For me Paul Pogba is a a luxury player you bring in to an already complete sqaud, a player who is like the cherry on top of the cake, not a player who you build from and try to rebuild a club with. I don't think he has the fight, put him in a Barca shirt I bet his attitude would change overnight, he needs to be at a club where the status of the club proceeds his ego. I think 100+ mill would benefit u guys more than Pogba in rebuilding, maybe if you were further along that journey I wouldn't think that. You need real grit and steel at this point, not a name. Just in case anyone gets confused I'm not saying Pogba is bigger than Man U, but I'm not sure he knows that, that's the issue ego.

United are going through a rough patch, which as a Liverpool fan is music to my ears. It won't last forever but I'm loving it, especially for those United fans who still have their Fergie hat on after 6 years. Just a couple of things about this chat with Sam that I'd like some clarification on, as I may be wrong. This could just be Sam unintentionally misspeaking, but I don't think Pogba went to Juve on loan, as far as I am aware he left United on a free, and then a couple or so years later they bought him for £89M ?, and this was before the Neymar deal severely skewed the transfer market. Secondly, again I may be wrong, but aren't United paying Sanchez £400K a week, and he gets £100K a week in bonuses from somewhere else ?

If I was in Sam's shoes and had to pick one player United should stick with, say for the next 5 years, it would be De Gea all day long. Just like Stevie G pulled us out of the shit on so many occasions, De Gea has done the same for United, especially since Fergie left.

Three seasons of below average sulking no longer allows anyone to assume pogba is world class. This more than anything is why united suck , have sucked, and will suck in the future. I agree that he has been poor this season. However, when you look at the 4 players in front off him, he's eventually going to make a mistakes. Remember, most of the "Best" Keepers in the world have world class defenders in front of them; not Ashley Young, Chris Smalling, Phil Jones and Shaw.

Hilarious to hear the support for Pogba from Man U fans. Talent alone does not make a great player. A talented player who is disruptive to the team and squad is worth less than a far less talented player who understands the need for a team ethic. Until Man U get back to being a team rather than a group of individuals they will continue to massively under deliver. I'm not a Man U. fan and am happy to hear that they are still placing talent at the top of the list of desires. It means they have no chance of getting anywhere - you need a cultural change my friend. Hmm you went on to make some good points re the kids Sam.

lowkey, since real madrid appointed zidane again (and i'm sure pogba was part of the discussions between perez and zidane, and that zidane called pogba to have a lil talk around this time), united have lost 6 out of 8 games, pogba's been atrocious and if they miss on the champions league qualification he will have the perfect excuse to leave this summer

Fabio Grosso scored an equalizer and scored the winning penalty in a much harder final and overall world cup in 2006, he was not world class. Get off fifa. And learn what an actual world class player is. Gerrard Scholes Lampard Xavi Iniesta Pirlo Kaka Seedorf Alonso Schweinsteiger Ballack etc etc all world class centre midfielders, and so many more. Pogba is 100x away from that level of quality consistency and football intelligence. Pogba is nowhere near that level lmao literally nowhere near it

Zidane was there assistant of ancelotti and also both mananged the youth teams. Zidane especially commanded utmost respect. Most importantly, they had a structure behind them that backed them and already had exceptional squads in place for them to take over. Ole got relegated with cardiff
