BBQ CLASSES WE RECOMMEND: shareasale.com/r.cfm?b=136708...
In this video we will compare the full product offering of blaze gas grills. Blaze offers three different model options for gas grills. First lets start with the basic model.
The basic model still boasts 8mm thick cooking grates, sear diverters, and also 304 stainless steel construction on this guy.
Lets get into the upgrades that you get with the LTE however.
Once you go to the LTE you have several size options on the grill. The biggest and most obvious upgrade that you get is Interior and exterior lighting for the grill. The second upgrade that you get is heavier duty cooking grates which move to a 9mm thick. The other thing to pay attention to is the shape of the cooking grates as well. Its a triangular shape so the bottom thicker part can hold and retain more heat. Where as the upper part is more pointy for a finer sear on your meat which is pretty cool! Other then those two features they are the same grill.
Now lets move on to the PRO or professional series by blaze. Which is their most premium product that they offer. There really isn't a good comparison between these grills. The pro series gets a complete make over and is an entirely different grill. Its much larger in size and has a deeper hood. better cooking grates, in hexagon shape. better sear plates, better cast stainless burner and rotisserie kit becomes standard as well!

I cant speak for the Blaze LTE but I own the Blaze Professional shown here. I don’t recommend it because it leaks water through that front shelf directly into and fills the drip tray with water which makes a huge mess inside the cabinet or your built in version. I emailed Blaze and they wrote back to me that nothing could be done. I have a cover for it, but inevitably you forget to put the cover on one night, or it starts to rain while you are grilling and then you have a holy mess. Also, when I try to set the burners on low heat, they blow out very easily. That could possibly be adjusted but I expected that the burner would be adjusted correctly for a $3k+ grill. It’s a real shame because as the reviewer points out, it is a very solidly built grill. The components are heavy and seem to be high quality, but I cant get over the leaking into the drip tray, it is just a fatal design flaw on the professional model.

I was considering a Blaze until i found out they are made in China, parts are crazy expensive $150 EACH for replacement flame tamers, and customers reporting great difficulty in getting warranty issues addressed. Now looking more at American made Artisan.

Do you see a need for a seat burner for the pro or do you think the better burners in the pro are sufficient?

Any issue with it at all? I’m seeing a LOT of people complaining of flare ups and rusting burners. Those are 2 issues I was leaning towards a blaze. Thanks in advance. Why does spending 2k plus have to be this hard lol

So outside of your reviews I can’t seem to find any feedback at all. Amazon reviews pretty much say that the stand is garbage and it will blow over in a windstorm. The wheels are useless making it impossible to move. Others say the flare ups are insane and ruin virtually everything with a fat content higher than chicken. They also claim the heat distribution is very uneven. Would you have any input to any of these concerns? A lifetime warranty is amazing and no frills is what I’m really looking for. My current Weber summit hold is going on 15 yrs. I really want a large cook area with no flare ups, no burners to replace every 6:7 years. My concern is the lack of reviews on this make me feel like it’s a fly by night grill and a lifetime warranty may be useless

What is your price range?
@curiousbuyer8431
@curiousbuyer8431 3 года назад
2500-3500 range. I can go a tad higher if it’s really worth it. My Weber summit has been by my side for over a decade. I’m heading into retirement and while I won’t have kids to cook for I like a big grill. Thanks

I have a Blaze grill that was installed in 2014 by the former owner. They took terrible care of it. I made the mistake of replacing all the cast burners rather than dragging the unit to the curb. The burners wouldn't light fully. The flare guards, rather than reducing flare, tend to more often cause it by trapping drippings within range of the flames. Simple things seem to take forever with this grill. You can't even cook hot dogs evenly. With the 4 inch wide opening across the entire back of this unit, slow and indirect cooking methods are both frustrating for temperature regulation and they are a massive waste of fuel. You may as well take a 6 inch hole saw to the lid. The rear infrared burner won't light any more. Drip guards over the igniters have rusted off. The outer finish pits, and I don't live near salt water or salt pools. Because these aren't defects in manufacturing, the warranty is toilet paper. My Blaze grill is built in and to be honest I would actually give the Pro a shot, but in a blaze of genius, Blaze doesn't make a 40-inch drop in replacement for their 40 inch non-Pro, the choices are 32 and 44 due to the H-shaped burner design that is pretty much an admission that the standard grill design is flawed. When a manufacturer sells two grades of product, you can often foretell the problems you'll have with the lower quality model by looking at the issues they addressed in the higher price unit.

Thank you for your honest reply. I have seen too many reports of uncontrollable heat and flare ups as you describe. I liked this for the lifetime warranty. But why buy a grill that flees up non stop. I don’t want an infrared burner. Don’t want a rotisserie, I want a solid grill with 6 burners that produces real heat evenly. I can’t believe 25 yrs later I’m I the same dilemma I was when I 1st settled for my Weber. You have any suggestions on what you’re looking for to replace yours?

@@curiousbuyer8431 I'm still shopping. I have a granite countertop that complicates the choices. Unfortunately Blaze is all the rave, and that's great when the product is new and when you use a grill for fast cooking methods. I don't want to buy a separate cooking product for indirect and slow. I just need a grill that closes and ideally has a circle vent (not a chimney) and that fits the cutout. I expect I'll need to get the granite recut to install what I want.
