@God Emperor Doom You should see a ship before they get painted, the steel used is quite dark and they tend to rust quite a bit :P Also here in Finland we call any metal that rusts "musta rauta", literally translated to "black metal"

This is the best game I’ve played in years. It has a minimum of 150hours of gameplay (not including building massive villages/castles) and it’s only in early-access.

The complete lack of structural support in his buildings gives me physical pain.

It gave me pain trying to make a gigantic castle with wide open floor plans so I kicked structural integrity down to -95% or 20x. After like 120 hours of build you either really like pain or you kick integrity down. It makes zero difference in the game since you can just 1 deep a trench around anything and make it mostly invulnerable.

@@davidmoak1219 You can do it, but it requires full iron pillar support to build, so you either cheat like 1000 iron into your inventory or enslave your friends in the swamps like I did. If you wanna double your building height you can plant a pine and build on top of it. You can also glitch the iron pillars to reset their integrity by building tons of them at awkward angles and deleting some until it doesn't register a path to the ground, but I don't fully understand how to make that happen reliably. If you want the most painful engineering experience, try building a huge bridge that acts as a dock for longboats between 2 islands. Underwater building is hell.

This game is so good. I can't wait to see what updates they are coming up with. I have heard there will be new biomes and bosses and also more base customization possible with like new type of wood and stone.

@@charlieinabox1164 the new construction components did happen though. And the mistlands uodate is set to release soon. The pains of a small studio making a masterpiece picked up by q00s of thousands of players. They've spent most of their time just trying to do bugfixes and qol updates

@@mrmoosetachio You're not wrong but it wasn't anything that retained the player base. Bugfixes and qol should come after major features anyways as they are just going to introduce new bugs and break existing fixes. The active player base is down a measly 5% of what is was in the first 2 months after launching early release in early 2021 and looking at history the update you speak of only doubled the player count for 15-20 days to 10% in September 2021.

Playing through this right now with 3 of my good friends. We've had a fucking blast. We've put in around 80 hours over the last two weeks and we're at the plains right now taming Lox and Wolves, raiding villages and farming up enough flax to fully upgrade our Padded armors to prep for Yagluth. This shit is amazing with friends. I made an awesome base on top of 3 of the huge rock pillars in the plains while my buddies go out and farm me materials so I can keep building. Can't wait to get into the mistlands.

Afaik the there is 8 potential spawns for the trader on the map. He is placed at the first of these spots once you get near it, thats when the icon on the map appears. And by the way, you can get a rested buff just by sitting next to a small fireplace. Choose some monolits as the start and build a few structures around, ez comfort 4.

The training rock is legit. Build a campfire in that hut though to stack rested + resting buffs for 400% stamina regen. It works REALLY good

Seeing inside those chests makes me feel way better about my own horribly disorganised storage. I should really organise it because currently it's literally just a memory game, trying to remember the placement of the random ass chest that had that particular stack of items in it.

Love to see you having fun with a different game! Your eyes glowing like a childs on Chirstmas. Valheim is a great game! Easy recommended even at early access. It was like 17-18€ ... less bugs than cp2077... I even got more playtime in than some AAA titles and i aint even half way yet! Keep staying Happy Asmon!

1 thing Asmongold didnt mention is how big the games file size is, ITS 1GB give or take, like god damn, with games like cod taking up almost 500 gb, a 1gb game like this is a blessing.

I just started the game and I'm blown away by what you have done in the game... you like have things I didn't know existed, and the best of the best. I guess the game is so simple, like compared to WoW, but that also what is appealing... you can just chill, not worry about guild pressures or complicated game mechanics. Can one have more then one resting place? Like more than one dwelling with a bed? I noticed that while exploring, it's best for me to get back to my cabin before it's dark. Thanks for the video. 👍

Maybe I'm just lucky but I've never had trouble getting to the merchant. He doesn't spawn that far away from your starting point and it's ALWAYS in the Black Forest.

Graphics is a personal thing. For some people they won’t play a game that doesn’t look great but I think they’re losing out on a lot of interesting experiences that don’t get triple A support
