My rent includes everything and a maid, security, wifi, and whatsapp. I stocked up on food, and I use La Comer for home delivery. My rent was 14K per month and after 14 months 15K per month and the USA cost was $672 to $910, as the dollar falls.I save and give to honest none beggars. live in Queretaro next door, since 2021. This is 70% less than the USA in 2021. I am in my 82nd year, and moved here at 79 in 2021. I have been coming to Mexico, mainly Acapulco for over 62 years, since age 20. I speak Spanish as a second language since age 14 among many other languages, and visiting all over the world on my own dime. Great video.
Thanks so much for this info. It helps in doing our budget for when we move to Mexico. Still trying to understand about “Un budgeting” or no budget on food etc….. great content 👍🏽
Have cousins who migrated to San Miguel three years ago. They are in the process of obtaining permanent resident visas. Visited them last February. They rent a beautiful home with maid service, and their expenses are SIGNIFICANTLY lower than where we're from in the Midwest. We found San Miguel to be a beautiful city. Love the city square, the parks with singing Mariachi bands, and old churches. Enjoyed the shopping and restaurants there. It was never hard to find a Taxi. fares were affordable. The bus system there is "interesting." Also visited the city of Leon. Came home with a LOT of new leather goods. The only difficulty for us was the language barrier. These are true Mexican cities where Spanish is the primary language, and most people didn't speak a lot of English there. Unlike tourist spots like Playa Del Carmen or Cancun. So our weak grasp of Spanish was tested at times. Fortunately, our cousins have become pretty fluent in Spanish during there time in San Miguel. And served as our interpreters. I can see what brings people to this part of the country, and the city, and makes them want to stay. Especially retirees with fixed incomes. But with more foreign expats arriving there, I'm wondering will it eventually lose its charm, and value...
First time viewer, I'm curious as to if you're not retired.Where do you derive your income. I'm gonna jam trying to budget but is it based on a lump sum of cash that you have in a bank or income that's being generated.
Great video!!!! Is the $15 for cells for both of you? We each have 200 pesos telcel amigo pachete, so we are together over $15 a month... just trying to see if we should get a different provider here in mx... thanks for sharing!
Thank you for your comment. I will be doing a video about that on my other RU-vid channel that I am starting. It’s up and running now @thepreparedagent.
