How to prepare for auditions without memorizing.
"I've worked with thousands of actors at every level. Based on my experience with movie stars and aspiring beginners alike, I've developed a method of teaching that gets powerful, life changing results. This why we see a lot of overactors-- they stop being a human being and forget REAL life interactions and experiences. 👏

Yeah but I don’t consider myself interesting. If I did the me that is me now would find something wrong about the interesting me who wouldn’t get to act.

Insecurity is indeed a character, use it!

@@AI-AITUM that’s not what I meant, I’m not insecure by nature, I’m content to be my own person in other words

@kforest2745 "the me that is me now, would find something wrong about the interesting me" 🤔 Then maybe rephrase it? Because that's just the definition of insecurity which in other words means, lack of confidence to have the interesting you act. Or else you would just be interesting (you) and, act. Just sayin...really trying to understand what you mean.
@kforest2745

@@AI-AITUM it refers to ego. If you know about ego you know that ego doesn’t say oh look at me I’m interesting. It sounds stupid right.
@kforest2745

@@AI-AITUM and if someone else should say that they consider someone else interesting (rather than themselves) well then that’s a different thing but it doesn’t mean the person considered interesting should say ‘oh look at me I’m interesting’ either. It is what it is so simply leave it at that don’t try to inflate it kind of thing because that’s where it overshadows everything. There’s more important things to actually think about in other words.

Wrong, misinformation. You have to get engaged with the character you’re playing and be the CHARACTER for the auditon

What she said is also true though. I seen videos saying to be yourself because they want to see the kind of person you are. Therefore, she did do something.

This is not The Way to Connect with the material in any deep sense. This is the superficial Way to go about acting. Look up The real teachers to learn The craft of acting, look up Lee strasberg, stella adler, Frank corsaro, Utah hagen, Meisner and so on. These casting directors dont know The craft and dont Care on god. Lets say if you would like to become a football player, would you take advice from The great players of The game, or take advice from one who had never touched a Ball but had alot of opinion about The game without never ever played it themselves?.. instead attent a real acting School with teachers who Care about The craft.

So, you just assume NONE of the CDs have every dabbled or tried an acting career themselves...and you say on God they don't care?? Hmm interesting. You sound like the very thing you're describing to simply assume that CDs don't know the craft and further claim they don't care. Js a lot of them have tried that career path themselves but found it wasn't for them or somehow drifted into Casting...in other words, you don't know yourself what they know, let alone put it on God 🙄. Not to mention that ultimately the final decision doesn't involve the CDs anyway, so just from what you wrote, you are a hypocrite because you're alleging the CDs have more power than what they actually have and you don't know what they need to know, but they do have the knowledge of what to look for in what the Producers and Directors want from the actor and tbh that doesn't necessarily have to do with how great the acting is at all; that's taken care of further down the line with callbacks. But the CDs do know what is wanted because they are in close works with (Producers and Directors) with the people you don't know as an actor.
