I am a European American, if a Taiwanese stting next to me in subway i would believe that he/she is Chinese. I would never thought that that would be a French or a German or a Swedish or a Russian or a Brazillian or a Mexican or a Saudi! Fox and cnn are both very one sided. Something they make sense but most of the time they are extremists which is why I take every thing they say with a grain of salt.

When China reports that things are so great RN...Just know this; things are 50X worse behind the scenes and every single thing is falling apart and they say "This is fine" when it's definitely NOT fine!
The first half year China GDP growth of 2023 is 5.5%. In the past 4 years, the GDP growth of China is 19.2% , much faster than US 7.6%. Both China and US experienced diffferent kind of challenges, no need to be panic yet.
I believe the time of fast growing of China is history. The economy is changing and so is the population. However, there are plenty of options for China to control the economy. The threat posed by China is actually from China’s offering of an alternative and support to the global south (technological and economical) including African nations and former European colonies. This diminished the supremacy of USA and its allies. In the long run, China will develop at a slower pace. But in America, both parties fail to admit (they recognize but not admitting) its internal problem and has been hiding the true from American public. And that is worrisome.
@Garylincoln789 According to the law of creative destruction, countries have a way of innovating around problems. Look at shale oil. If 20 years ago you told the Saudis that the US would become the largest oil producer in the world, they would have put you in a mental hospital. That's assuming that they corner the rare earth market. Africa is an unstable place, and the US has the military muscle to take what it needs if push comes to shove. China doesn't have that kind of military reach yet.
The China's government has risky actions and interests 💔 that seems a threat to and strongly contradicts the international community 💔 investing too much to a "threat" to become so powerful will be unwise actions... 💔

Chinese economy is very sick. There's no cure. - Only regime change to something like Taiwan 🇹🇼 can help. It's a win-win solution for both China and the world.
