i wonder why the real powerful man niver became famouse he is greater than any psychopaths who every day barcking just to keep us drugged with wrong information this guy lights ouer paths in this very dark age in human history
Dr Berg, I am Marrocain, I follow your video even my English isn't that good but I love the way you explain. I am.following the keto diet, I lost 5 kilos and I am feeling more healthy. In the Arab world, you are making a big health revolution...God bless you
God Bless you - you sound like you are understanding a LOT. I am glad information is getting to your country and your people. We are all brothers and sisters and should share good news. I hope you continue on your health journey! (It is nice - in his notes he usually puts notes you can also copy to read in your own time - or even translate in google translate or some other translator).
Wow you know your stuff. Thanks to you, I lost 30 pounds in 2 months and I no longer feel like I have a disease. It was what I was eating and not eating.
I've had years of pregnancy vitamins and my nails never improved. At least someone is addressing the issue. My doctors have all ignored my nail issues as insignificant. It's a constant struggle.
Same here. I started having problems with my nails when I was 40 and my family doctor always said, ‘getting older’. I’m 53 and still haven’t found the answer to my vertical lines.
This video came right on time! I have vertical lines and just ruled out that it's not an iron deficiency. My hematologist told me to get my hormones, thyroid and vitamin B checked. Dr. Berg is the truth for real! One day I'm just gonna sit down with a notebook and watch all of his videos.
Now I know ì need to buy b12. I eat red meat so I'm wondering perhaps not eating enough prodiana for iron and just ordered magnesium gylcinate, threorate& taurate for lousey migraines.
Most doctors that I know take it in the lot with their eyes as I walk into the room sit down etc. They just don't always comment on what they see until they find something more relevant to connect the dots
Amy Hyruhm...I was thinking the same. Twice yearly and my doc never looks at my fingernails. Guess it's time for some regular doses of shrimp and salmon!!!
@@trkrla5113 Thanks for your reply! It seems doctors are only trained by and salesmen for Big Ph! Before evenbeing sent for tests recently, I was given a prescription for a whole year!!!
This used to be my doctor when he practice here in Va. he has a very good bedside manner, and taught me a lot about food and how they work to help my body operate at its best. I give his tips to everybody that want to be healthy. He forever charged my life!!!
I can see it- have you listened to the "bought and owned" doctors? they do NOT advocate anything truly healthy - they all push for drugs and pharmaceuticals. I am sure they don't want this GOOD info getting out!! 😉
Eating more red meat, spending time in the sun and fasting has helped me tremendously to the point that the nail technician refused to put acrylics on and would only polish them, she said she wished she had strong, healthy nails like mine!! 🌞💋💋
Well way over here it will be 90 feeling like 100 so I'm heading to the pool, as ì try to get rid of this headache. I hope you all have a wonderful day and Dr. Berg keep up the great research work you provide us your such a blessing to ha all!
I had crummy nails for YEARS. I tried taking biotin, but it never helped. I was at my wit's end....then I happened upon a YT video that claimed soaking your nails every day in olive oil would work wonders. Yeah, right! And who has time to soak for 15-30 min every day? So I compromised and oiled my nails every time I got near oil. Olive oil while making dinner, Avocado oil while removing makeup, Coconut oil while making bullet proof coffee, Almond oil when I moisturized my hands at bedtime, etc. Wow, it didn't take long before my nails stopped tearing and splitting. My thumbnails are still a work in progress, but overall, I am thrilled. 👐🏻
@@ellehub2136 I'm not sure which time frame you're referring to. The length of time my nails were a mess?....decades The length of time the video said to soak in oil?... 15 to 30 min The length of time before my nails began to show improvement?....a week or less. This probably won't solve the problem for everyone, because our nail problems don't all have the same cause. In my case, I wash my hands a lot and I think they were dried out from that, so the oil protects from the drying effects of washing.
I'm jealous of your whiteboard thingy. It's not a whiteboard per se but looks fun. Nails. Every nail has vertical ridges. I'm taking biotin, silica and iron.
Things I've so often wondered about. Thanks for not using music in your videos. Also, please don't block the view of some of the graphics you have created while you are speaking. It helps to view them while taking in what you are saying.
Thank you very much for this video, I was looking for years for the answer about the ridges thing , asked doctors but they always gave the same answer( nothing to worry about) and suddenly got the answer in your channel...Thanks 🙏 a lot .
OMG I'M BLOWN AWAY BY THE INFO ON HERE!! IT CAME AT THE BEST TIME! I'D BEEN SEARCHING FOR ANSWERS 2 WHY THERE'S A LINE IN THE MIDDLE OF MY THUMB, THIN dark line, I'VE ALWAYS BEEN low on iron, enemic. THANK u
THANK YOU DR BERG, I KNEW SOME OF NAIL PROBLEMS, BUT YOU HELPED ME IN KNOWING MUCH MORE. THANK YOU FOR CARING SO MUCH TO HELP US, BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY. 👨👩👧👧💜
Another fantastic video! So helpful. Thank you so much Dr. Berg for all your hard work and the care you put into helping people understand their health and live healthier, and for the always succinct and easy to understand format. These videos address so many concerns that people have but can't necessarily find guidance on in current medical systems.
Oh! you are such an amazing person. Your love , care n concern for peoples' wellbeing is amazing. Weldone. keep up the good work. God bless u n ur family real good IJMNA. Regards
Thanks for the video, Dr. Berg! I appreciate all you do for us. I'm hypothyroid and have a deep horizontal ridge in the center of my two big toenails. I don't take iron supplements, but do eat beef liver once a week. Apparently, that's not enough. I'll add some lactoferrin, then iron if no change. Worst of all, my fingernails separate from the nail beds when my nails suddenly become paper-thin, even though I take NDT. They thin after a sweat busting activity (Not from the gym or exercise, just living, walking across a parking lot, walking upstairs, etc.) and after I take Magnesium (any brand or type of supplement including Pellegrino). When my nails separate from the nail beds, my fingers tips turn red and sore. They're so sore, I can't use my hands. The pain lasts for a couple of days, but the nail takes weeks, sometimes months or even years to connect to the bed. Have you ever heard or seen anything like this?
You should also include; when nails are hyper curved, or "humped" - that usually indicates a respiratory issue, specifically in the lungs. This health indicator will always begin with the toes and move into the hands as the respiratory system deteriorates further.
Dr Berg are you watching me... when I put nail varnish on I can feel a sting on certain nails. I lost my nails when I had chemo there back and strong but could look healthier. Thanks for this more B12 for me.
Thanks Dr. When I went to dermatologist to show my fingers all effected by vertical ridges, he just told me it sometimes happens and nothing to worry about. Now I know. I am anemic person. I can’t take iron tablets without getting constipation. So that is the reason!
I was diagnosed a serious iron deficiency which was not noticed but have influenced my life quality a lot. My nails are exactly what Dr. Berg said. I'm taking medical iron supplements and now feeling better. Hope my new nails will show me that. Thanks!
Thanks again Dr Berg, I have gut issues, nail ridges, my nails just won't grow, toe nail fungus (I'm embarrassed to say, especially bcz I'm type A personality with OCD) and I'm always soooooooo tired, sometimes I sleep 12 to 14 hours (insanity) and still tired! I've been watching and taking notes. I am taking ACV (mothers) everyday, my potion is as follows: Green tea Ginger root water 1 teaspoon of coconut oil Fresh lemon Honey 3 tablespoons of ACV I have a cup a day, going on 2 months now. I don't really see or feel any changes. If anybody can help, I thank you in advance. I always see great suggestions in the comments, I thank you as well
What you need is an overall Balanced diet. You should try green smoothies for vitamins , and eating healthy meats for minerals for example Oysters and Liver are the most nutrients dense meats on the planet. Smoothies are packed packed with fiber and plenty of vitamins which will feed your Micro biome which is essential to energy levels and mental health. My smoothies consist of 1 bunch Kale - 13 essential amino acids 1 bunch beet roots - B Vitamins 1 bunch Celery 1 WHOLE LEMON including peel 1 ginger root Organic Oj from Sprouts with 1 billion Pro-biotics included 1 Garlic clover (if I can handle the taste that day lol) Sometimes Parsley, chards , spinach And lastly 1 table spoon of Extra Virgin Olive oil since most vitamins are Fat Soluable. It's really hard to stomach when warm so I always freeze my leftover smoothie to add to the next which helps very much with consistency without adding sugar filled frozen fruit to the mix. This is what works for me you can always switch things in and out for your body, I would recommend trying it for at least a week but you will notice differences from the first smoothie. Dr.berg has videos on most of these ingredients so that will help ! Good luck and stay healthy it's worth it 👌
Best Video EVER💖💖💖💖I have been having horribly brittle nails lately this year and they are not growing anymore. This helps me a lot on where I should start getting help with taking care of my nails, thank you!
Thank you for your medical info. I have always wonder about the ridges. I am hypothyroid since 1987 but these ridges only showed up in the last 10 years
Mine too. I've been doing IF and low carb diet since Sept/Oct last year; I feel great but my nails have those ridges and on a couple of them tiny white spot. Are yours better after taking B12??
Since going on a low carb high fat diet with intermittent fasting my nails have never been stronger and better looking. I do take additional supplements of zinc calcium C and B complex as well as fish oil capsules daily. It took only a month to see improvements.
I am so glad you cover this. Diagnosing the nail health is important in Ayurveda but western doctors ignore this or attribute it to old age. My nail ridges are dramatic in past two years since I've been having stomach problems and trouble eating (ME/CFS). Now I know why and what to do. 🙏🏼😊 💕
Hi Dr Berg... I am starting to understand why I had symptoms of deficiencies. I have seen improvement in my healthy once I started taking the correct vitaminas my body needed. You hit the nail on the head, no pun intended. With deep gratitud for all your helpful advise.
My nails are terrible! They always have been. All of them have severe ridges, so severe that the nail beds split down the middle. I take iron for anemia, but it’s never helped with my nails. I’ll give B12 a try and see what happens. Great video!🙂💅🏾
@@helenarichard did you take zinc with food? If you take on empty stomach you'll feel nautious for sure but if you take it with a meal you should be fine.
i've been batting an eating disorder after getting ptsd, and my nails have started getting mini circular dents all over. what deficiency is that showing? this was very useful, and the timing couldn't have been better, thanks
I had vertical ridges on all my nails. Then by chance I was diagnosed with renal cell carcinoma, a 5 cm tumor. After the nefrectomy and recovery my nails went back to normal. So I am sure it was related. This is 6 years ago and I am fine, thanks God 🙏.
@@icediamonds11 fevers whitout a reason and light abdominal issues. My GP couldn't find anything and therefore send me in for an abdominal ultrasound. It showed right away.
Ty ❣ You hit the nail right on the head for me, I now know just what to do about my brittle nails. Glad I got up my courage and listened to this video. 😌
Love your videos. I have learned so much and because of the information you provide, in spite of the systemic RA my body has I am healthier than I would be otherwise. I can’t do anything naturally to remove the bunions on my feet, to straighten out my crooked fingers, but the meds, vigorous water aerobics, weight exercises and working towards eating healthy, and my Faith in my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, I am doing very well. God bless and protect you Dr Berg.
Thank you,Dr.Berg.Am a new subscriber of your ytc.Now I know why my thumbnail has a line on it, but still praying that nothing is wrong with my thyroid, and I'd be thankful to God if I only have vits deficiency, instead of thyroid problem.Thank you so much.🙏❤
None of my Drs EVER have looked at my nails. Even as a preteen or teenager I don’t recall them doing it. I’ve had my own dr since I was 18 and all they go by is lab results even though I am consistently on the low end of vit D & all the B vitamins & iron. No dr has ever asked me why they’re on the low end. Have never questioned me about my diet, nothing. I use to call and question it but always get told the same thing. “You’re good. Don’t worry about it”. About a year ago I started taking an ‘over 50 woman’s multi vit’. Most of the ridges are gone now except a really deep one on 1 thumb. My labs this year were still on the low end. Am anxious to see what they are next year.
What you might not know is that B12 is produced by bacteria found in soil as well as in the guts of animals (including humans) - but in order for the bacteria to make B12 the soil needs to contain the mineral cobalt. What vegetables are high in B12? The top vegetable is Spinach souffle with the highest vitamin b12 content, which in 100g contains 0.4 ug of vitamin b12. The total recommended daily allowance or RDA for vitamin b12 is 6 ug.
Interesting content. I've had vertical lines in my finger nails forever and I'm 47. They're more prominent on my thumbs. I have a greek yogurt everyday, eat chicken everyday and consume eggs and beef a few times a week. I believe all of these foods are high in B12 so there must be another reason for my vertical lines 🤔
@@markothwriter Chicken is a good source of protein and easy to cook. I hate cooking lol. I actually have my blood work results from last year. Just looked and my iron levels are 120. It ranges from 38 to 169. So it looks like I'm not iron deficient and the vertical lines in my fingernails have absolutely nothing to do with my iron levels.
