaining the idea of getting help for low T. I’m currently 37, soon to be 38. My T levels have been steady since Jan of 2023 at 150 to 160. The frustration is real. I’ve grown very jealous of those who are Trans and are able to meet their goals while I’m over here not being taken seriously about my well being as a male.
Mine is at about 700 I eat clean. High fat. Butter, Ghee, Eggs, Lamb, Beef, Oysters, Fish and some othrr great stuff. I don't even workout right now. But once I get back to it, my levels will be at 1000 after maybe what? 5 months.
Working out every day is the reason of your problem. You shouldn't work out more than 3-4 days a week. Your body just can't regenerate and so your testosterone levels
Mine was 29 nmol/l so about 911 ng/dl, taken at 9 am, and I'm 22 years old. My problem is that I don't feel as if I have high test. I don't have a good bear growth, I'm not that tall, I don't have insane amount of muscle, my voice isn't that deep, etc. I just feel regular and I expected to get somewhere in the lower range of 300-400 so that I could get some help. But now because I have high testosterone values I don't get any help and I don't know what to do because I still feel bad but I don't have any "excuses" due to low test, bad food, low exercise, etc. What can I do?
911 is way above average, if you were to get on TRT it would more than likely make you worse off than before unless you were on a massive dose which would in turn give you more side effects and raise your estrogen. Stay hydrated and exercise. I know it sounds cliche but there’s a reason why everyone says it
For most: t levels are hugely over rated. Especially. young guys obsess over it. Chances are there's something else than low normal t-levels at cause. Anyway you'd generally need below 400ng/dl or 15nmol/l for the most liberal private doctor to even think about trt. National guidelines for trt are usually below 10 or so nmol/l. Plenty of big guys have 400-500 at 20-30yrs of age. Also depends on shgb / free testosterone.
