No, it’s not. There is no possible metric by which you could say that a 59-year-old speech highlighting the problems black people face in America still being relevant halfway through 2023 is somehow a good thing. It means that we have made the same mistakes over and over and over again, and that nearly nothing has changed in regards to our political messaging. Malcolm X saw through all of the tricks and lies and realized that the political system was using propaganda and false promises to try to win over the support of the African American community. The fact that this speech actually maintained relevance, and that we are still debating this same topic some 6 decades later is depressing, and frankly, disturbing.
so true - wise man...way ahead of his time. white libs are the absolute worst and are the devils in their trickery and deceit. white libs will ONLY look out for themselves or their fellow white liberals. Us minorities are just pawns to use (for their advancement or to virtue signal).
Bull-💩. Malcom X said this in 1963 in Berkeley, CA,, only two years before Dem POTUS LBJ signed the Civil Rights Act and Voting Rights Act into law, the most significant advancement since Reconstruction following retrenchment in Jim Crow era in the early 20th century. White liberals were the ones who elected the 1st black Dem POTUS (2008) & 1st black Dem VP into the highest office in US in 2016, so if Malcolm X thought white libs were colluding with white conservatives to prevent blacks from “gaining or keeping access to power”, then his crystal ball was clearly broken back in 1963 (it’s the white conservative SCOTUS justices who gutted LBJ’s Voting Rights Act with their “Shelby vs Holder” ruling in the early 21st C. & white GOP Senators who to this day refuse to pass John Lewis Voting Rights Act so POTUS Biden can sign it into law).
@@MickeyMouse-lm6zj let’s make this real simple for you: regardless of the color or party affiliation of whoever advocates for it, is segregation wrong, yes or no?
He wasn't ahead of his time. Progressives have treated African American's as pawns going all the way back to even before the Civil War. And this has always been well known. They put in place their current form of exploitation the moment African Americans were allowed to vote.
@@MentalPistol I think there is some change regarding how people of color see the white liberal and legislators . Biden was very bold in saying you ain’t Black if you don’t vote for me , but he hasn’t thought twice about diverting much needed services and funds from the Black community to help migrants here illegally. @@thisgoddamusernamestoodamnlong that’s not what is getting diverted ! Wise up, Americans are suffering and dying because of Biden and the democratic agenda!
Conservatives and Independents know all this already. It's the liberals who won't listen to Malcolm X as he exposed them decades ago. If he were alive today saying this, they would call him a "white supremacist". Like they do with other non-liberal black Americans.
@@BenDover-pr9yu -Yes, he said both parties fight for power. But it's the white liberal that will use blacks as pawns to get power. And still do so today.
@@JK-gu3tl yeah because he thought he was an open racist who didn't pretend to be black people's friends. Not because he thought he was for black people
How else could someone actually use the term "colored white supremacist" and be totally oblivious to the utter hypocrisy on so many levels? The mental gymnastics involved in that are actually quite impressive.
@@jayman6151 they called larry elder a white supremacist for running as a republican against tyrant white Gavin Newsome but never called Gavin a white supremacist after he stole the election from a black man

Nothing has changed, America has always been divided, now with the normalization of the Internet, you can see it on a exploitative scale. You ignorant boomer.

Yep. “If you don’t vote for me then you ain’t black!” Also he said he didn’t want his kids going to school in a racial jungle. And folks were calling President Trump a racist…. Please… Joe Biden loved a KKK scumbag and considers him a mentor. Sad…

@@josephhewes3923 Absolutely & it was easier for Malcolm X to sum up both 1892 & 1922 America as they were only a matter of historical fact when he spoke but for him to have the foresight to describe an America six decades into the future.....
Is it? I think it reflects the paranoia of the time. It was justifiable then. Now, it's like saying my friend doesn't do enough for me, so I'll support my enemy. It doesn't make sense. What do you think is ideal? What do you want that would make you feel that white liberals really aren't just trying to trick you?
There have been great changes in a myriad of ways. The downfall is the breakdown of the black family and that cannot be blamed on anyone but themselves.
Except white conservatives. We want both the Dems and Republicans to leave us all alone and stop screwing us. We want all Americans to succeed regardless of color. I don't know one conservative who didn't like Larry elder or wanted him to lose.
Even more now, it's worse. In Malcolm's time there was actually real insane racism that was engraved in the entire country. Sorting friend from foe can be difficult, you cannot think that every white person is out to control us. Buy you learn to identify the signs.
I played this video to my fellow poker player who happens to be black man in liberal city of Los Angeles and he refused to accept Malcolm X’s view on liberals. It’s so sad to see so many people of color who are great people that are brain washed by the media thinking liberal politicians are the good guys and they have their backs.
Saw this speech years ago during a study of history and was shocked because not only is this so on the mark but it speaks volume. My problem is why didn't we blacks listen to him in the past?
I've liked neither party since 1970 they use tv to brainwash Americans & libs are the worst & went down hill since 911. Conservatives do nothing to stop the madness just watch it happen as they destroy America.

Truthfully, I wouldn't be surprised if some of these social media companies don't have filter where they can flag certain links. They already have the algorithms that control what's most likely to show up in your timeline, that's built into the program. All you would need to do is insert a line of code to check for this flag and most people would never see it or any other videos/content that with that specific flag
I may be Canadian, but I cannot help thinking of what Malcolm would say if he witnessed a liberal-democrat president by the name of Obama doing the deeds of a white politician.

But then the republicans aren't any better. Each to their own who they want to support. It doesn't take long for a black person to do some proper research about democrats. Blexit could be campaigning with Malcolm X, but it shouldn't be the republicans as a whole. That is my opinion anyway..
@@MMOfreakOUT1 let’s face it…..most politicians are scum. Regardless of party affiliation. When I look at politics I look at the lesser of two evils. The Dems are by far more evil.
When I was younger I learned that Malcolm X was inspired by the likes of Marx and that caused me to sort of brush him off and I didn't pay attention. A while later as an adult I happened to watch a documentary on him and it intrigued me to take a closer look of him. And although I don't agree with his views on some things, I better understood and I can respect why he felt that way. He was an incredibly intelligent man and he pretty much knew his days were numbered but he didn't back down. In him, I saw a man of character who, upon learning new info, would admit his mistake and change his mind if the thing he once believed no longer held true to his principles. For instance, when he found out some not so good things about his mentor, the leader of the Nation of Islam, he pulled away. I'm sure it was difficult for him as he really looked up to the man but he didn't just brush it under a rug or play along anyway. He stood for what he felt was truth and what was right. Even if I didn't agree with his approach, I can respect that. I think everyone should learn more about him. Definitely ahead of his time.
Mr. X was not a communist and certified not a supporter of democracy - he knew both of them were just two sides of the same coin. Mr. X was killed for the same reason and for the same people that killed George Lincoln Rockwell.
What a strange comment section, we see republicans and other right-wingers celebrate even though Malcolm X disliked them too, we see the centrist praising him for critiquing both side yet reject any possible solutions unlike Malcolm X. Malcolm X was a revolutionary which despised the system which kept black Americans down, later in his life he would recognise that this is an international struggle and that the problem is even more insidious in nature. I would propose that near his ending, Malcolm X was close to being a socialist agreeing with many of their critiques and solutions but staying vague enough and focusing on imperialism choosing his battles.
I sure do wonder what he thought about conservatives 🤔🤔🤔 if he hated liberals, I bet he knew that the conservatives are the REAL hero’s!!! (This was sarcasm in case you were wondering. Look up his “the ballot or the bullet” speech if you want to know more about his views on politics.)

@@LarryBonson yep. They are very carefully chosen like the leaders who corrupted the goals of BLM, and on a wider scale, the infiltrators of third parties who slow down their influence and distort the message
I always preferred MLK's message and style of delivery over Malcolm X. That being said, I've served on the inside of both parties, and from what I've experienced... X is not wrong about what he's saying here. I also think this party line crossover is indicative of what we are seeing in DC today. I've been saying for years that the "The Swamp" is bipartisan... it's made up of the corrupt from both parties. Based on what I just heard here... that may not be something new.
@@josephhewes3923 You are funny for agreeing with only a paragraph of someone who you clearly despise to push your agenda. The funny thing is he is saying these things as to how it relates to the systematic oppression of the black man in America which I wonder if you agree is a reality. It's almost like pulling a paragraph from Adolf H and using it to drive an agenda. It's either you believe in what he was aiming to achieve on the larger scale with this speech or just reject him at all. Malcolm spoke about police brutality and many other issues which persist today. You are telling people who love Malcolm X for what he stood for to agree with what they already would have known but to reject what he was fighting for with that same point. In fact a proper analysis of this speech is that the Democrats are just as evil as the Republicans and not being any better
@@cowlico Yeah, I wasn't around then to understand the context the part of both parties being evil... But in comparison to todays Congress in DC. I took it as crooked Democrats and Republicans working together. Not so much focusing on the race of the politician, but good vs evil, or the lesser of two evils. I've been in both parties, on the inside, elected. Now I'm not in either party... in the middle doing my own thing. As far as Modern day left vs right goes, politically , I think conservatives are significant less evil racially that the video implies, which was made 50 yrs ago... and that may have been the way it was then. There are still corrupt Republicans though, and they would sell anyone out for a dollar, if color helped in some way that would just be a bonus. Same with Democrats. I commented earlier about religion, race, gender, political parties... they divide us anyway they can and pit us against each other, so we don't fight them. That's their power.
