Hi. the content is great but you talk too fast. My English is very good but I struggle to follow. even transcription does not come up correctly. Please speak slowly and more clear so more people can benefit. thanks.
Thank you so much on sharing your detailed experience to the public! much help and true insight that wouldn't have been delivered without the advanced technology and most importantly your effort and will. thanks again and please keep on making good vids!
Hi Steph! Would you have any insight on other parts of the Private Equity business? I’ve been working as an analyst at a wholesale bank. I work in operations supporting and leading process improvement and technology solution projects for a couple years. I’m also working on an MS in Data Analytics that covers a combination of applied statistics and programming. Do you think there is room for someone with my experience to join a private equity firm? I’ve always been very interested in financial services, but getting in a buy desk analyst role is so competitive, and unfortunately I did not do my BA in Finance. It seems like a lot banks really want to see a BA or MBA with a finance focus, or a few years experience in a buy desk or sales and trading desk analyst job. Any advice for me? Thank you for reading. I appreciate your time and the great video!
Thanks for your question! Ultimately I think everything is about transferable skills so as long as you can show you've got the required skills through your experience you should generally be fine but if you're super converned I would check with the recruitment teams of firms you're interested in applying to
