What does this mean for emergency medical technicians such as Ambulance care assistants, emergency care assistants, emergency medical technicians or paramedics on the street
I don't think it means anything as of yet in the street, because the legislation only applies to hospital inpatients. Perhaps it could apply to such a person working in ED as the referral point has to be independent on the treating team, although equally I'm not sure the EMT/paramedic etc would be deemed independent if they've handed over to the medical team.
@@OllieBurtonMedpatients are being put at risk because of your strikes. Any money that you want to put into your pay should be spent on ambulance service staff training because we have a huge staff shortage since everyone retired in 2023. If the nhs gives money to you it means we have to work with even less staff because of your strikes
