I think the reason that European capitals did well is the list starts in Europe, so most people would fill those in. I started at the back (in Africa) and worked my way up, but ran out of time before I could fill in half of the European capitals. The results are influenced by the ordering of the choices and the time limit.
The reason Athens is popular is not only because of the whole democracy thing, but greek myths are pretty much known across the world. Idk a single person who can't tell me at least the gist of a single greek myth.
I don't know anyone who's gone to Myanmar but I used to work with a lot of people who were refugees from there. They were some great people, the things that they've been through will destroy or strengthen you. Wonderful people, excellent workers, nice, caring people-which takes a tremendously strong character to persevere through those circumstances. I used to work with a lot of refugees from there, Rwanda, Sudan, Bosnia, Serbia, the Congo and it's just a fact that, on average, refugees and immigrants care more than the average American about making this a genuinely better place.
I am from Burma/Myanmar. The capital used to be Yangon, but the military government built and planned the city in the middle of the country, now known as Naypyidaw. Of course it’s a ghost town especially now that the country is in civil war.
I did pitifully on this quiz to no one's surprise. I haven't paid attention to capitals in a long time, so getting 46 is about what I could expect. My "least gotten capitals" that I actually got are amusingly the DRC, Congo, and Guinea-Bissau...all three countries being ones that have or had their capitals in their names. There's probably a youth bias too if people don't remember Congo-Brazzaville and Congo-Kinshasa (Or maybe I am the "young" one since I didn't remember Leopoldville...)
7:36 Dude, i have literally been there like 4-5 years ago, before the military overthrow. Spent 1 month in that country and have to say, that it is beautiful. The pagodas are everywhere. But unfortunetaly i don’t know, if we can go there now.
I agree. Even if you zoom on the map, you won’t find Tarawa as it’s not on the “main island”. Other capitals are pretty easy to find on the map as they are usually one of the biggest cities, but not Tarawa.

Nice video, but Tokyo is not most populated city! It have have 39 millions people. But is Shanghai, China, have the most high population. Shanghai have 41 millions, also Tokyo is second.
Because how registry in China works (almost impossible to transfer between provinces legally) its only an estimate. J don't think anyone knows the real number, not even them.
@@Francisco_Td bc of what i said, population of big cities in China are all over the place. There's a lot of migrant workers but no one is sure how many, bc technically they live back in their home towns, despite spending most of the time on the special economic zones. I don't blame you for not knowing, it's a weird system

With St. Kitts you should have also mentioned that it's the smallest (in terms of population and size) and newest country in the Americas, hence why it scored so low also with the fact that the name Basseterre may be mixed up with the largest city in the French departmentof Guadeloupe.
Mauritania and ivory coast are not smol africam nations might i add. Their capitals are hard to pronunce that is why they are less guessed. I am sure many would have tried yamoussereko or something like this
