WHAT DID GANDHI DO FOR UNTOUCHABLE - PERIYAR SPEECH 

He made some good Brahmins like Moodharingyar Rajaji to self introspect!!!! I am a 63 years old Brahmin and 2 times cardiac arrest survivor!!!! When I was young my parents passed away!!! I have personally seen too many so called Iyers and Iyengars in sadistic glee at my family' sufferings!!!! The Tamil Brahmin community will never reform. I have truly great respect for Ayya Thandhai Periyaar!!! Long live the glory of Periyaar!!!!!🎉🎉🎉🎉

​@@ArunachalaVallalPerumaan , this is true of every community. Name one community that is bereft of rotten apples. Rajaji himself was not above reproach. Nor was EVR! Do you know how many women and girls the Thadhiyaar deflowered, by leveraging his wealth and power? There are Brahmins who have rescued fellow-Brahmins facing adversity. There are Brahmins who have relished when fellow-Brahmins suffered. This is true of all communities. In the circumstances, if you hold the so-called Thandhai in high esteem, one can only sympathise with your ignorance. What I mean is EVR was one like many of us. He deserves no adoration -- much less adulation.

@@swaminathanshivakumar6454 Sir, I respect your views. But, look at it this way. Had not Periyar arrived on the scene the Brahmin decadence would have skyrocketed. At the very least he acted as a sort of "" decelerating or counterbalancing force" and made some good apples to introspect. Authority also involves heavy responsibility. There is a tremendous responsibility on a brahmin' s shoulders. Valluvar says " பார்ப்பான் பிறப்பொழுக்கம் குன்ற கெடும்!!!? meaning thereby that if a Brahmin falls from his moral code, then the entire world will suffer!!!! (Rajaji' s translation of Kural based on the commentary of Parimelazhagar). !!!! When the gujarati song Vaishnava Jana tho theney kahiye re peeda paraaye jaabe ray""' was played on All India Radio after Gandhi' s assassination, the devotees in Ramanasramam have recorded the fact that the great Jeevanmukta' s eyes welled up in tears and Bhagavan Ramana Maharshi wept!!!!

@@ArunachalaVallalPerumaan , how? When he himself did not lead by example, how could that happen? How can a man who justified deflowering one's own daughter or viewed one's own daughter as a commodity can be anybody's inspiration? It is a joke. The so-called Periyaar was like one of us. There was nothing special about him. If anything, he was worse than an average man at least on the character front. Please note that I have said this without malice.

@@swaminathanshivakumar6454 I have often wondered as to why Padmasree Kamal Hassan Sir, the chief protagonist in the Vishnu centric movie Dasavadharam has come out openly in support of Sri Udayanidhi Stalin' s severe condemnation of Sanatana Dharma eventhough the former is a scion of a respectable Srivaishnavaite (Iyengar) family from Paramakudi!!!! Why did Puratchi Thalaivi Amma temporarily ban the screening of Kamal Sir' s Vishwaroopam acceding to the requests of Tamizh Nadu Towheed Jamaad??? Even Kalaignyar attributed v endetta behind Amma' s' move???? No one but Amma would have had the guts to arrest Jayendrar as well as N Ram of The Hindu/Fronntline group of newspapers!!!! All of them were born into respectable Brahmin families!!!! There are far too many real life events that don't gel!!! When Superstar Rajni sir undertook the one day dawn to dusk fast in Chepauk/Marina over Cauvery issue Kamal Sir remarked on live TV that this token fast marks Rajni' entry into politics and congratulated him(sic!!!) 23 years down the road Superstar has stayed away from what Kamal Sir called ,""" cesspool called politics"""" Strangely enough Kamal Sir has now dived into the very same ""cesspoo""l which he was promising to avoid right from the beginnin!!! politics makes strange bedfellows!!!!!! I mean no malice to anyone. I am merely thinking aloud!!!!!
