Taking your metal detector in the woods to see what you can find buried in the ground. This is New Hampshire so we have a lot of history and these woods were all old farms going back to the 1700s and 1800s. I took my Fisher F19 metal detector out for some metal detecting and dug 20 signals to see what we could find. Along the old rock walls, near the cellar hole and the old privy are good places to detect. Best find of the day was this old coin which is a 1903 Indian head penny. If you want to find old things metal detecting you need to find the old abandoned places even if they are just woods somebody has been out there before you doing things.
