The metering on the OM10 is outstanding and it handles filters like a pro

It certainly does Jim. This was a final tryout before I put the OM10 up for sale. It has been a good servant but I am keen to try out something different. Cheers, Keith

Good ideas. Am just back from Blyth Old Minolta X 700 with 35 to 70 mm lens. Good to have to think more what am doing again. Nearly 50 years photography as a hobby and still love film first Cheers

Thanks Paul. My next video will feature a Minolta film camera (a forerunner to the X700). Cheers, Keith

Nice photos, I have just started using filters myself on an 'Exa' 35mm camera with 50mm interchangable lens, so this video is useful. Cheers.

Thanks a lot. I've never shot an Exa - a situation I probably need to rectify - it's on the list alongside Voigtlander. Cheers, Keith

Interesting series Keith, I've never used a coloured filter when shooting film but after looking at those results I might have to invest in some.

I only recently got the filters, Andrew, so I'm still learning. The next video carries on from when this film ran out and I had another camera and film ready to go. I'll probably get that up in a day or two. All this good weather and suddenly I have a load of developed films needing a video to go in! Cheers, Keith

Agfa APX 400 is Kentmere 400. The OM10 meters off the shutter curtain or the film at

My next video will be featuring Kentmere 400, which I have had mixed results with. I love the OM10 and I am also beginning to love the A-1 I got recently. I just need to get a 55mm filter adapter ring for my Cokin A holder to fit the front of the FD 50/1.4. Cheers, Keith

IMHO, what would have been more beneficial to the viewer is a side-by-side comparison - with & without the filter, so that the viewer can see the actual difference the filter makes. Same would go for using a Yellow, Orange, or Green filter with b&w. Otherwise, I did enjoy your images.

I will try that some time in the future on a video. Thanks for the comment and suggestion. Keith

The truth is an OM10 is going to get the best out of any film. For me though it produces shots lacking in character. A good camera and lens combination for testing film but doesn't have the intrinsic signature style of shots taken with the Trip 35; more like a Daniel Craig Bond than a Sean Connery.

I have liked the OM10 since I got my first one, shortly after launch. I've not used a Trip 35, but seen lots of photos taken by friends on one and agree they are very good. Olympus produced great glass. Cheers, Keith
