I’ve been a Christian all my life. Learning about Greek mythology in school has me wondering if the Bible was made up. what are the chances that they followed gods and goddesses and in the Bible we follow a God. What are the chances both religions would have a God in it? The only way I could see is if mythology was copied from the Bible and got a god from it..Might sound a little confusing but that’s the best I can explain it.. please help
Bible is not a made up .. ofcourse it's compiled by human but the wisdom was purely from God. In the past before there were no writing system but God has revealed and spoken to His children and it was past on from generation to generation and it was written in papyrus, scroll and later on it was compiled in one book. Bible is the only book which contains many literature and it was written by more than 40 authors from 6 continents people from different background but doesn't contradict to each other. And the Bible is very relevant in today's context through which many life were transformed ,saved and many were healed and delivered and it was a guide map for all roads of life .
_Lean on God._ I know that's easy to say, and in my own experience it is SO hard to do. But truly, He gave this world the Virus, and His timing was perfect. We may not see it that way. But reading the old testament recently about the plagues and famines and difficulties Jehovah brought on the land, it has made me realise how good God has been to mankind in these last few covid-free years. We have had such freedom but now I think God is telling us to be faithful servants, to stick by Him and depend upon Him, while the whole world is in utter chaos. Let's be lighthouses in the dark. If the world see that you still have a solid peace in your heart and joy even in these dark days, they will question why you are so at peace, and seek that treasure also! I hope you're keeping well and I pray for your situation. Just try to remember that the Lord Jesus understands what you are going through. He knows our pain: talk to Him about that, and draw strength from Him who has gone before us! Also remember we are on a journey, and our destination is our heavenly home above. There we will dwell with God and rest for eternity! No darkness there. No sorrow or tears. We're not here on earth to be comfortable. We are just passing through, like the children of Israel through the wilderness. Whatever you're going through right now, let God be your guide, your Rock, your sole source of satisfaction and joy until this toil is all over and we are with Jesus!! 💗 And know that you are so loved by Him xxx

Hi... I've experienced the same thing, but I feel different now. Sometimes we focus so much on the right church and perfect surroundings that we lose focus on Jesus Christ. You can go to any church after praying to God about it and maybe just maybe God wants you to make the difference in the church instead of the church on you. We ought not to undestimate God's ability to lead us to a place where He wants to use you to make a difference. Search Him in your church and you will find Him and maybe you are the one people in that church are waiting for to see what God's will look like and how a relationship with Jesus Christ look like. Focus first on having an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ and the rest will follow.

I'm 2 years too late but I hope in that time you have been _encouraged!_ I've also been through a long, dark season of difficulty and drifted away from the Lord, but those valleys always make His presence that much sweeter! There is no joy to be found anywhere like the joy you will find in His presence 💗
I do agree with what you are saying, but when you are in a community of people who care nothing about your relationship with God but with religion (their religion being the only one correct), it is okay to be alone. I have had a prophet's opinion (and not the Bible) shoved down my throat so many times that I want nothing to do with her. I have been in a community with "Christian" people and have been torn down MUCH MORE than encouraged. I have opened myself to people who I thought were brothers and sisters in Christ and have had more stones thrown at me and belittled than lifted up. Also, instead of iron sharpening iron, "Christians" here just gossip about other people's shortcomings and make spirituality a contest to see who is more spiritual than the person beside them. Furthermore, when trying to encourage people and point them to Jesus, they either ignore me or just stand up to me with what they heard in religion. I understand what you are saying, BUT I guess I need to find someone who is SERIOUS about his/her walk with Christ (which is a RARE FIND) and who cares enough that we both can sharpen each other up. Until I find someone serious about their walk with Jesus Christ, I WILL NOT CONTINUE TO HANG AROUND PEOPLE WHOSE TOXIC ATTITUDES ARE DOING NOTHING TO HELP MY WALK WITH CHRIST.
I have so many questions about God word but there are little or no opportunities to discuss them. I have found Sunday classes (which are basically topical studies) are often off the lessons and turn into testimony sessions. Sermons follow the same theme. We hug, greet, eat. As a people we have the highest abortion in the country. 90% of the crimes committed are committed by those in community. Can we not talk about who made the cake but God’s sovereignty in salvation?
What do you do when you have been pushed out of doing what God has called you to do? I am a 72 year old woman who realized years ago that God had given me the gift of song. I began to sing and was very close to God. Now I am not a trained,educated singer. Now the church has pushed me aside for other singers who are trained and sing better. I am frustrated and feel like God has shut me out as well. It's like my prayers go no further than the top of my head, and I see these people who seem to feel the spirit and show it and all I feel is a coldness. I am totally heartbroken because I can't feel God's presence in my life; there is no joy anymore. Please can you help me?
Wow. Just amazing. I feel like this video was made specifically for me. I've been struggling with "why does spending time with people make me feel better than reading my Bible" and God revealed in this that He is pouring out his love to me through the people in my life. Always spot check people that ramble like this. Don’t take what they say as authoritative just because they are blurring out verses. Particularly in this instance when it comes to loneliness. It’s ok to be alone, just not all the time.

@Alice Attaa run from the Seventh Day Adventist church . The heresies abound and it is a works based religion. There’s a ministry online called www.lifeassuranceministries.org and a monthly magazine called ‘Proclamation’ that you can read on that website for free. It was founded by people who were trapped in Adventism who found freedom in Christ and not their own works. God never works against you. Sometimes the circumstances we face can make it seem as though God is not for us. But He is, always. He uses trials for our good. Diamonds are made under pressure. In dark valleys, the light on the mountaintop is most attractive. Remember that Jesus died for you, and it was God's own giving of His only Son that allowed that precious sacrifice to be made on your account, and mine 🙏So that we could be free.
