It is a matter of perspective of course, however one can call The Rose of Tralee the most influential and important contest on the island of Ireland. The winner, which in 2014 was Maria, has a life of unknown parallels, travelling the world and living through stories that would make the most successful people jealous.... Yet the following year, it is all over... What does one do after being The Rose.

Maria Walsh is amazing. You may already know of her as a winner of The Rose of Tralee competition in 2014. However, what you won't know is that Maria has one of the most beautiful we at TEDx Omagh have ever met.
From talking to Maria for all of 10 seconds we knew that she had to tell her story. It was an honour to have her join us.
