Last year I did an update video where I showed you all some of my favorite pieces I made & compared them to what they used to look like! This year.... everything is at least one year old & I even found pieces that are around 4 YEARS OLD!! I may not be adding to this collection but I still love looking back on these memories & also being able to show you what it looks like now! Maybe it's weird to still do these resin update videos but genuinely, I look at these pieces & see the story of my channel. I'm so grateful that I get to do what I do & these pieces were the start of it all! WHICH PIECE SHOCKED YOU THE MOST?

I still work with resin and I REALLY appreciate these flashback videos. It shows me what certain things look like when they get old and gives me ideas on how to counteract the vintage effect if it's a piece that wouldn't look good that way. That being said, for flower pieces like this, I think the vintage look makes it even more beautiful! 🥰 And my mother who is obsessed with anything Victorian would agree with me, lol.

I think the pieces with purple flowers seem clearer because purple cancels yellow. A resin maker said you can add a small drop of purple to the resin to help cancel the yellow when it comes.

THANK YOU !!! I follow a bunch of beginner groups and people go and get like whatever is at Michael’s or Walmart and then a few years later, trash. I did the same. I just wanted to DO IT! But now I research HARD any new product I use in resin. Even glitter. It seems the more “hobby/crafter” type resins and fillers aren’t Anti yellowing or UV stable or even anti fade!! But the marine resins and countertops resins are- I you don’t use specific “artist’s resin” for my own ($) reasons. And now I mainly only use products MADE for resin- just to be sure. Even glitter and some glass types. I wish I had known this when I started. yellowing is something I definitely dealt with especially in the beginning pieces I did. I did this BADASS black white silver pour 4!! years ago, and when I moved a month ago into a new place, I noticed how YELLOW it had become. So yeah, DEFINITELY do your research into UV stability- for inks too- ALOT of inks are not UV stable and will fade or just *flippin’ disappears* on you… Anywho- THANK YOU for all the amazing things you’ve taught me over the years

I remember you doing your wedding bouquet and hoping that you weren't expecting it to stay exactly as it came out at first, only to be heartbroken later when it had changed. I really hope you don't regret it. It's still beautiful and always will be, no matter what color changes may happen over time. Bonus- your blooms will forever be protected from being crushed and you also have two keepsakes in one! It's been such a treat to watch your progression over the years and look forward to many more! Thankx for the update. I think that those resin pieces still look good. I hope that you're happy with your decision to step away from using resin. But, I must admit, that I do miss you working with resin. Your pieces always turned out so pretty. I do watch other person's who work with resin, but I just like your personality; you're so perky, and you seemed to always have so much fun. So, I still watch your channel, and I've enjoyed your latest ventures, and I'd never heard of tufting. But after I watched your video, I remember that we used to stretch a piece of burlap over a wood frame, and hook the picture one stroke at a time. It was great fun and quite relaxing. Now it seems like they've modernized it with the machine that you used, and they call it tufting. Go figure. One question though, have you considered trying to make a few videos about working with polymer or air dry clay, making shrinky dink pieces, or you trying your hand at painting? Plus, you two are sooo funny in the kitchen. I think that you have a special way of making any video informative as well as entertaining. Please continue to find different types of crafts and make videos to show your viewers; I really enjoy them. Thank you and your hubby for the entertainment, and especially for all of the laughs.

Great video, were they subjected to uv light. I think resin pieces that are, will yellow faster. If people are trying to prevent that, coloring or tinting your resin will help "hide" the yellowing. I think you're getting questions about resin, because you never said why you stopped working with it. It was left as a mystery, the way you talked about ending resin work. That's totally your business and no one else's. You don't owe anybody anything. I think that's why you're still getting questions though. (If that makes any sense). It's fun watching you dive into other art projects, and builds. You're very creative, and talented.

The resin was art resin and I hadn't opened it but it was over a year old. This bottle actually didn't have the warning about fading ect and I uses it trying to get it done before the buyers left the state. It came out so yellowed, I'm just beyond bummed out 😓 I sanded it far as I could and then used my other resin I was very proud of this peice and have been trying workarounds but it's time I contacted the buyers who have left & Describe the damage, cancel the framer ect. 😭 I know it's ultimately my fault and I learned a hard lesson one of those "of All the paintings to go wrong" argh 😤

Hmmmm is there like a UV-protection product (coat, spray, powder) one could use to minimise the sun damage on clear resin? Because that's what this mostly is, right? Like a sunblock to your art! But to be honest I don't think the yellowing changes the look of these pieces that much - they don't look murky or foggy, you can still see the flowers through the resin really well and everything is tiptop crisp, just slightly faded. I would be okay with that, they're still gorgeous!

It's not because candy is made of sugar, the food coloring they use in them aren't artist grade, they'll fade much much much faster than pigments that have chemicals in them that fight against the processes of color fading from light exposure. It's like making a watercolor painting using food coloring and expecting it to last for decades. And the sugar crystals might yellow overtime, so the bright white candies might end up looking like ivory overtime. That's why people generally avoid using food in art projects.

She mentioned previously that it felt like she was trapped in a box of her own making, she never meant to only do resin and felt it was time to branch out to other mediums. And also resin is kinda dangerous lowkey.

She also said she was concerned about the toxicity of it. She made a video about why.

It's so disrespectful, in my mind, that people are Constantly asking why you are making a choice to not work with resin. This is YOUR channel and you should not have to appease people. It was fun while it lasted, but for the countless reasons you have stated, you shouldn't have to keep apologizing to people who drop in occasionally and don't really watch your videos. Those of us who do, know the answers. Sorry Chica! This was an awesome walk down memory lane!
