I've been taking it for twenty years, since menopause and you don't need to talk with a doctor about it, just get it and figure out the dose that's right for you. It's super easy!
@@aaronb6013 I order it from Amazon. I get "Pure" brand DHEA. Micronized, 25mg. I take four of them every day. Three or four is perfectly okay but only if you're a postmenopausal woman or a man over sixty.
@@aaronb6013 If you've gone through menopause then I'd start with 50mgs per day. If your skin breaks out back off to 25. If you don't feel any difference at all, go up 25mg. It's pretty easy to figure out what's the best dosage. Also, get "Pure" brand. Most DHEA brands have little to no DHEA in them.
I just started DHEA (Natrol, 25mg once per day) supplementation a week ago. I am quite healthy and pay attention to what my body is doing/reporting/responding to. It is too early for any definitive analysis, but I have slept soundly the last three nights without using Benadryl and Tylenol to help. That's a record :), as I have used them as sleep aids for years. I also feel more settled in my mind. Less stress, if that makes sense. As for the 25mg dose - I learned over the last few years that less is almost always best, so 25mg is fine with me. You want to use small doses and give your body time to respond.
I have used the same brand but the 50 mg to help me feel better with mood swings before my period. Absolutley, it reduces my stress and lets me feel better. I DONT know its side effects as I just use it twice or three times or whenever I feel down or overwhlemed.
After watching this video I asked my doctor if I could take DHEA ( 25mg 3 times a day for 2 months )to help me produce more eggs since 8 eggs (each) were retrieved in my 2 previous IVF circles .my 3rd circle (DHEA circle ) 12 eggs where retrieved. Thanks to CHR
I get classical migraines w/ aura. I typically get a migraine just before i started my period. And when i was pregnant. I was told my migraines may lessen after menopause. I tried 25 MG DHEA, I got migraine after I took it so I stopped. Then I cut tablet in half, still got migraines. I then cut the half in half, so it's a quarter tablet. I now do this once a week, no headache. Yes, it must b used with great caution.
Hello! How long before the IVF procedure should you start taking DHEA to get high-quality eggs and a large number of them? Since I have multiple uterine fibroids, will taking DHEA hurt me? What should be the dosage of DHEA per day? Thanks.
I took DHEA 3 months before starting my second egg retrieval (icsi), because first round I didn't got so many eggs and my DHEA-S +testosterone levels were low. I had so much faith that DHEA would help, but my second retrieval was worse. I mean, I can't say if it was because of DHEA or because I was one year older ...or maybe because the protocol slightly changed- but I also didn't felt so well taking DHEA; I got greasy hair, acne and more sweating 😳. I feel bummed after this second round and regret taking DHEA. It's true, we got one more egg than last time, but one embryo less and all 3 are 6-day low quality. Last time, without dhea, we had 4 5-day excellent quality (one miscarriage, one cp, 2 still frozen).
@@BigDogHaver I was actually taking a lower dose than usually recommended. They normally recommend 75mg/ day and I only took 50mg/day. I'm not saying it doesn't help at all, but in my case, it didn't and I would highly recommend to consult with the RE before taking DHEA.
Thank you doctor I hope you can awnser my question as my doctor prescribed 7keto dhea for me but to take it at morning I already take natural desiccated thyroid. For my thyroid. I take low dose naltrexon at night. Now I feel like my thyroid is affected. Thick throat and thick head. I've heard that dhea is made from either soya or yam. Now I'm not supposed to take any soya products. Could the dhea be affecting my thyroid?
Solid video 👍🏽. I just watched another video by a Dr, a power point presentation. The research was saying that when taking DHEA orally that most of it gets converted to DHEA-S (S for sulphate if I recall correctly). She stated that sublingual, transdermal or submucosal are much better for effective administration. Well I just ordered capsules lol. I’m hoping that if I empty the contents and leave them in sublingually for several minutes will significantly increase absolutely. I’m taking them because I’m a late 30s male and want to lose fat, gain or maintain muscle and increase testosterone etc.
I have swallon eyes n skin allergy after start taking DHEA. Should I continue or stop from taking DHEA. I need tht to help in egg growth before egg collection. Advise me.
What was the dosage you took? Your body definetly reacts to tell you that something wrong does exist. You should either reduce the dose if this still continues stop it immediately and seek medical advisce. Skin allergy is not easy to treat.
Super informatie ! DHEA is a very important hormone ; its great against ----burn out , - dry skin - insomnia- mental diseases -low energie -depressions- alzheimer- parkinson and many other diseases and dis balances. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I am definitely not a doctor, but in my own personal experience and from talking to many other DHEA supplement users, 25mg. a day is the best and safest daily maintenance dose. And not to ever exceed 50mg. a day of DHEA. This goes for male or female. If you exceed 50mg. a day you will get alot more negative side effects, and the negative side effects will out weight the health benefits. Hope this helped.
@Deirdre Morris I'm on day 3 @25mg, looking for info on this as I am getting nasal congestion and now feeling like I have a cold and I never get sick. I have very low DHEA so I am surprised. Going to does every other day because I went from feeling like death to almost normal over night.
Im not a doctor but im on that and i was prescribed dhea micro dose it shouldn't affect anything because it is natural to the body..it hadn't given me no issues thus far.
@@LisaMurphy It freaking sucks, it doesnt matter what I do i still have it, i eat literally zero junk food, drink a gallon of water daily, exercise daily, shower after excercise, wash my pillowcase weekly, like wtf
@@scycosnake3964 What would probably cure you (if you're a woman) is to get onto a progesterone based birth control patch or pill. That would lower your estrogen and testosterone. Another alternative would be to cut down on all animal products and eat more cruciferous veggies. Also, add sea kelp to your diet.
@@scycosnake3964 Cut out all animal meat and milk, cheese, butter completely. No ice cream either. No dairy at all. That will lower the hormones that are giving you acne. Don't eat any processed or packaged foods like potato chips. Take a sea kelp supplement daily. If you're overweight try and lose it. This should help enormously. Also, wipe your face every three hours or four with witch hazel or rubbing alcohol. It's easy, keep the witch hazel and tissue handy so you can do it a lot. You will improve greatly.
Help please… I’m 43 female, started a TRT dose cypionate .05/1x wk along with DHEA 10mg/daily (I also have an IUD as form of birth control). Never had a huge problem with acne until 2 weeks into supplementing with TRT and DHEA. Love the way I feel on TRT but the acne is KILLING ME 😭. I know I could lower my dosage of each but feel like I’m already at a super low dose. Anyone have any suggestions on how to remedy the acne? Is lowering my dose the only solution? THANK YOU to anyone who replies!!!
Does DHEA affect FSH level and how much time does it take to affect egg quality as my AMH is very lowww...As I am taking it 3 times a day as I have Premature Ovarian Insuffiency...please reply
Hi! I was diagnosed with POF and found out it was my thyroid - my tsh was 4.76 I treated it with armour thyroid and all symptoms went away...get your thyroid checked. Done accept anything higher than 2.5tsh
I will start DHEA. I'm post menopausal. I'm not sure yet the effects (negative). I'm hoping it helps with my very dry skin. In the Philippines, this is is sold otc as a supplement.
@@deannasanders2851 I cannot tolerate estrogen either. However, I began using the OTC topical estriol (NOT estradiol, it’s the other estrogen, which has had no side effects for me. Helped me with vag atrophy & sudden & constant UTI’s after having my ovaries removed. OTC brand “Mothers Dose” with ingredient ESTRIOL (They also have estrogen, so i look specifically for the word estriol (vs estrogen or estradiol)
My very conservative MD recommend it to me and reported he used it daily. I am on long term chronic pain opioids (10-325 Norco generic) he even suggested I might have chronic inflammation reduction with DHEA morning and Tribilis in the evening.
Should a 40yr old woman with high AMH take DHEA for egg quality? I’ve read that CHR suggests all women over 40, but what about if they have a normal to high AMH?
@@realAamirShahzad There is most certainly a need. My adrenals were injured with prednisone therapy and no longer produce adequate cortisol. DHEA replaces the effects cortisol while my adrenals heal. Therefore, a taper down is necessary.
Precisely. Once again, another video geared more toward women. I'd also like to find out if it may interfere with antidepressants/ mood stabilizer, vitamins or other supplements.
From what i search about DHEA, it's not very useful for men since it has very low affinity on androgen receptors. I am also searching DHEA for my mom. She entered menopause a year ago and she have some trouble with focusing on a subject, tiredness etc.
@@talhaemirdemirgan3420 dhea is very useful for men. I’m currently taking countrylife dhea for men I totally feel a difference in a good way it’s very effective . They have dhea for women as well. www.countrylifevitamins.com/product/dhea-complex-for-men/variation-60-capsules/

I have been taking 10mg nothing happened. After a week I started taking 25 mg and I feel miserable. I have CFS and didn't had a good day since taking 25mg
1 week is too less to decide ... atleast use for a month ... low dosages are the best ... you can go up any time but once you started higher and body has adopted to that ... you can't go down

@@realAamirShahzad I have stopped taking it after a month. I'll try again in a month
Theres dhea and dhea-s (sulfate) which is the kind that floats around in the blood after being converted. Dhea-s is a prescription if im correct but regular dhea is all the same. So as long as its a reputable source from any rite aid or health store its going to do the same thing.
Not sure if you care any more, but really this would depend on you and your body, so for example, if your over 40 you could probably do as many people say here a 25mg dosage indefinitely, however if your so what an enthusiast trying to get extra results from training, you could go to 100mg, however you would want to limit how long you do this for, as always time on = time off, currently around me i see people do all sort of stuff but most common 6months-1year on, followed by the same time off, other people who just take it with no testing knowledge which I DO NOT RECOMMEND, do 1 month on and 1 month off, this is probably the safest, if your just eye balling it, as always listen to your body! Talk to your doctor, otherwise good luck.
Yep, just started taking it (10mg a a day) and made my head foggy then slept for hours ! bit like caffeine withdrawal. Im taking it to help with brain fog/better mood 🤔
@@swild3634 I took a nap a day or two after taking it. Felt great got rest. Hadn’t napped in a long time. Right after taking a energy drink. Like norm t try and get stuff done took a nap instead as if taking a nap is what I needed. It was great. Couple days In and am noticing I feeling alot better all around !
I'm the same way, however I have hardly any facial hair and not a lot of muscle mass at 27 y.o. I was a late bloomer and wanted to jumpstart my peak testosterone period I made the mistake of trying DHEA without doctors consultation, and I only used took 25 mg, about 5-6 times over the last few years. I experienced weigh gain in the waist, thighs, and have some breast tissue developing over one of my pectorals. at my age, I did not need DHEA replenishment. Do NOT take this unless you're over 40. it can have irreversible effects
So it's totally safe and legal but you need to pay a dr. to tell you you can try it 😂 I like how he starts explaining why you need a Dr. But then doesn't give a reaolson. So pompous
