Escape from Tarkov is a massive multiplayer online combat simulator with RPG elements developed by Russian Saint-Petersburg-based game developer, Battlestate Games. Set in the fictional Norvinsk region located on the frontier between Russia and Europe, the metropolis of Tarkov was plunged into anarchy thanks to the Contract Wars. Something I did not realize until after I posted this video is actually the different ospreys have different aramids behind them, the ragman level 3 one has aramid level 2 and the peacekeeper 4 one has aramid level 3.

I'm pretty sure that gen 4 mobility is one of the best armors in the game right now. Same benefits as redut, with more mobility. It only has a 2% mobility penalty atm.

Its been confirmed in other tests that the 6B13 diamond and 6B23 Diamond plus rectangle plates have the exact same hitbox. There are basically only two types of plate hitboxes: Front and Back RU style, and Front and Back Western style.

Do you know what shape hitbox they both have? Is it the 13s or the 23rd?

@@Chevalier_knight Seemingly the diamond one (Zhuk and 6B13 default). 6B23 is compatible with both types of plates, and the plate hitbox stops at the same spot at the bottom of both plate designs.

Ah interesting, the western and eastern plates certainly have different hitboxes though.

The NFM THOR Concealable Reinforced Vest is an armor I have been using a lot. It has the western Front and Back Plates (which have a better Hitbox than the russian ones) possibility for Sideplates AND level 3 Aramid while weighing only 1.7kilos without plates. It's only problem is the missing neck armor and I have died once or twice from a hit in the neck, which even level 2 Aramid would have saved me from, but the level 3 Aramid is worth it to me. Not being able to get your soft armor around the plate penned by almost every round people are shooting right now is a godsent. Also you can sometimes get them for around 60k on the Flea Market (and sometimes people even forget to take out the plates and just sell it to you like that)

This is my first wipe that I’m actually playing just wanna say these videos been helping me a lot since normally I don’t play past lvl 5 I’m not lvl 21 n these videos are saving my ass lol the other wipes I played it was before the recoil changes

I fell like defender 2 is right there on par with redut m or even better since it's cheaper, weighs 2 kilo less, has a bit less debuff and has all the same protection except for useless side plates

What do you think of the GAC 3s15m ballistic plate found in the Hexatac HPC (Ragman Level 4)? Class V plates and ONLY 0.970 kg! I feel like this is an insane lightweight option that's being slept on. Barter is 3 rollers for one Hexatac (2 plates).

thor crv is really good,only lack the neck protection but it have lvl 3 soft armor and lvl 4 plates by default + you can put side plates and its cheap (2 sdiary barter)

Osprey from Ragman has aramid lvl 2, while Osprey (P) has lvl 3. It's not much of a question what to use if you have both unlocked.

While it doesn’t have removable plates I’ve been having success with the Uley Flora variant. Front and back built in Level IV plates with Level III aramid covering you up entirely is a godsend midwipe and against scavs (I’m new and they sometimes still one shot me)

There is a class 3 and class 5 armor plate that weigh incredibly little. The class 3 one weighs less than .5 kilo The class 5 one weighs just about 1 kilo The class 3 one is my go to for rear plate armor.

@@TickleMePinkGaming The level 3 one is the PRTCTR lightweight balistic plate, its the one that comes default in the back of the press armor. The level 5 one is the the GAC 3s15m I found some other armors that are also extremely light weight For level 4, Monoclete Level III There are also some that are level 6: the Kiteco SC-IV SA ballistic plate and the GAC 4sss2 All of these plates are made of UHMWP so they have really good durability too. Though im not sure how to get the level 5 and 6 ones. The level 4 and 5 weigh about a kilo, the level 6 ones are around 3 kilos. I'm not sure that these are all of the really lightweight plates in the game, but i would look at more UHMWP plates. It seems that they have similar weight and protection as ceramic plates, but with really high durrability I'm using the Monoclete and the PRTCTR because of their weight, additionally, the Monoclete is currently cheaper on the flea than some other level 4 plates.

I havent really noticed the armor helping all that much this wipe. Usually die to head, eyes. Or people just hit me with rounds that pen anyway.

They 100% do i killed a guy who had lvl 4 plate but lvl 2 neck soft with my shotgun with two fast taps and he hit my lvl 3 with .300 blackout from a mcx and i only had half stomach damage

Just noticed that the Aramid on the Osprey protection variant is class 3 so combined with the shoulder protection it should be a decent bit better than the Redut, in my opinion.

Me currently level 10 buying and repairing 6B13 with lvl 4 armor plates all 95%+ durability. from fence. I currently have 6 in my inventory.

I do not believe you should be able to put plates from a slick into the redut. Slick uses SAPI plates and the redut uses Granit. Different form factors. If you can use slick plates in the redut, it is likely a bug.

Reason why you dont see people swap plates in-raid is since plate strength (class) does not reduce as its durability decreases, this alongside a flat increase to the effective durability of (armour) materials and low availability of high pen ammo (and the fact you can get armpit'd or throat'd regardless of running good plates), means swapping plates ain't important for most situations.

Even at bigger lvl... Run what you like(weight/protection) and what you can long time afford. Even tier 4 can work very well because lot of people's still run shit ammo. Until you meet somebody with 5a1/6a1/m80/m61/big slughs that Armor work's. You can have many decent armors from scavs...

I just dont see a reason for side plates. It is proven it only protects stomach and the movement penalty+weight just not worth it. Aramid side is enought.
