My first wilhelt deck was close to this. With a focus towards mill and recur. After several games and multiple revisions it is now tribal zombie with only 3 non zombie creatures. I found mill to be better with scarab god.
Same here. Now my Wilhelt deck is full of token generators and 6 nom zombie creatures (Ghoulcaller Gisa, Death Tyrant, Liliana Heretical Healer, Gisa Glorious Resurrector, Morbid Opportunist and Geralf Visionary Stitcher). I think I'll replace Morbid Opportunist and Geralf by Poppet Stitcher and Undead Warchief ASAP.
I'm building a wilhelt deck and I was looking for some secondary win cons the embalmers tool is a great idea if the board gets locked. thanks for showing the corpse connoisseur too, he would be great for tutoring gravecrawler so I can use the real tutors to get the other combo pieces. Great vid
This is pretty cool. I never even thought about eternalize and definetly a unique route to build Wilhelt. I wonder if arcane adaptatiom would be a good include to turn your non zombie eternalize cards into zombies. Then it would trigger wilhelt.
It depends how much you rely on the non zombie needing to trigger Wilhelt. In general, I wouldn't think you should need Adaptation unless you're going really deep into Eternalize and Embalm (20ish creatures I would think). But your mileage may vary!
@@aktirimagic4405 I'm fairly new so might have the wrong handle on this but I think you'd sac a zombie to Altar of Dementia. Wilhelt then creates a 2/2 zombie with decayed, yet it doesn't have decayed because of poppet stitcher, therefore infinite sac's/mills
If your meta is to aggressive, it certainly can be slow. I think of those bodies as tool for the other sac mechanics of the deck, not as a large attack force.
