Don't just fall back, BE DONE. Anyone who would treat a person this way is completely unworthy of any time, energy, or emotion. Be hurt, yes, that is normal and understandable--but then take time to process, heal, and be ready for the right person. Leave game players and narcissists like this alone. Love yourself enough. I'm sure these types of people gave hints that they were people who would disappear or ghost, or that they just were not the one. Heed your intuition from now on and save yourself the headache or heartbreak. Be like Maya Angelou and "When someone shows you who they are, believe them the first time."

I think I'm becoming desensitized. I felt unfazed when it has happened. I have the mindset that I don't want anyone around that doesn't want to be. I only want someone who wants to be with me. I'm not holding any hostages. I know my worth and if I'm not what they want then they're doing us both a favor. Thanks Chazz!

Rissa Jenelle shit yeah I've been there. He made a fool out of me for 9 years. I guess I made a fool out of me too. Every time we argued, he would leave. I would reach out, sometimes follow him and try to talk to him. I cared, and that's Noble, but I cared the wrong amount for the wrong person. won't be doing that again. next time I assumed if they leave they want to be going. And they can stay gone.

Im 24 and im so fed up with ghosting from people. Im tired of people coming in and out of my life. People acting like their my friends yet they never call me or text me too see how im doing. Like I dont exist. And here I am. A single female with no guy or friends because I cant seem to find people that I truly connect with nor wanna be part of my life. Im so fed up to the point that I like being alone. Hanging out with people takes alot out of me now. I dont see the point anymore. Im not going to waste my time with people that dont wanna genuinely be part of my life. When someone wants out, I hold the door wide open.

I thought this guy was ghosting but he still throws texts here and there, just not as often. I'm actually bored of him now, I think he can sense it because I don't chase and go crazy when he disappears. I'll be blocking him soon to keep from going off on him out of pure irritation. I don't know what's worse, the breadcrumbs or disappearing.

Christina Brooks That emotional obsession ain't no joke. I was in one but didn't realize it until I moved back to town where my ex was. Ugh. Took 3 years to get through it after being around him again. The obsession is finally over thank God. It was awful!

Es Gee I have to be around mine at church every Sunday but it's ok now. We're able to behave civilized lol. He's even called to check on me a few times since my surgery last month. I no longer feel the pull he had on me thanks to God I say.

The only thing I can say is don’t block them or delete them. Especially if it was just a fling. Play it off cool even if it hurts and it will eventually die out. It sucks being ghosted but it happens. That’s life. And you’ve probably done it too so don’t play nice.

Spot on Chazz! Thanks! I fell back on someone. Though I never was one to go with the negative comments and such. Our last texts were pleasant enough but our friendship was a bit strained. He was stressed from work he said and I was stressed because I was about to have major surgery. We were clashing a bit. I felt him falling back so it felt right to do the same.

I actually went through this 5mths ago, dealing with the disappearing, then appear a month later. But every time he did that from time to time he would make small conversation with me. Knowingly I wanted to know why, and 50m other questions, he leaves the conversation open and disappear again. Why Chaz?? Why is he in and out, make small talk then disappear? smh

Regina Craig I’m going through the exact same thing. This person was like they don’t know how to cook so I offered that I show him how to make something. When he didn’t say anything, I asked him does he want me around anymore. He said he was busy the past few days with family which I understand but communicate with me. Then he said he wouldn’t be able to over the holidays because he’d be out of town so then I asked would you want to later on. The last thing he said was he don’t want to learn to cook the dish but he liked what I picked out. Like wth. Is he likely to reach out again? He hasn’t responded going on 2 days and I’m pissed off tbh.

Aariyan096...After I showed him the best of me, and I felt I wasn't being appreciated/reciprocated, I fell-back. He acted as if he wanted space, so I let him have it. In the meantime, I made myself less available (didn't stop contact totally -- just became less available). I just got busy with the other aspects of my life (which turned out to be great). He didn't like the fact that I was less available, and he took time out of his "busy schedule" to let me know it (he even showed a little emotion which I think pissed him off a little). It's crazy... he doesn't want to be caught, but he's upset when I don't chase. Don't know what's gonna happen because I am not in chase mode. I believe I've put in enough work.

Christy Bloo Been there too. Met someone that came at me correct and said I'd like to take you out. I gave him my number and every day that week he asked me if he could come over. It was late and I said No every time. The next time I flipped it on him and said I'll come over your house for dinner. Well I never heard from him again. I looked him up on FB and a month before we met he has posted his children and bm. I think he is still in a relationship and maybe even living together. I never contacted him either. Never cursed him out, never whined or complained. I let it go because I believe I dodged a bullet. Rejection breeds obsession/ego so I understand wondering if you did/said something wrong but trust me just accept it. Mans rejection is Gods protection.

it is sooooo funny that this is the topic. This JUST happened to me. and I disagree with your advice on this one. First of all, I would never show up in a public place on some bedroom drama. 👎 Now, If he don't contact me the day after the sex, l will assume that something could have happened and he can't. BUT🍑 After two and three days of me texting and calling, I get the picture . I even called from a friend pH and got no answer. The problem is some people will sex anything and move around like it ain't nothing, but most women don't play with their bodies like that. this is also the cause of fatherless homes

This is what I don’t get. that was me so to correct that I told him that I was tripping but I no that he's full of shit so I acted pleasent an it was hard to do but apologize for my emotional Outburst I needed to just get out of the house and I was venting and what I'm really thinking is that I'm not going to give him the time of day but I don't want him to have the satisfaction of thinking that that game will continue with me I've taken my heart out of it and deal with him on his level or lack thereof if he get ghost for the weekend i truely don't give a f weekend I no longer care if he doesn't respond to a text I don't longer care if he makes excuses because he live in a the next state a convenient lie because theres someone else who do care and and I will occupy my time be pleasant as I want to be no more being on a roller coaster and giving the shit
