I always loved the rare and unique Hammer suit. It felt so mythical to get as a kid back on the NES.

Actually, Hammer Mario can indeed ride in Kuribo's Shoe normally, _unless_ you're using the Game Genie code (XNKXGLIE) that permanently keeps you in Hammer Mario form (which I believe you are, since you stayed as Hammer Mario whenever you took damage elsewhere in the video). (8:56) Yeah, I already know that you can KO Bowser with hammers. Since fireballs defeat Bowser with 35 hits, you just have to have hammers overlap him for 35 frames, which can be done easily with just a few hammers depending on your aim. (9:14) The number of hammers required varies depending on how long they overlap Bowser, so it won't necessarily take 6 hammers. Perhaps you should see what an invincibility star can kill next.

I managed to get to Bowser legit with the Hammer suit, years ago, and beat him. Never forgot that.

Fun fact: if you allow stomping, Hammer Bro. Mario can destroy precisely every enemy that Invincible Mario can, and vice-versa.

Once I realized the hammer could take out most enemies the fireball couldn't, I got curious and abused save states to get to Bowser with the hammer suit. Holy crap, that fight is LAUGHABLY easy with hammers. He can't hit you if stay under the doorway and chuck hammers at him from below.

So basically the tanooki and hammer suit are two of the best. Imagine Hammer Luigi and Tanooki Mario fighting through levels on the same screen.

actually, that's not the actual message, its "Hey, you! Can you lend me your clothes? No dice? What a drag."

In one of the levels, a Giant ? Block contains a Hammer Bro suit. If you collect it while sliding on the nearby... slide, you will actually continue sliding and a never-otherwise-used sprite of Hammer Mario sliding appears.

The Hammer Suit is so OP, it's unbelievable. People always say the Tanoki is the best, but they haven't played that one!

Heh, I tested out a lot of this stuff with SMB3 and a Game Genie back in the early '90's. :) About Boom-Boom and Bowser, how many hammers can take them out depends on what angle the hammers pass through them. Depending on the angle, you could score one or multiple hits with a single hammer.

I think when you defeat a koopaling and you get rewarded by a different king the king would say something different, I found that out from beating lemmy with the hammer suit and the king said something different.

Technically Hammer Mario can slide but you would have to pull off a trick for that plus there are unused sprites for this action that are seen when the trick is pulled off.

I was about to pass this video up but curiosity got the best of me and I just HAD to find out if Hammer Mario can destroy the Big Bertha fish.

Also Darby you should do a video about chain chomps because I bet a lot of people don't know about this, but if you stand next to a chain chomp and wait like 140 seconds or so he will eventually break loose from the chain and become a chain less chomp running wildly across the screen. Probably the most scariest enemy to encounter lol.

I actually took our Bowser with one hammer... he was landing from a jump and the hammer stayed with him the whole time, so it kept on hitting him.
