how can i take you seriously when you think that the studio made Ninja Gaiden ?

Ninja Theory and Team Ninja are both trash and that's why I got confused. Unless you think Wo-Long is a good game?

I honestly couldn't tell the difference. I know the first game used Unreal Engine 4 and Hellblade 2 used Unreal Engine 5. It just gets to a point where visuals shouldn't be the selling point for games. Hellblade 2. I feel like that time ended after the last console generation.

@@SmokinSessions If you say so. Personally, I didn't have super high expectations for the game. I expected essentially the first game but refined and with a continuation of the story.

That's fair that's probably how I should of approached the game. Being real with you if people are enjoying the game like yourself that's dope. We all have those niche games that we enjoy. A lot of mines seems to be published by Digital Revolver 😂.

Came here to say this! Definitely not even close to the same company. Ninja Theory (Enslaved, Heavenly Sword, DMC) and Team Ninja (Ninja Gaiden, DOA, Other M)...🤦‍♂️

Team Ninja and Ninja Theory are indeed different companies. I spaced when making this video and for some reason mixed the two companies together. However, at this point they both make terrible games. The last thing Team Ninja made was Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty which belongs in a bargain bin for 99 cents for how bad it was. Ninja Theory spent 7-8 years on a game that was a 5 hour interactive movie. Neither company is hitting right now. They both should and probably will be shutdown. Team Ninja was never the same company after Tomonobu Itagaki left and a good amount of Team Ninja employees followed him.

The last thing Team ninja made was actually rise of the ronin 2 months ago and it was fuckin amazing. Nioh 1 and 2 were great too. Wo long sucked though but it was done by the b-team while the main team worked on rise of the ronin for like 5 years

Jason is the commentator here, I'm the co host of the channel Rocky. But basically my primary issue is the seeming lack of new features related to gameplay. It appears the gameplay is pretty much the same. Shouldnt the idea be to expand upon your first game to provide better and more engaging gameplay, rather than just continuing the story? And let me be clear, I only say this do to the length of time the game was being worked on. If this game came out two years after release of the first I'd get it but it took how many years?! For an expansion?!

@SmokinSessions although it is a sequel, I wouldn't really consider it an expansion. I believe the game was delayed quite a bit for at least two reasons. 1: they had to wait for the release of unreal engine 5 to use it. 2: covid. 3: the visuals and animations probably took up a majority of that time. I think the game felt pretty different from the first game, in a positive way, for many reasons. Reason 1 The fighting felt way batter. For me it felt like the hits were harder and more impactful, her sword caughts in the enemies weapons on perfect blocks, fights are interrupted by ambient chaos around her, her focus mode feels a lot cooler, there more ranged options, the shattered enemies were really neat all around, I could go on. Reason 2 There were many minor details that showed up that was a very nice touch. When locating symbols the floating elements fall to the ground. Zymbels voice at the beginning turns the screen red when he speaks. Certain followers have resting locations when you separate to look for secrets, Senuas body language changes way more for being weaker and needing to sprint, Even photo mode got a huge upgrade. Reason 3 The visuals are fantastic. I'm not going to get into this one because I have a good feeling you agree. I would like to go on, but at this point it just feels like I'm explaining the game to someone who hasn't played it. If you played it and didn't like it, I'm sorry because personally I loved the game and it's just a different experience than what other games can offer.

If you enjoyed the game there is nothing wrong with that. We all have our own tastes and interests. I was hoping for something with Hellblade 2 that I should of not expected which was more of an action adventure. I really love the fact you went into detail on what you enjoyed. While Hellblade 2 wasn't for me it sounds like you really loved it and that's cool. Thank you for your comment and explanation we love to see people who are passionate about games that have differing opinions than our own.

@@kadenwegner2691 LOL "game". This is a tech demo with a worst story, worst/dumber combat mechanics and even worst puzzles. Seven years for a letdown. Ninja Theory deserve the L.

Waitwaitwaitwait can you please show me how the studio that worked on it for eight years ISNT the one at fault? If the devs said something about not making the game they wanted, or being stifled by Xbox, then you can say don't be mad at the studio. But as far as I've seen this was the game they intended to make, and it sucks. So definitely unless you have some other proof, it's on Ninja Theory

Try doom that's a great satanic game

Cyberpunk 2077 is definitely one of the best games I've ever played. I do have to disagree with you on calling Hellblade 1 and 2 games. They are more like walking simulators through an interactive movie set 😂.

I'm looking forward to hopefully seeing a new Doom announced this June at one of the showcases.

If you enjoy 5 hour interactive movies good for you. I just prefer my games to require actual skill unlike yourself.
