Geep: A rare, hybrid animal that is part goat and part sheep has been born on a farm in the Republic of Ireland. The animal was born about two weeks ago on Paddy Murphy's farm in County Kildare. The unexpected arrival is thought to be the result of mating between a goat and one of the sheep farmer's Cheviot ewes. Mr Murphy has described the accidental birth as a "shock to the system". He spoke to news correspondent Patrick Donohoe, from the Irish Farmers Journal.

I would absolutely keep the Chimera! It's very rare so why kill it or sell it?! Beautiful animal!

I was a shepherd for years in the High Atlas Mountains we used to have a herd goats and sheep mixedv .Some of the goat bucks once they are 4 months old they tart mating with ewes when they are in heat if rams are very busy with many ewes in heat at the same time

I just googled it and this isn’t a hybrid it’s a soey sheep mix. They are mistaken thinking it’s a hybrid 😬

My male sheep was trying to make babies with our female goat this morning! Was looking it up to see if it was possible...guess so! I may have a baby geep on the way!!!
