God,that reminds me of my Combee hunt in Sinnoh. Spread around 20 honey,found 5 Heracross(1%),1 Snorlax baby form (1% but only in a specifc tree)and a bunch of more common poke. But only 1 combee(20%),which I critical hit and killed. Most unreal 2 days in pokemon. The funniest thing is that I had a friend trade me one,after I got my sweet combee I went and checked 1 tree AAAAAND a Combee.

To be fair it might have changed, I've lost count of how may times I've seen some of the strong spawns that he claims are rare, especially vespiqueen, I have seen one of them about every trip through the wild area, but then I've yet to see some of them so maybe it's just different

I just want to say if you're having trouble evolving Eeveelutions, that little island surrounded by the lake of outrage (with ditto), there is a different eeveelution that spawns there every day (thats how i found my sylveon)

Tip for finding turtanator. New feature in gen 8 you can put a Pokémon with the ability flash fire in the front of your party to make fire types appear more often. I remember finding one throwing a ball at it and then it broke out and uses explosion. After learning this trick I had a much better time finding turtanator. If your hunting a turtonator this will make your life so much easier.

Same here im actually got mad when the only weather that toxel does not appear in route 7 was the current weather(now its not) and i got really mad looking for it in the wild area and all i found were rotom,aegislash,flareon,and weavile during the process of looking for toxel in grass :(. (it made me suffer for hours because i was asked by my classmate to find him one and not by tradr using his save.in exchange though i got 50$ from him {he is a rich kid})

This is a real story: I searched for Stonjourner for 20 minutes and then I git bored. The next day, I found a Stonjourner, tried to weaken it and accidentally knocked it out. The next encounter was another Stonjourner (!) and I actually caught that one.

Galarian corsola can be found at one location in giants mirror, while it is over cast, it has a 1% over world encounter 2x1/9= .222 It is also a shield exclusive

Side note: on route 3, you can find vulpix (in sword only) whose only ability is Flash Fire (if you get unlucky and get drought, ignore this). But I’d you catch a vulpix on route 3, then put it at the front of your party, it effectively makes Sizzlipedes encounter rate 50% thanks to the flash fire change that makes it have the same overworld effect as Magnet Pull or Lightning Rod.

Although I agree with you for most. There are a few other factors you should include. Flash fire makes sizzlepeid easier to find with all other fire types and that extends to Harvest storm drain static magnet pull and lighting rod. Not that any of those matter in the end but feel like you should include them in the whole leading up to the end portion

i spent hours looking for a dreepy/drakloak for a sword playthrough. pro tip: set the day on your switch to november 1, 2019. it makes the weather a thunderstorm everywhere (i think) and thus gives you the best chances for finding either dreepy or drakloak.

This video made me realize that the Gigantamax Centiskorch I randomly got from throwing a wishing piece in a den was so rare. It makes me feel even better that I used it in my whole playthrough as my Gigantamax pokémon. Nice video, though there are a couple things that I question. For example, Togekiss being an overworld spawn doesn't seem to help it at all, since I don't think, based on your description, at least, that you could reset the area to catch it. In addition, Fire, Grass, Water, and Electric-type Pokemon can be made much easier by using certain abilities, since the game forces any encounter to have a 50% chance of being that type. For example, having a Pokemon with the ability Flash Fire changes Sizzlipede's encounter rate from 1% to 50%. That said, if every possible encounter shares this type, say Feebas on Route 2, this method doesn't work.

A few notes: With Flash Fire, Sizzlipede is easy to encounter. G-Max Charizard can be easily obtained from evolving the Charmander you can get after beating Leon (found in his house) If you catch Milotic & Ditto, Feebas is fairly easy to get. Hidden Ability Sirfetch'd is way rarer than any of the G-Max forms (with only a 1% chance in a 4/5 Star raid of even encountering him). Trying to find it even with the exploit and I've got over 350,000 watts just trying to find it. I only battled a couple, and both had it's regular ability.

I decided to use Hydreigon on my Sword team unaware of this and learned the hard way just how rare its base forms were. Serebii's guides made me think it would be a lot easier for some reason.

So. Funny story. So, I was playing through Sword and Shield for the first time. I saw that Strong Spawn Lucario and thought “I’m gonna fight it and maybe catch it.” I couldn’t catch it. And it obviously could one shot my whole team. It was level 36 and had the moves Quick Guard, Metal Sound, Calm Mind, and Bone Rush. And me? I had a Combee. Yes. I fought that damn thing for like 20 minutes. And I won. It was fun. Got a ton of XP. Eventually, after the 4th gym, I went back to the Wild Area and in that exact same location, I found that Lucario again. I caught it. I used it on my team. I still have em. His name is Dumpling.

If you played the Let’s Go games you can get them both with 5 perfect IV’s for free in the train station right before the wild area I’m sure they are the gigantamax capable ones too

If you put a vulpix or growlithe with flash fire ability in your first slot in your party and run into a exclamation mark in route 3, it’s guaranteed sizzilpede. Hope this helps for some.

Lapras took literal days to find via fishing on Route 9 it took around 450 encounters. I managed to get Destiny Knot using pick up by the time I found it and Togedemaru got from around level 40 to over level 60. I just need to find Milotic to finish my Professor Oak Challenge.

I have never caught a Dreepy. I only learned about it in a trainer encounter, and I Immediately went searching for it in the Lake of Outrage. That was weeks ago. I've been steadily searching while hunting other 'mons at the LoO *giggle* since. Never found one. I did however recieve one with good IVs in Surprise Trade. He was unnamed, so I got to rename him Darkly. He gets along just fine with my Hatterene, Bellum.

I just learned the other day that Flash Fire works just like Static and Magnet Pull, but for fire types. So Sizzlipede becomes a 50% encounter on route 3 while a Flash Fire Pokemon is in the first party slot. I really wish I knew about this months ago when I first played the game, and spent over 2 hours looking for one with a good nature. I went last night and found one in 2 random encounters. So, if anyone was looking to get them before the guaranteed Sizzlipede in the third gym, just catch a Vulpix or Growlithe on the same route, and you'll find yours within a few encounters.

19:02 I personally had the most frustrating time with Turtonator, not just cause it's weather pattern, not just because off the 2% encounter rate, not just cause off it not being an overworld pokemon, BUT also because off it's moveset. Turtonators have the move Explosion!!, making it in my opinion, the hardest pokemon to catch, this because you basicly have to throw a ball and catch it in your first throw or be lucky it doesn't explode itself, which has a 25% chance off happening (it having 4 moves, which are at lvl 60 Overheat, shell trap, shell smash and EXPLODE!).

The flipping strong spawn steelix in Stony Wilderness scared me sooo much twice Also, you said if you have a dragon type Pokémon, it is probably rare and you should breed it for your friends. You are talking to the person who has bred over a full box of dreepy in the span of 3 days, hoping for a shiny.
