I compared both and have ordered the XC40 for its better rear visibility, roof window openability and retractable shade, better cargo space. But I do agree that the C is very cool looking.
I don't think the coupe look works. Not just on the Volvo but also the BMW thing they make too. Much nicer lines at all angles on the XE40. The C40 only looks cool from the rear, from the side it looks weird.
FYI - there’s a function that allows for the rear headrests to tilt down which I love since I’m obsessed with rear view. I have this in my 2013 XC60 and 2020 XC90. If you have rear passengers, your view will be obstructed, but that would be the case anyways as the headrests would be up.
We purchased the 2022 XC40 Recharge Ultimate. I find it to be better looking, more mature. Better rear visibility and more rear overall cargo space. I acknowledge my taste is a minority opinion.
We have 2 car seats in the rear and they fit fine in the c40. We also have the 2021 gas t5 xc40 and the only reason I like the gas better than the ev is for the range . Every other thing about the c40 to me is better. Ride comfort, power, and handling. Overall with these gas prices the c40 is a much better way to go.
Thanks for answering this question! I haven't been able to decide between the two. Your review sort of confirmed what I was leaning towards, too - the C40.
I bought the Polestar2 instead of either of these. As nice as these are I just didn't want and SUV. The Polestar2 is on the same platform as these two.
The one pedal driving is to allow you to actually get the claimed range. It makes a big difference to use the regenerative braking. And arguably with practise there's no reason you can't drive around a track just as fast or even faster as combined with the pedal brake you should be able to brake much later in to corners.
Simple, one is the fast back version of the other, and they will look even more similar for 23 when XC40 gets same front end. We have one of each and they ride the same, other than front and dash trim would not know the difference. There is slightly less rear cargo space in C40 due to the fast back.
Does regenerative one pedal drive come with automatic brake lights on? if no then I will never use it because its extremely dangerous and higher chance you'll be rear end by other driver on your back
XC40 allows to put extra storage in the roof too, something which I think it is not possible in the C40... Only reason for me to go for the C40 is its look (it looks better than the XC40 imho)
Hello good video, but you need to know that the range of the c40 ande the consume is better than de xc40 recharge, becuase of the coope design. I think this is an important different not only the sits back that in my opinion is good for family too.
I'm done with electric cars, I went back to gasoline because of all hassle associated with electric cars and trucks ! No more for me , I've learned my lesson and my " ELECTRIC CAR ANXIETY SYNDROME IS GONE " ... Happy days are here again !!
Lol looks at stereo and what's on? ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xat1GVnl8-k.html Love my xc40 recharge but we have had issues with the infotainment
Worth noting another big difference between the 2 is that the XC40 has a shade for the panoramic sunroof. Also the cargo cover for both cars fits under the rear deck which is a really cool feature and showing off the trunk without the cover would be helpful. Great video overall.
@@jmWhyMe wow that’s surprising but apparently on dedicated ev platforms it’s possible.I was told the Genesis GV60 is more spacious inside than the EGV70 .Good to see they are using the space well in EV’s
Unless you want a car that has proper build quality and repairability. Tesla has 1 thing and one thing alone, and that is charging infrastructure and unless you're going cross country, which most never will, that is moot.
@@DexxonGamer77 I drove a Polestar 2 and rented a Tesla Model 3. Yes, the Volvo or Polestar is built measurably better and just feels a lot more premium. The Tesla, outside of its performance, feels almost like an economy car.
