Such a clear explanation of creatine, I’m a Granny struggling with Granny problems lack of energy, lack of strength, and have always wondered about this powder. I’m definitely using it after this video.
@@MyproteinOfficial is it true that it doesn't matter what brand of creatine to use as long as it says creatine monohydrate? Like for example will a local grocery store/ Walmart brand vs muscle tech creatine monohydrate will give same results?
After starting creatine, in just a couple of days I saw a huge increase in how long I could work out. I didn't add more reps to my sets, I added more SETS to my workout. My 5x5 bench press jumped to 8x5 in a matter of days.
Great explanation, I felt I was missing this in my program.... I'm already benching 225lba 3 reps with all 45lbs... Before creatine I could barley do one rep lol
You seriously create the best videos. No extra nonsense, just science, and the facts. What, Why, When, and How...All the information is exactly what I needed to know. Since your videos are so well done with no tone of desperation to gain followers, I have even more trust in your products.
As a vegetarian and over 40, I've been feeling like I've been missing something. I think this might help me. Thank you. EDIT: 1 year later I can say that it really has helped me. I've built more muscle and the funny thing is I feel more sharp. One thing I was warned about is that if you are not active, don't use it because it gets stored in the liver (kidneys? Don't remember which one) and can cause damage. But, yes. This sh*t does actually work.
Thank you for this. I started taking a creative supplement because I’m at that point in my workouts and my body where I can start gaining strength. Ive only been taking it for two days now, loading for the first five days, and I can already tell a difference in myself. This is insane. I’ve never been like this before.
Still got questions? Let us know in the comments below! You know what creatine does, but how do we make it? Find out here ➡ ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-jHNJqQ8z6K8.html
I do gymnastics and me and my teammates are constantly getting injured and always hurt like so bad and we started taking supplements and it’s gotten a lot better and everyone’s like able to move better I love my creatine
What I like apart from his knowledge departing is, in his videos there isn't any ads, and you keep connected through out the session...great job bro...keep up the good work..our support is always with you❤
I've just started taking creatine. I'm 52 and post menopausal and workout 5 to 6 times a week. Largely strength training to maintain my muscle mass. I'm excited to see how this affects me. I feel as though I'm coming out of the worst of the menopausal brain fog but really happy to read so many accounts of this helping maintain mental clarity. I have ok muscles, but with them atrophying as I get older, I'm all for helping maintain the muscle mass. Does it help with bone strength too? Your products are excellent value and I love the helpful channel with bags of helpful, quick to the point info! Will look forward to reporting back in a few months. Popeye, watch out!
creatine doesn't help with bone strength but working out does help with bone strength. Eat foods that support bone health. Get enough calcium, vitamin D, and protein each day. Low-fat dairy; leafy green vegetables; fish; and fortified juices, milk, and grains are good sources of calcium. If your vitamin D level is low, talk with your doctor about taking a supplement. Get active. Choose weight-bearing exercise, such as strength training, walking, hiking, jogging, climbing stairs, tennis, and dancing. This type of physical activity can help build and strengthen your bones. Don’t smoke. Smoking increases your risk of weakened bones. Limit alcohol consumption. Too much alcohol can harm your bones. Drink in moderation or not at all.
@@helojoeywala6622 epic! Thanks for your reply. I'm doing all the things you suggest daily. Good to know about creatine not directly helping with bone strength, but with the strength training I do, that should help take care of that.
Really enjoyed your video, I read everything about creatine on the Myprotein bit before your video. I have a question about the side effrcts. It said weight gain! Can you elaborate on this please? I’m new to taking these supplements as I’ve upped my game in the gym (I was before lockdown) and at home. The last thing I want to is gain unnecessary weight when I’ve already lost weight. If it means lean muscle then I’m down with that. But I don’t want to get fat again.
Sorry for the slow reply Louise . I talk about it more in this video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-IbLIyA6AlS4.html but long story short is that any weight gain would just be water, not fat and would most likely make your muscles look fuller
I have fibromyalgia and creatine reduces muscle soreness after exercise. I take about a gram of it on days I'm exercising, which isn't alot but it does work for that purpose.
It's been ages since I last used creatinine I used to take it before my workouts and it would just make me explode with energy way better than any pre-work out powder, all my friends were taking it after working out, they always thought I was wrong.
@@nuclearhominoidea creatine is a cheap supplement, different company's have different prices for the same amount of servings, what's is considered a good price for 500 grams without it being a rip off ?
I used creatine when i was benching 185lbs. After took it for 1 week 1 scoop per day i'm able to bench 225lbs i was around (175lbs , 5'7 ) I think Creatine does help make you able to lift more.
Me only able to lift 10 pounds on both sides of the bar… sooo that’s like what.. 45 pounds or 50 idk my math is bad I wanna be able to bench at least 1 45 plate on both sides :(
I don’t go to the gym but I supplement creatine because it helps me at work. I have more energy taking it and I get much less tired while working. Plus I feel better and I have much higher energy levels.
yea it does. Larger muscles is also stronger cardiovascular muscles So I assume it might even have some cardiovascular endurance benefits, whilst it does for sure have muscular endurance benefits.
This has been very helpful. My Wife and I have been into Applied Martial Arts for years but always been sore for days later. Some guys at work recommended My Protein. Your video has helped guide us and reduce the anxiety of starting something new. Best of all, the combination of Creatine and Protein has really reduced the pain. I do have one topic to discuss; we have kids (7 & 10) who are very active and watch what we are up to, including these videos. Any advice to them about when in their life's they should consider Creatine and/or Protein supplements? For back ground they don't have allergies and have a standard, varied diet with the exception of fish as they aren't fans.
I'm almost 50 and taking creatine mono hydrate for about 4 months now, supplementing my training & it's very beneficial, I can better concentrate, having more energy in training, even my memory is better (I can remember the occasional name here and there, I'm really bad with names). Good stuff.
I was in high school, working on my max bench pretty regularly, then eventually hit a plateau my junior year. I heard about creatine, bought a tub of some stuff called no-xplode and incorporated it into my bench workouts. Just before i finished that tub, i tested my max AGAIN one random day,....and i hit my next max goal that i had been stuck on for so long! I hadnt changed anything about my workouts, just added the creatine for about a month, kept working out. I was surrounded by my high school buddies that day in the gym, and the football coach. man, i was so pumped! I will always remember it. That day, i would have told you creatine is magic. 😆 Then i grew up and realized there is a LOT of factors and creatine isnt magic(though it does help) 😅
Ive had numerous concussions as well as alcoholism. I had a severe episode that last months where I didn’t sleep or eat much . I walked for months. It’s taking me 7 years to get back to normal and creatine and cayenne pepper have been those most effective in my recovery.
Is it recommended to still taking it while working out at home? Given the lockdown now? I’m talking about 5-6 days a week training including full body body weight, HIIT, isolated strength split between days and some running. But, not sports or heavy gym lifting! The video really helpful by the way! As a woman I’ve always had this major fear about taking creatine 💪🏼😊👊🏼
So glad you enjoyed the video. You can still take creatine while working out at home as it can still improve performance and help you do a little more volume (which some will find they have trouble with doing home workouts).
5:29 I absolutely believe that it can help brain function, I set a new personal record playing The New Tetris on N64 after starting supplementation, shattered my previous best.
I was getting so lethargic at the middle of my HIIIT session. Literally took 5g of creatine preworkout and Bang I'm still cranking at the end of the sessions! Such a revelation for me personally
Hello from Chattanooga, I noticed years ago when I was in great shape and playing football (American football that is 🏈 ) when I took creatine, it seemed like my testosterone levels went through the roof, not necessarily in a bad way. Is that a thing that happens on creatine?
I am a 24 year old woman who weighs 120 lbs. Ive been working out for years now and have recently added a protien powder to my routine. Hopefully, explaining this to my paranoid dad will help him feel more comfortable about leaving me alone when I take another scoop of my whey protien powder. He tried comparing the story of how my 40 year old uncle used to take some kind of pill to build muscle when he was in high school without working out making him 300lbs to me taking 1 scoop of protien powder a day or every other day. There is alot that is also linked to his obesity and my dad doesn't seem to understand that I have already done the research. Plus, my protein powder is the cheapest stuff out there from the brand elevation sold in Aldi. There isn't much in there to begin with and I am okay with that because I dont need much. I also love working out. I don't want to ever stop exercising. I am not in any sort of sports, so working out is a hobby of mine that I intend to keep up with. Thanks again for the great vid.
Good for you for working out, you have my respect. I've started taking creatine and my dad thinks it creates air gaps in the muscles? Tried showing him this video and he just said it was fake lol
stop being a pussy just do it. I just hopped on the creatine as well. it made me swole. its probably just water stored in my muscles but my arms gained 1/2 inch with in 2 week. my 6 pack stands out more. I wasnt the only person to notice either everyone did. including my wife. she was all like wow when did you get so swole looks so sexy. but I have been lifting for 6 months now so I already had some gains before the creatine. but the extra swole water weight in your muscles makes it pop.
I am excited and even started like a month ago Bodybuilding but I wanted of Protein Whey Powder but I heard of Creatine and it is very mysterious thank you my Guy..
Thank you for this i'm not taking pre work out yet neither creatine this is my 2 month in fitness/gym industry sop this will be good use of knowledge later on thank you
Yes. You can basically take creatine whenever. Typically I take it with my pre-workout about 30mins before my workout. Then Whey immediately afterwards
@@solekhashuwa Yes. There is no testosterone in Creatine. Theres also a lot of foods that are high in creatine (mostly meat, especially fish) but it’s not enough to make an effect
I have Ureter stone problem in the past i already have 2 surgery due to stones and i never have tried any supplement before , i want to start this supplement so is it safe to use if we have previous medical history like this?
Great video, well researched. But, doesn’t anyone feel that a brand selling protein supplements would try to selectively outline the benefits of protein? Good advice, but not the whole picture
Is it okay to mix creatine powder with my whey protein shake or would you recommend just taking creatine on its own? Is there much point taking whey when on creatine? :)
Hi! I have been using Creatine for the past year and a quarter, the gains have been off the charts! However, I do wish to ask if creatine can be consumed by people on high BP medication. Eagerly looking forward to a response to the same.
All I know is ive taken it for 3 days twice a day and today i could pull 10 more reps than 3 days prior and i worked out for 30 mintes longer, and im 45 years old and been working out for 2 years now.

@@earlcoles5215 I'm afraid I have no idea at the moment. Like you said, it's a cheap supplement and if the company is reputable, I'm happy to get it if it's cheap (compared to other brands)... I don't really put a fixed figure on it.
Sounds good, but now I am concerned whether consumption of creatine supplements would cause any sort of dependency. Assuming that our body produces it, wouldn't the continuous usage of the supplement discourage the body to produce its own supply?
