What can I CATCH at this WEIR 2021. Fishing Queensland Fresh water weir at Charter Tower, as the water gets colder I find the sooties tend to bite less. I’ve fished here for a long time now as I use to live in Charters Towers, I caught my first fish on a lure here years ago, feel free to hit me up for a fish as I’m always keen

Hey mate! Are you lure fishing? Below the wall is usually loaded with sooties, sleepy cod and archer fish. Very easy to catch during the warmer months, above the wall have Barra but seem to be very hard to get! I'm sure there's fresh water crocs above the wall never heard of any below the wall

@@junsadventures Gday mate, probably below the weir.. I’ll probably be flicking a lure while I’ve got a bait rod in aswell. I haven’t got any 3 inch grubs only 2.5 inch strike tiger curly tail grubs. Would little spinner baits work for sooty? Or hardbodies?

We heading up to the towers on the 27.12 22 going to have a fish there wots the best bait to use other than lures
