@@twistedyogert just takes money and time. Most likely, a later model 310 has IO-470s, and some one took the time to prove that it would be OK for earlier models. There isn't any physical difference, just a different fuel system. Copy what Cessna did in later models to your earlier model

When you get a flight instructor... Get someone highly qualified. Mine ran my 310B off the taxiway and broke the nosewheel.. Bent a prop wrinkled the nose.

Stratospheric aerosol injection is a thing and it works. But it doesn't generate rain out of nowhere. There has to be clouds and they have to be in a certain altitude. You seed those with an amount of silver iodide to make the waterdroplets bond to it and get heavier, so the upstream can't hold 'em and they're falling to the ground.

@@marcus_w0 there has to be moisture in the air for it to work.. cloud seeding is just that, you need a starter cloud to seed with silver salts and the cloud will attract moisture and grow.. if it falls at a high enough elevation the snowflakes will look like they have tiny lead pellets in the center.. i know they’ve also worked on making the clouds then seeding said clouds.. that’s what you see as chem trails, it’s water being sprayed and another plane will follow moments later spraying silver salts trying to seed those man made clouds.. doesn’t work if the air is dry it just dissipates

Compression test really isn't going to do much good until that engine gets "re-broken-in." Might help with adherence with AC 41.131B, which is kinda contrary to TCM M84-15.

According to Mike Bush (memento) boroskoping the cylinders and valves is the way of checking engine health - compression testing often is wrong and very variable even on hot engines and says almost nothing about the actual power output ! Fetch somebody who is proficient and let him boroskope the engines - then you'll know! As far as I know Mike flies a later model 310 - give him a call - he might be helpful @ #SaveThe310

Piston engine aircraft are practically stuck in time. Decades behind modern technology. Everything is so small volume and specialized that it costs ten times what it should. Even the fuel is specialized and antiquated so more expensive than automotive fuel.
