To Black American Academia, where does the American native born black community go from here? We are at a crossroads where we could potentially be erased and replaced, where do we go from here? We are desperately lacking true leadership in politics and in academia, so where do we go from here? Our black American Politicians no longer serve us due to their Pan Africanist "global agenda", so where do WE go from here? The political party we have supported for well over 50 years has pivoted within the past 10 years and have focused it's attentions on advancing the hispanic community and illegal immigrants, so where do we go from here? The African and Caribbean politicians who we have voted into office ONLY address issues dealing with their particular ethnic groups, their particular countries, advanments of immigration policies, upward mobility for illegal immigrants and lgbtq agendas, NOT OURS!! So where does the American native born blacks go from here?

That is part of the problem. We believe we can tell who is "white" or black by the voice most of the time. Some of this belief comes from our individual experiences being around a segment of the black (us) community and "white" community. A lot of it, however, comes from how this racially-biased and racist society have raised us. We were raised to think we can tell just based on voice. The more people I come in contact with, the more exceptions to the rule I have encountered.

@@KarenHunterShow I get it, we're doing just fine. NO, some of us are simply very comfortable with the way things are. I respectfully disagree Karen, we have less than 5 years to learn from the past mistakes of those who came before us, pivote and GET IT RIGHT or there won't be much of a future for the generation after mine. These other ethnic groups are here to survive and eat, ofcourse with the assistance of our government. Nevertheless, over the past 50 years we have regressed and now we're leading the countries illiteracy rates and homelessness rates. Me and mine are doing very well, but I understand that it is about the collective not the individual. Unfortunately for some of us, it is difficult to see down below when you're so far up in the clouds. For the life of me I just can't understand why black Academia cannot see the chess moves being played on our people in politics, media, television, academia, film, and religion. We are being exploited, misused and lied to by EVERYONE. In fact, I would go as far to say that the descendants of the American negro's are the most lied to ethnic group on the planet.

The face of black politics are Caribbean's and Africans, not the descendants of the American negro's/ Ethnic BLACKS. The "black" representatives in television and film today are Africans and Caribbean's, not the descendants of the American negro/ Ethnic BLACKS. The faces of Media are now East india, Hispanic, and African, not American native born black. Joy Reed does not represent the descendants of the American negros, nor should she be. She's an African woman, no connection to us. I don't blame our Caribbean and African cousins nor do I blame white supremacy, I blame us for becoming entirely to comfortable while sitting on our hands for over 50 years.
