I post pics of my food because it looks more attractive than me

i try to be a food-photo taker but i always end up eating it before i take the photo. i forget every single time

What is 'SHARE'?

I've actually got an album on my phone called 'foodie stuff' and I occasionally look at it when I'm sad and it comforts me in the idea that the world can't be that awful if all this good food exists.

I only post food photos when I cook it myself. It's my way of saying to the world, "Look everybody! I'm a man that can actually cook actual edible food! LOVE ME DAMN IT"

My man and I just went through each other's pictures on our phones. People pics were more prominent, but for each meal photo he had a story about it. I was thoroughly impressed.

I'm a food blogger so food photos are my life. Sometimes my food photos have more meaning than regular photos because I'm trying to cover history, culture, destinations, colors, and much more. Normal photos (pictures with friends or family) don't get posted because I feel that nobody cares. I posted a picture of my friends one time and I got fewer likes than my food photos.

I think it is the act of taking the photo and appreciating all the artistry that went in to creating the meal for your pleasure that make a difference. It doesn't matter what happens afterwards, for that moment the time was taken to get the most out of somebody else's efforts. It doesn't bother me when people a take photo of their meal unless they take more than one. Also a trick with photos and paintings is to always put people in them. The subject is always more interesting with human context. Therefore the challenge is to find the best light for your food and having your friend perfectly aligned in the background.

My Computer is filled with High Definition pictures of Potatoes and videos of porn, I have so many, I even have a 100TB external hard drives/NAS

I don't personally take many food photos, but I actually do enjoy looking at other peoples' photos of food because I'm always uninspired in the kitchen and it gives me ideas of things to make for myself :)

I like food photos! I have tried new foods, brands & restaurants all because someone posted about them. I really appreciate the options especially because I'm vegetarian.

One of my best friends is a foodie. We actually do take photos of food and share them with each other, and describe the meal and the presentation! Also right after I got married and I started really cooking regularly. I felt so accomplished and proud, so I took photos and would send them to my mom.

My girlfriend is from Australia and I'm from the U.S. Before meeting her I never took pictures at all, food photos or otherwise. But now that I have met her, I take photos regularly to share what my life is like with her. That does mean taking pictures of my food to show her, but those photos all have purpose and are directed specifically at her.

As a lifestyle blogger, and maybe leaning towards food blogging, I take mainly food and landscape pictures. On my blog and everyday life have no people pictures anywhere - other than on my laptop and photo albums on my table. On my phone I only have pictures for inspiration, and things for instagram. You can pretty much say I have no people pictures. When I go out, alone or not the focus is often on dessert, not relationships. It's different at home with my beau though, that's the only time I don't take pictures and it's about us rather than the food. :)

I only take pictures of my food when I cook or when a member of my family makes me food out of the blue when I eat at restaurants I just devour that food

Well you say you don't share your food photos with your friends, but that's exactly what I'll do! I ask all my friends to come over and I put on a whole presentation, man. Food is freaking beautiful!

I used to upload them to a Line international group to show what food I ussually eat. I have a whole album complete with my favorite foods and snacks. It actually beings back quite a few good memorys.

Not gonna lie-- I took a photo of a lobster roll I ate in Brooklyn about four years ago with one bite taken out of it. Of course I deemed it already earned the title of "Best Lobster Roll Of My Life" and snapped the picture. Haven't deleted it since... still look back and keep it in my camera roll to reminisce while so many "milestone memory" photos get blindly transferred to my computer and deleted off of my phone. Hm...

I like to take photos when I cook something new, but it's more for me to remember how good it was. I try new recipes all the time, so it's hard to recall if it was really good or just okay. I usually remember the ones that are terrible though, haha!

I like to take photos of my food. It's a good way to remember where all my money went at the end of the month..

Here's why I think people take food photos: It's hard to take a good photo of something far away, but it's easy to frame a close up object. Also, food is pretty satisfying, but it's also one of the most fleeting things in life. I think it's OK to take a photo if you went to a foreign country and had a traditional meal from that country for the first time, or you cooked a dish for the first time. But yeah, while it can be fun to take photos of everyday food, it's just practice mode for taking good pictures.

Yes when I look at my food photos, if I really enjoyed it, I could easily remember who i was with. The person hovering above their dish in the photo also helps haha. Food is Life. And you know it Nat

I take pictures of food regularly, mostly because I like the presentation (other times because I want to show off on social media that I'm eating something awesome muahaha). I do look at the pics afterwards to appreciate the artistry all over again and to remind myself of all the delicious stuff I've eaten! :9

WHAT DOES THE TITLE MEAN

I stopped taking photos of food when my chef buddy started taking photos of the fancy food he'd make at his restaurant...I don't really take too many photos of people...not for a few months. And yes, I sometimes do look back on the old food photos!

I recently had some photos from my phone printed and I included a picture of a really well presented smoked salmon plate because it was one of my favorite things to eat on my trip. I get to remember what it tasted like every time I see it in the collage on the wall.

my entire instagram is basically food photos. so... i DO actually show them to people if i'm like "omg the food at this restaurant was really good, i highly recommend it - let me show you"... though i post them on instagram and delete them from my phone, so they don't take up any space on my phone. as dorky as this is, i comment on the photos a mini 'review' of the food, ambience and service (because i'm a foodie, i go to lots of different cafes, restaurants etc) so i remember what i ate, whether it was good or not, etc etc. it helps when i'm planning to meet someone for example and i want to recommend a place for us to eat. :)

I always take pics of my food when they're put nicely (usually at restaurants)! I usually always take pictures of nice-looking things so that when I scroll my phone gallery, I'll be happy :)

I can understand taking a pic of the cute Mother’s Day breakfast that your 6 year old made. Or being in a foreign country and taking a pic of the crazy dish you’re about to eat. But I don’t get people who take a pic of what they eat everyday. Especially when it’s just pancakes and toast. We all know what that looks like, we don’t need to see a pic of it. Also annoying is when people take a pic of them holding up their fork biting into the waffles, holding up a breadstick, or holding up a can of soda. What are you trying to become a food and beverage model?

The only food photo I distinctly remember taking is one during exam season, where I snuck out of school when my mum was running late to go to this cafe down the road. Used my last bit of pocket money on that slice of gingerbread cake and had a really fun time with friends too

I know basic food photography and food styling as well as photoshop so whenever I take a food photo, I always try to arrange the dishes and propers in the best way. It makes my friends who go with me annoyed. And I always choose one or 2 pics from a dozen of taken photos and only update them on facebook after being photoshopped carefully

I only have food photos on my instagram. Majority of the time they are my own food creations as opposed to restaurant food. I like having a memory and token of the effort I put into something sometimes. Also, as a part of the vegan/plant-based community I like to give inspiration to likeminded others.

I take pictures of food when I wanna remember the moment. Like, first ice cream in summer, first fish and chips in Prague, some unusual dish that I want to have a memory of. And I always remember what was happening when I took the picture. I rarely post pics of food on the Internet, though.
