@@Tawleyn The thing is you could consider Yzma intentionally making Kuzco a bad ruler so she could take over without revolt. Or at the very least she made him a lazy/mostly indifferent ruler so she could 'run the kingdom behind his back'.

Which actually explains how he became the little shit he began the movie as.

@@Hawkatana not necessarily. Firing Yzma for finding out she conspired something behind his back (I don’t really remember what, doesn’t really matter) is a good reason. It’s still really is an evil action when considered with the fact she raised him for all his life. Hence, lawful evil. Twisting legitimate reasons to justify unethical deeds

@@benzur3503 Agreed. He does what he does, because he was born, raised, and literally Taught that he was the Emperor and makes all the rules and laws. And one thing we never see in this movie, is him actually breaking the law. Never, not once, not even planning on demolishing Pacha's house, is he called out my the guards about it being illegal. He follows the law, because he makes, the law, and uses those laws to not just justify his behavior, but they are literally taught into his core being. I believe for Kusco to be Chaotic and not Lawful, he would need to do things on a whim, without caring if he was the Emperor or not, and actually breaking the laws he set in place. But he doesn't do any of those. He focus solely on his political lawful powers as his reasoning for his actions. What's more, we never see him in the movie Break the laws, but we also never see him Bend the laws, create new laws to benifit or hurt someone he likes or dislikes, and never changes the laws. So he sticks to a 'Code', and never compromises it the entire movie. His code being that He is the Emperor, so by law he can't be wrong, by law, everyone loves him, and by law, he can do anything. A code ingrained into him from birth to now, and only now at the end of the movie does that code finally break.

Nah, Krunk may start as Lawful Neutral as minimum, if not Lawful Good, but he definately ends Neutral Good. Krunk is the kind of character that does what he is tasked and doesnt question it... Until he realizes that what he is doing is actually a bad thing. Think on him as a Lawful Good Paladin with REALLY low Wisdom, he does what his church ask him to, as he beleaves helping the church does help the people, but is slow to realize if his actions are actually helping the people.

I also liked Kronk's New Groove. They're fun and it makes sense that Kuzko wouldn't be perfectly selfless after the movie. I mean, even in the film, he doesn't want to admit he's changed. In the show he cares for others and admits that he can be selfish, which he would not do if they had "undone his character development from the movie".

@@tristandelasuertemexcla I'm not saying to do it now, Sparda, let the man take his time. But at least the idea now exists on the internet. Also I believe a majority of the mangas are non-canon and/or don't have a whole lot of major character flags except for probably the V one.

@@TheLoadingCrew She's gone through quite the development, going from what seems to be a standard powerful psychopath to a multi-layered character. Unfortunately, the anime doesn't do this full justice from what I heard compared to the VN. (IMO, you could do the anime for a fun short one anyway)

Remember though that Lawful doesn't mean Law-abiding, it means 'in accordance with a set of values, a code, etc.' Kuzco really just acts on a whim and doesn't follow any sort of code or values aside from narcissism and hedonism (both things that tend to be expressed by the chaotic side of the spectrum), so chaotic makes the most sense. And a great way to conceptualize this is even within the scope of this movie: Kuzco basically doesn't care at all about his empire or ruling it, beyond what it can do for him. But Yzma on the other hand cares quite a lot about the empire, and has the goal of being, in her mind at least, a "good" ruler. She believes that Kuzco's actions (rightfully so) are bad for the stability of the empire, and she wants to bring stability and order and strong rulership to the table by taking the throne for herself. She is undeniably evil, but she also believes that what she is doing is the best thing for the rulership of the empire, which is what makes her much more Lawful. Kuzco doesn't care about being a good, strong, or stable ruler, only about *being* the ruler at all, so that he can reap the benefits, which is what makes him Chaotic. Edit: Ironically, while Kuzco ends up being the best candidate to rule by the end of the movie, Yzma would probably actually be a much better ruler than Kuzco at the start of the movie, despite being definitely evil and the antagonist of the movie.
