Not something that I did but something I'm thankful for. When my son was about 2 yrs. old I was doing mommy and me classes and another woman in the class had to get a ride from her neighbor...her alternator died, and this guy seemed weird but we all just ignored him and continued as he sat quietly in the back of the room. When class was over we, all the moms, were just hanging out to let all the bitty ones play together. Well my son accidentally locked himself in an unused classroom (it was unused because the lock was broken), I freaked out and was preparing to break through the door to get my baby out, the weirdo neighbor guy stepped in, broke through the door and got my son out. After that long lead up the thing I'm kinda proud of is that the classmate who caught a ride from the guy told me that he had intended to end his own life after he took her and her daughter back home but when he saved my son he realized that he had a purpose and didn't want to leave this world after all. My baby boy gave a stranger a reason to live.

Looked after my 2yo nephew for 8 hours straight while my sister was sent to the hospital and my BIL went over to support her. Meanwhile me and my nephew watched Pocoyo, played outside for hours and snuggled and watched Paw Patrol. He was an absolute angel the whole time and had a blast with his good ol Aunt Sarah. I'm so proud of myself for looking after my nephew in a time of need, and it felt really good to be trusted for something so important. My sister ended up okay and left the hospital the next day.

when I was 23 I found out my grandmother who raised me, helped me through childhood cancer, and was honestly my best friend was going to be taken off of life support after being in a car accident that had already killed the other driver. I was completely devastated and and started drinking heavily and had my pistol in front of me when i decided to call one of my good friends whose wedding I had been a groomsman at earlier that year. Him and his wife talked me out of it while I sobbed like a baby and stayed on the phone with me all night until I eventually passed out in my drunken stupor. That will have been 3 years ago this September and I thoroughly relive that I wouldn’t be here today if not for him and his wife. His wife unfortunately passed away this past September and hope that I was as much help to him in his time of grief as he was to me.

I'm still here. That's it. Three and a half years ago I had the plan, the means and the letter... I was saved by a song that I came across by chance(?) and it not only saved my life but also inspired me to change a lot of things and made me a better person... *who is still here.* I don't talk about it IRL since most people around me don't know how close I came to going through with it and I don't want them to be sad, feel guilt or pity me. 💜

I'm thankful that you're still here. I don't know you and don't need to. Your loss would add to the misery in the world, whether you realise it or not in your worst moments. Therefore, you being here is a net gain for everyone.

@@cmlemmus494 Thank you very much. 💜 Whenever any "dark" thoughts encroach on my day now this quote by Kim Seokjin will instantly weaken their hold: "Your presence can bring joy. I hope you always remember that." And I do. 😊

I'm sure I've shared this before somewhere but I'm sharing it again. I used to work in a grocery store bakery. This was not a safe workplace environment. The tiles on the floor had become so smooth that you could slip just walking normally even if the floor was bone dry. The wheels on the baking racks would randomly stick and you'd have to jostle the rack a bit to get them rolling again. The floor in the proofer had collapsed so the only thing holding up the runners for the racks was a single drain. There was a lot more but these were the ones that led to my proudest work moment. One morning the baker was trying to pull one of the racks out of the proofer. The baker lost their footing trying to wrangle the rack out and fell with the rack falling on top of them and knocking them unconscious. Luckily, there was someone in another department that was close enough to hear the ruckus and came running. The baker was taken to the hospital and the department and store managers were informed. The department manager had been trying to get the store manager to fix these issues before something like this happened but they had refused. After the baker was injured, the store manager's response was to avoid the department manager even more than they already were. I was the assistant department manager at the time and the department manager told me what the store manager was doing and how powerless they felt to get these very serious issues properly dealt with. Safety is a huge issue for me. I was furious that my department manager was being ignored and when I got home that night I filled out an online complaint form with my province's health and safety. I figured that it would take them at least a couple days to get back to me. They called me back the next morning to get more details and to get my opinion on when would be the best day to go. That day just happened to be the same day that all the managers in the store had their weekly meeting. I let the person on the phone know this, that the best time to go would be around 2pm (when the meeting started), and that my department manager had been trying unsuccessfully for a while to get these issues looked at. The inspector took my advice and the department manager was paged to the department during the meeting. The best part? It took TWENTY MINUTES for the store manager to be alerted that someone from Health and Safety was in the store. The department manager had already shown the inspector quite a bit by the time the store manager came rushing in to do damage control. The store manager apparently tried to tell the inspector that nothing was wrong and that "any issues were fixed right away." The inspector took one look at the store manager and then turned back to the department manager and said, "show them what you just showed me." The inspector went through the department with a fine toothed comb and the department manager told me later that they had to keep eating almonds to keep from grinning the entire time. The next best part? Apparently it's policy to inspect the entire store and not just the department mentioned in the complaint. EVERY department manager had the opportunity to point out their own ignored safety issues. If I remember correctly, the store had a month to get ALL the safety violations fixed. The inspector came back a month later and examined the repairs and talked to the injured baker (they were on light duty for quite a while but no lasting damage) to see if they were happy with the repairs. The baker, of course, was thrilled. I'm assuming that head office was less thrilled since that store manager was transferred to a much smaller store in a town that's a two hour drive from the city not long after.

At 27, I had to say goodbye to my beloved service dog of 13.5 years (literally half my life). It'll be two years in exactly two weeks. I still miss her every day. But I also just celebrated two years, as of two days ago, with my younger dog. I think it took me a while to accept my new dog after losing my senior pup less than three weeks after getting her. But now my younger girl is a trained service dog and is following in her bigger sister's pawsteps. I'll never forget my older girl. But my younger girl is turning out okay.

My almost adult has never said or implied he hates me.... He's gotten frustrated/ angry.... Slammed a door... Told me to go away .. but we almost always can come back after calming down and apologize for anything hurtful done/ said and talk.... He can tell us " I broke the controller when I got frustrated and slammed it down" ..... Wasn't Happy about the choices of consequences.... Either earn the $ for a new controller himself.... Tell Nana ( my Mom and present/ $$ want giver) exactly what he told us and ask if she'd replace it.... Or wait for a birthday or Christmas..... He did not choose to tell my Mom..... Don't blame him😅😂

I moved halfway across America to be with someone I love and supports me, to get away from a family that believes that mental health problems means you're weak. I'm in therapy and my SO and I are planning on marriage.

I'm proud that I dared to be my sisters bridesmaid, walking down the aisle and all (suffer from social phobia and much more and had recently gotten out from the psych ward where I was locked up for months against my will, by law), even stood with her during the entire ceremony. Uh. What game is this? Lol.

I'm probably the only one nerdy enough to be bugged by this but... it bugs me how he said I V S, not IVs. IV is a pokémon term that stands for Individual Value. Basically how good a pokémon's stats are naturally (before any training). Still, I'm not nerdy enough to care too much about IVs. Heck, I recreated Team Charm in Black 2 and raised them to Level 100. Today I looked up their stats and the Gardevoir has a 0 in Sp Atk. Good thing I maxxed out her EVs (Effort Values) so she's still a beast.

12:59 lost a few animals over the years, what happens when you are an animal lover. Hardest hitters though were my childhood pets. Namely my dog (cancer took her at the ripe old age of 7 :/ ), my guinea pig (my first pet of my own) and my childhood cats, one died at 19 and the other made it to 18. Both were sweethearts. I was there when all of them went. I still remember petting my dog on her last night when she was apparently too weak to move. poor thing

The Trump story is funny because the same way he enjoyed making someone upset enough to file a claim against his fake story, we find it hilarious that Trump makes those people upset enough to create the fake stories to begin with 😂
