WHAT?! Bungie Has NEVER Done This In Trials Before! (Shocked!)
In the 9th straight week of Trials (The longest consecutive run since 2021) Bungie included the greatest surprise of all... a Trials map that we have NEVER seen before. I was very very skeptical at first, but was pleasantly surprised with how the experience felt. However, only time will tell whether this remains as my opinion through the week. Enjoy!

Thank you for your comments on players who talk trash to players trying to play, practice, and improve at trials. Everyone starts somewhere and the skill gap for Destiny 2 is miles wide.

Here’s the thing with that tho, you literally have people who can’t land a single shot even body shot with damn controller going to trials, which is literally end game PvP, tell me should you go to end game when you still level 1? I always try to tell people go into quickplay/comp and get better there, trials is not for “getting better” if you understand what I mean

@@waleedkhathamy2794 there is a light requirement I think, so level 1 players aren't making it into trials. Definitely newer players are but nobody brand new. Newer players still have to start somewhere. It won't be good. That's just the nature of the game and matchmaking though. Everyone gets that luck or bad luck

@@waleedkhathamy2794valid point but the thing is with that is Bungie places weapons there everyone wants and everyone pays the same well mostly so it the setup. Also you could be teamed up with a 6 year old. People would be happy to play for non adept weapons and gear if placed elsewhere

@@bobbyvoth6242 I understand but literally going into trials solo without much experience won’t get you anywhere, you are literally ruining the experience for others by doing so, going in with a stack is a different story, and I know there are very very few ppl who are inexperienced that happen to go flawless but I’m sure you know how, mostly being carried which sucks cuz not everyone is carry material, and that happen with a very few % of ppl so the rest get fucked over unfortunately

I agree with jack it’s cool new people are coming into trials the new passage encourages non PvP people to try out trials and hopefully get a weapon but just as Jake’s last 3 matches went are a majority of how mine go being a solo like I had to duo with my buddy who is as good as I am to get flawless and even then it’s a rough time. Something to me feels like it changed recently and it just makes the playlist feel very stale with all these sweat players

PSA to everyone in the comments, if you aren’t really a “pvp player” just at least hold hands with your tm8s and dont peak the ENTIRE team by yourself. 😭 I promise you you’ll have a lot more success. I’ve already went flawless twice yesterday. Teamshotting IS the meta for solo trials.

Jake's kinda on to something: imagine a 6v6 Trials that would be pretty awesome actually! Props for not always uploading your highlights and showing a raw Trials card where things didn't go your way. I don't get how teammates who know who Jake is don't glue themselves to him the entire match to give him the best chances to slay thus netting you the win? Ya'll know he went Flawless many times after this, but it's funny how some matches we get lulled into a false sense of "Oh yeah, we're good, we got this in the bag" early into the match and then the whole team falls apart lol.

It’s really crappy because one team can spawn real close to the zone and you have dmts and long range all over the place. And I think the map is too big with zones to capture. This map shouldn’t have any freakin zone to capture as you could be walking forever to the zone and if you have been fighting u will never make it to the zone in time to stop people

Jake you finally experienced what the average player goes through in trials. More often than not matchmaking puts 3 blueberries against 3 sweats. Not a lot of fun and part of the reason participation is low.

Winning 5:0 and loosing 0:5 shouldn’t be happening so much yet it is. Either you stomp on your opponents and have no challenge which isn’t fun, or you get stomped on and can’t do anything thus zero fun. Really hope they fix this matchmaking. I felled at the gates of the lighthouse 4 times now since trial’s opened yesterday, all with games that were 0:5 losses, very infuriating. Time to take a break.

I have been playing destiny off and on over the years and I really like how Trials is now. Before when you needed groups to play, I hated it. I would kicked out, cussed out, ect. Now I can just hop in, have fun, and learn how to play the game mode.

Bungie matchmaking is an unacceptable joke. On south east asia servers it's near impossible to get a team to all just be present in the game. koreans, japanese and chinese players will come from a tilt spree, spawn and kill themselves just so they can get afk xp. Reporting doesnt help. The cherry on the cake is that they nearly always have stupid ping. Or 1/4 lobbies have a blatant cheater. If I play 20 games, i'd win 3 if I am lucky. And that's as someone who came from EUW with a good KD of 1.8 in trials. I'm tired and I want them to suspend accounts faster. If you see Lorely's in PVP you know it's an AFK kid with osteo shooting at the same place for the mach.

Gone 7 and 20, with most loses 0 to 5, the four weekends i played it. At one point went 0-35 in rounds. Guess what mode i stopped playing. I could balance teams better drawing random names out of a hat. And for the record, I'm frequently number 2 on my team. So its not always me.

I get the 2.5 kda players gilded flawless x10 on my team who get a .3kda it’s literally insane to me when I 20x a gilded flawless guy when I’m like 400 trials games played total. And it’s ONLY when they’re on my team, next game if I’m against them it’s back to them being pro players

I haven’t touched trials in a few seasons because I was in the same boat as you. I get terrible matchmaking with bad teammates and PvP pros on the enemy team. I’m a very competitive person and get frustrated when there are relatively high stakes. It just wasn’t healthy for me to play trials because I would be getting so angry at everything. Myself, my teammates, the enemy, the dog barking incessantly outside. With that new card, persistence I think it’s called, the one that doesn’t care how many losses you get I may hop in to fill out my collections.

Solos is easier then ever, almost every weekend I have gotten flawless usually only taking a couple hours at most, except last weekend I just kept getting terrible teammates lol. Before this current system I'd have my buddy carry me 😂

Yeah I feel that match making, I’m not the best but every game earlier I had to play out of my skin to win or we lost, I had one dude follow me around the map shooting me for the whole game and he got 2 kills the whole game and tbh I think they were assists I messaged saying I don’t mind that he is not the best but at least shoot the other team and not me the whole match and he said why, you try to be nice and you get a smart arse nice and yeah he basically screwed my run twice on my team, thanks bungie haha. The lobby balancing does feel off but what can you do

I dropped a 17 kill game to win it for my team lighthouse game and my guys were both negative blueberry’s but that’s the game still managed to win against 2 good players and 1 decent player on the other team. This map is buttclenching to reach a control zone in time 😂 multiple times my team has won and lost bc the opponent's were so far away from the control zone or vice versa and either they or we captured it before the opposing team got there in time 😂

Yeah I was watching earlier and was blown away the matchmaking had a rare fail for Gjake on his 1st card. That was my whole weekend the last 2 trial weekends. Got to 6 wins on 4-5 cards last week alone with no losses and matchmaking quality nosedives and got matched with newbies and got washed. I can look at the matches before loading in, see the players and can predict who you’ll play with and whether it’ll be a stomp match or not. Usually I am correct. Enjoyed watching Jakes comeback on the flawless shortly after this card though.

Last weekend I played with a dude that kept running in and dying every round. Then I get toxic messages for the next half hour from the dude saying I'm trash even tho he died every single round but because I didn't play the way HE wanted me to, apparently that warrants him to blame and be toxic to me for over 3 pages of chat 🤦‍♂️ Funny he takes NO blame for any of the losses

The problem with trials is people are ruining other players cards because they will rush people and hope to get a kill or they will stand right out in the open. This is why trials is really painful for solo players like me where I get punished hard if I kick butt for a game or 2. Like I don’t understand how 2 or 3 players that already went flawless go up against 3 people that never go flawless

@@yabuts dude I was thrilled with the crucible changes. I was singing bungies praises. But literally no one likes this map. It’s either the most or second most hated map in crucible rotation. If I load into it in 6s I dip immediately. Bungie just shut off trials from a large portion of the player base because we refuse to play on this map.

Drang hits like a truck. However if I’m on void I run round robin with enhanced elemental capacitor which means close to 70 stability and it feels better on the repeat shots then drang. But drang feels like you hit a ton of headshots
