What causes Essential Tremor? 

In this video, Dr Tabish Saifee describes how research is ongoing into the cause of Essential Tremor in individual patients.
Whilst there can be a familial link, and a possible small genetic causes have been identified in small sections of the population, research is still ongoing and has not yet identified a specific cause. Dr Saifee explains that Essential Tremor is now considered more as a syndrome, where the tremor associated with the condition is actually the end point of several processes and conditions taking place.
