This Harvard Medical School Continuing Education video examines the key question: What are the guidelines for exercise and how do you fit them into your day?
Elizabeth Frates, MD, summarizes guidelines from US Health and Human Services (HSS) to help empower clinicians to incorporate exercise into their lifestyle as a joyful activity. She discusses why exercise is medicine and how much you need to reap its powerful health benefits, benefits which include better cell functioning, increased creativity and the release of neurotransmitters to the brain.
Dr. Frates is the director of Lifestyle Medicine for the Department of Surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital, and this video is part 4 in the 12-part series: Clinician Wellness.
