As a Singaporean who always been sent back to Malaysia every long school holidays (Kangar, Ampang, Selayang, Tg. Malim, Alor Setar), and now having a Malaysian husband, I would say both country has its pros and cons. Both country has their fair share of complain kings & queens. Both country got groups of people who are waiting for food to be served directly on their plate by their government. Both country also have hardworking citizens. Both country also got their chill and work smart people. But it all depends on where you work, where you stay and who you mingle with. If you mingle with complain kings and queens, everyday can be a torture. But if you mingle friendly people, your life will be great. As a Singaporean, if you go Malaysia, please be humble and discreet. No need tell whole wide world you Singaporean. Last warning to those who likes to flaunt their wealth in Malaysia. When you get robbed, it is not because Malaysians filled with bad people ah. To Malaysians coming into Singapore, yes. Currency now is not great, but there are still places in Singapore you can enjoy for free just don't compare with what you have in Malaysia. It is a different country, just embrace the culture. Not all Singaporeans are unfriendly. When you start talking, you will realize some are super duper friendly and not shy to share anything with you.

I'm Malaysian, and I really feel SGeans are so friendly especially when it comes to street interviews like this. usually it would be hard to get people to come speak on camera (shy etc) but SGeans were just super open! @@lamedada

Having lots of Singaporean friends, I would say that I notice that Singaporeans complain more and a bit kiasu? it feels like they are constantly under pressure in a way. Both are hardworking when they have to do their stuff obviously. Living in Malaysia, I would say yes, we smile a lot more compared to Singaporeans. I mean they are very different people in each country so it's hard to judge but maybe I'm just unlucky cause when I was in Singapore for a few times, I'm treated more coldly in a way like they would ignore, talk back to me like a rude manner or not smile back (I guess it's like a get it over with asap so they just do what they gotta do). Just my opinion, I feel like us Malaysians are more laid-back and more forgiving. Nonetheless, I like both countries cause like hey there's good and bad people everywhere right haha.
