Hullo! Our Zoe 40 suddenly decided that there was “No GPS signal”. I had it booked in at a dealership, and then found your excellent video on the R-Link misbehaving randomly (no image from reversing camera etc) and needing a re-boot. Out with the fuse, back in, all fixed. Excellent! Thank you very much - I have subscribed! Keep up the good work.
I've already done! I order my Zoe 40 and receiving on monday. Now I am trying to squeeze all the possible info but there are so few, even forums about Zoe useless! Instead of making super cool productions, you are actually giving some real info for people, thats what I like about your channel.

that button that does 6 different sounds to warn passengers - does the fake engine sound change the faster the zoe goes .. and if not why not? it could emulate a proper ICE engine then. and I think I read the noises only come on after 15mph speed is that right? - why not even when standing still not a sweet sounding purr of a nicely tuned ICE engine even?

Possibly. It's a Co-Wheels Car Club car so i'm not sure if someone has fiddled with it to prevent it making a sound. I've driven a few different ones from Co-Wheels and they've all been the same.
Hello Nicolas,. I have just bought a Zoe, March 2016 registered. It does have a pedestrian warning button but it doesn't work! The red light comes on when you switch it on, no noise, and when its off there is still no noise. Holding it down for a bit makes no difference - when driving it makes no noise and I particularly wanted a car that gives a pedestrian warning sound at low speeds. I have checked the fuse box but its nothing like the fuse box on the Renault sight and I can't tell which it might be. I don't want to take it back to the dealer without an inkling of what the problem might be? Thanks.
Nick is there a way of shutting off the Speedo display when stationary and car switched off? I needed to stop for a nap while driving at night recently and the display stayed on for ages lighting the inside of the car up.
@@NicolasRaimo no I wasn't charging - I already have it set so the display is off during charging as kept having passers by telling my car was 'on' 😂. Maybe if I open the door so the steering locks then lock the car from inside it might go off. I didn't try that.
I was wondering in your view can the zoe be my main car - most people I have spoken to have described it as an entry-level to the ev world and a second car for ? I am concerned with its quality build and noise when charging? Love your vlogs. And congratulations on your recent marriage!
It’s our only car :) so yes easy to have as your main car, the noise isn’t noticed when your not near the car and the chademo DC chargers make a noise. Thanks for your kind words hope your subscribed :)
How much does R-Link cost? My brother wouldn’t use it on his Zoe because Renault wanted money for it. He and I are both retired and can’t afford to make too many regular payments.
@@TheBeggFamily the APP had a yearly membership but Rlink is the satnav also if you ask renault CS nicely there give you app for free but the APP isn't needed for Rlink to work
I really wanted to be able to hack the fake engine noise to that of the W.O.P.R. from WarGames (www.soundboard.com/handler/DownLoadTrack.ashx?cliptitle=WOPR&filename=mz/MzY2MjI4MTEzMzY2Mjkw_8Qe6V_2f16I0A.MP3) obviously without the human voices.
many 2nd cars are missing manuals and books and many people learn visually. Also the vast amount of people don't own a zoe yet and are just interested in learning more.
Oh, so you're talking about the "warning sounds for pedestrians", my bad than :). I wasn't watching the whole video, just the part where you said "engine sound on/off" and i thought its just a ridiculous feature for people who want a fake exhaust sound in an electric car. Cheers. PS: Btw, Zoe was on my car list but the price was just too much for me. (here is 35k Euro), but in 5 years ill definitely go for an electric car.
have a look at the 2nd market or discuss with dealer what price you can get from them, as i've seen better Euro prices than that, if you subscribe to me i do other EV videos soon ill be doing the BMW i8!
