Don't you get sick or tired of eating the same things daily?.. I'm concerned that it will become boring really fast
@RibeyeRob
@RibeyeRob 2 месяца назад
@@Sconzette It doesn't get boring at all. In fact, it's incredibly freeing. You're free from constantly washing up, preparing food, thinking about food and walking up and down the supermarket aisles looking at all the junk they offer. If you don't go to the gym then you'll probably be fine doing OMAD (one meal a day.) Simple meals knocked up in 5 mins with minimal washing up. You have so much more free time and the best part is... you are never hungry because fat is incredibly satiating. If you eat the standard diet, or a vegan diet you are always hungry and therefore constantly thinking about and eating food. Also, once you stop piling carbohydrates in to your body the up and down rollercoaster of highs and crashes ends and you're no longer destroying your body with ridiculous amounts of glucose spiking your blood sugar all day. Remember, all carbohydrates break down to glucose (sugar) as soon as they enter the mouth.

When you have such a radical body change..... no more deabilitating immflamation, joint pain, brain fog, tiredness.... to lots of energy, clairty...... the choice gets very simple. I eat to live not live to eat. I also allow myself healthy cheat days. I started a food journal. I started looking at foods on the AIP protocol and experimented with a food to see if I had reactions. To date I can tolerate a few grapes, blueberries, asparagus, brussel sprouts, cabbage. But I only eat them very sparatically and never combine foods. I am 4 months carvivore now. I have lost over 50 lbs. I feel great. I am having my blood work done to compare with my blood work from last November when I was at the heigth of physical health issues. My Dr. Suggested to carnivore as an experiment for me to see if it would make a difference after 15 years of health problems that has affected my life negatively.

My story is similar in a lot of ways. Ive had MS for nearly 20 years. My perspectives on the medications they offer, and the potential 15 to 30% improvement it may provide later in life were extremely disappointing. I have been a full carnivore for 2 years now. I have healed so much. I've been able to return to work full time after 20 years of not being able to work. I will remain carnivore. I'm so glad that you have found the same thing. I had Scrambled eggs with chopped up red onions in one pan, and Chopped up red potatoes with red onions in the other pan. I Combined the foods that i cooked up in two separate pans, and i added cheddar cheese, butter, and sour cream. This made a very Hearty meal. Later I'll have a can of sardines. I don't go for veganism, but simultaneously i believe that one can do more than fine without always eating animal meat. Veganism is obviously unsustainable, but there are ways to eat that are plentifully sufficient alternatives to meat eating. Such as the food combination that i described. Eggs are a plenty sufficient alternative to eating meat. Especially when also consuming various dairy foods. I love eating meat as much as anyone else, but i also believe in having a versatile internal physicality. If one becomes too dependent on meat, then what happens if there is suddenly a great shortage in meat, that we suddenly become striken with..?! I believe that the withdrawal afflictions will be substantially greater amongst those who are overly dependent on eating meat. Like i stated, as long as I'm eating eggs, then Physically, I'm just fine and dandy. Meat enhances the taste experience more than any other nutritional based enhancement if we're in the discussion of regular egg and cheese eaters.

I'm in the US. I while back I saw a video by a female doctor who nearly overnight wound up in a wheelchair. She went from being healthy to extremely limited in her mobility very rapidly. She had recently given birth and had traveled overseas. Her onset of symptoms was very rapid so she assumed it was a virus or pathogen of sorts. After months of struggle with no answers and nothing in her bloodwork and tests to explain her symptoms she wound up trying an elimination diet. Through much trial and error, this woman uncovered that she had developed many food intolerances. By eliminating all of the offenders from her diet she made a full recovery. Sharing stories like these may save someone else months of fear and unexplained severe symptoms. Thank you for sharing your story. By the way, here in New York we use the term general practitioner as well.

@johneubank8543
@johneubank8543 2 месяца назад
@@mandyhaven4290 there is a context or possibly subjective element to the term "cure". For example, I go to a forest known for having lots of cobras. I'm bitten, rushed to hospital, and cured of snakebite. A year later I go back and am bitten again, does that negate the first "cure". No, but many tell me my diabetes is not 'cured' because if I go back on carbs, it will return. The point is to stay away from cobras. We are not evolved to eat salads and such. Our paleo diet - going back at least 2 mil yrs even - was 85% fatty red meat (mostly) - even before we were homo sapiens. Cooked on fire most that time. The plants they ate were mostly fibrous roots w few carbs, and a tiny part of the diet. You've found what you should be eating. About a quarter to a third of us get autoimmunes eating plants and/or the modern diet - pufa oil may contribute. Good luck!

I agree completely. I know many people who have spent years or even decades "chasing a diagnosis," because they think that once they have a diagnosis, then their doctors will know exactly what to do to help them. Only afterwards do they find out that allopathic medicine has no real solutions to offer them, even when they have a clear label for the problem. This is a deliberate, time-wasting labyrinth that the medical industry has devised to trap people. As long as you're desperate for an exact diagnosis, you'll keep going to appointment after appointment, ordering test after test, trying pill after pill. The medical industry is shoveling your money into its own pocket the whole time. All disease is best treated through diet and lifestyle, the only two factors which can offer an actual CURE, because they address the root of the problem. If people could ever get off the medical merry-go-round, they'd have enough time and energy to research for themselves and learn that.

Doing a 180 degree turn at his age (and his former profession) is NOT easy. Being instructed by your daughter is not easy either, but he is doing quite well. I am 76, sneaking up on 77 and I became a Carnivore less than a year ago. Almost every physical problem I had has faded into the background, and still, sometimes, I wonder "Is it real?" I understand how he feels, but he has definitely come around. I salute him.

Good to hear from your Dad. A very informative view from a GP is always appreciated. I have MS and been taking a DMT for 11 years which has seemed to slow the progression, I'm too apprehensive to stop but on the edge of being fully commited to the carnivore diet to see if it makes a difference. Sick of feeling crap every day.

if it's that bad .... you've nothing to lose and everything to gain. It appears to work quite quickly so within a month you may see some improvements.... it's the cholesterol that appears to be required to create myelin that you are missing... read about it on wiki and add 2 and 2 together.

After an appointment with spec savers in north sheilds in England I was contacted via my doctor to go for a mri, 2-3 weeks after the mri I was contacted by newcastles rvi and told I had a lesion deep in my brain and they were going to have a Nuerology surgeon contact me. Long story short I had a non cancerous tumor called a colloid cyst, it was blocking pathways for fluid in my brain, hydrocephalus. I had surgery 3 days after, they removed the colloid however I not have a vp shunt and a regrowth. It’s amazing what they can tell by looking through the eyes. This was a very interesting, thoughtful post~ enjoyed this. Always good to hear from someone with a specific investment/relationship, none more than a parent, usually. Have to say, you do favor your father~ a handsome fellow, made more so of course by his insight, I would offer. We always refer to our family doctors here in the states as our "G.P", even though it's been years since our medical system switched over to what I call the cattle herding model, aka HMO's, which was a huge move away from private practice/family physician format we'd all grown up with & surely preferred. From a retired social worker's perspective, 35 yrs in behavioral/mental health, I find these transformations quite fascinating~ including my own. My own physical & mental/emotional improvements are nowhere near as dramatic/"miraculous" as someone with an MS diagnosis. Yet they are unmistakably & directly connected to changing over to a meat based way of eating. At 63 & 58 yrs old, my husband & I truly do feel as though we're aging in reverse. Being off of nearly a dozen medications between us, massively improved energy/sleep/ strength/eyesight/digestion~ the list goes on~ we cannot imagine eating any other way. I am curious if your dear father has any interest in a meat based lifestyle, after witnessing all it's done for your life? ~ Samantha in AZ/USA

Wonderful discussion and testimony. In 2011 I started an experimental protocol to treat my Psoriatic arthritis and myelitis (which was first thought to be MS) with a low carb natural food diet, vitamin D therapy, and food allergy testing. Within a month I was able to stop all my medications. I have been in remission ever since.

What a wonderful conversation between father and daughter showing love and respect. Her dad is intelligent enough to look at the evidence before his eyes and evaluate what is happening. Unfortunately often people are in a tunnel of trying to believe what the doctors say but knowing intuitively that something is not right. It takes courage to be open minded and listen to your body. Your dad seems a lovely man and you are lucky to have his support. Thank you for your testimony. These personal testimonies are so important. May people be open-minded enough to give Carnivore a try. The anecdotal evidence of its validity keeps rolling in from ordinary people all over the world who have benefitted. Surely that must tell you something!

My scientist side immediately thinks how wonderful would it be to find what it is that you were missing that caused MS that has been provided by the diet. However, the human in me knows that people with and without MS thrive on this diet and maybe not knowing is better. Just knowing that this is a diet that fixes a number of issues should be enough for more people to try it. No need for dissection.

"Just knowing that this is a diet that fixes a number of issues ..." Or is it in reality THE diet that PREVENTS the multitude of "issues" that the prevailing and recommended diet most people eat today are actually causing in the first place? I've eaten the proper human carnivore diet now for almost eight years, and I'll just say ... When you know, you know!

I went keto in late 2019 and ketovore in January 2020. I ate 90% beef and some veggies. My inflammation went down almost immediately. A limp that I had since 1990 from an auto accident went away. TMJ went away. I think clearer. I believe that finding out what your body needs and giving it to it allows it to heal itself. I believe that most autoimmune conditions are caused by your diet. Yes, deficiencies in vitamins and minerals can contribute too. There's no one answer. Learn, try things, document results and don't give up. I've overcome the physical and mental injuries from my auto accident, fibromyalgia pain, supplement to make up for being compound heterogeneous for MTHFR... and now working on adjusting things for menopause. It's a journey that I'm in charge of and I feel better than I have in 34 years. Thank you both for sharing this wonderful story!

It is not about what was missing but what was being added prior to the carnivore diet. The elimination of sugar, carbohydrates and processed foods is the key.
@phreedomphile
@phreedomphile 3 месяца назад
Not so much missing anything, even though meat is a great bioavailable source of protein which aids in healing. A strong indication regarding mechanism can be gleaned from the work of the Paleo Medicina group of MDs and PhDs in Hungary who prescribe a strict Paleo Ketogenic Diet for patients with serious illnesses to include autoimmune disorders. They start out with a very clean carnivore diet and then once a patient's symptoms are in remission patients can then begin to carefully add in paleo fruits and vegetables in strict moderation to increase variety in their diet, but they can also just stay with carnivore if they prefer. Paleo Medicina clinicians verify strict dietary adherence by measuring a marker in urine which is directly correlated to signs of a leaky gut and as a consequence indicates a dysfunctional immune system to include inflammation. Typically, in this clinic's experience, there is essentially a perfect correlation between a flare up in symptoms and urine tests showing a return of leaky gut due to consuming something outside of the dietary prescription, to include, for example, fillers in supplements with many patients being highly reactive to fillers and additives. Some people may not care about mechanisms, and I understand the science can be overwhelming to dive into but in order to get the professional medical community to get onboard it helps to have an understanding of how the carnivore diet works to heal.
@sandra.phillips
@sandra.phillips 3 месяца назад
@@phreedomphile Great info! I've learned that once you stop putting some things in or on your body, it DOES become very sensitive and reactive when you re-introduce them. I've had that happen with gluten, dairy and scented things like deodorant and laundry detergent. The cleaner of a ketovore that I am, the better that I feel. I love the simplicity of carnivore... but I've always been a "foodie", so I love experimenting and cooking. I watch many keto and carnivore cooking channels. I'm beginning to think that the channel Chris Cooking Nashville will satisfy the foodie in me and keep me more carnivore. Thanks for mentioning the fillers and additives. I never thought that I could have become sensitive to them.

read wikipedia about myelin and then add 2 and 2 together. My take .. is that you need protein to manufacture cholesterol in your liver and cholesterol to metabolise in your gut. This cholesterol helps build muscle mass and even more importantly is used to regnerate myelin that likely decomposes naturally and has to be rebuilt. No cholesterol in diet .. no cholesterol produced in liver... doubled down by the wrong food that aids breakdown of important cells. She could re-introduce good quality carbs in limited amounts now and identify the wrong foods and the right foods. Just my naive take.... but you can find the myelin info easily... for now.

However his joy at seeing you improved is trying to overwhelm that programming... but he can't get the doubt out of his head. desperation and a strong desire to find a solution to her pain and being prepared to experiment with her own faith to achieve that objective even though it went against all her professional advice. When you're at the end of your tether you either give up (and continue with professionals until the end) or you fight your own way. I have heard of many people who low carbing survived cancers that were allegedly terminal. It's all "anecdotal", but I think the system relies on that anecdotal "doubt"

If you modify the lifestyle factors as you had previously, you'll likely get the same result as you did previously. But then that's true of most ill health. My recent MRI showed no improvement in lesion burden. Further, I had to stop my Tysabri infusions. And after 3 months off Tysabri, I relapsed and was a mess. I’m back on Tysabri, and things have improved. Just my 2 cents. Not you, but I find it insulting that some people watch RU-vid and think it's just a matter of improving my diet. This is as if I’m at fault for my condition. Again I’m glad you are doing well.
