I just test drove this car today....holy shit! 3rd gear 140km and felt like it was only 100. Shifts awesome. Sounds amazing! Dirty roads and it only kicked out a hair before it hooked and took off. It’s going in my garage this week.
I agree Raiti. A standard transmission is the only way to go when you drive one of those wonderful mustangs. The enjoyment is so much better. Keep up the good work!

I test drove a 2018 Mustang GT 10A PP1 and it was amazing, almost jumped the gun and bought one. But I think anyone thinking on buying a 2019 should wait for the 2021 model, its just around the corner.
The 2018+ GT's power numbers are under-rated by Ford. The actual numbers at the crank are closer to 485+ hp and 450+ ft lb, or 50+rwhp and 50+ rw-trq). Despite this, the 2018+ manuals aren't much faster than the 2015-2017 manuals due to the way Ford changed the individual gears for 2018+ GT's. Not only did they make 4th the 1:1 ratio and 5th and 6th overdrive, they also made each individual gear taller. As a result the 'gear reduction values' (individual gear ratio * final drive ratio) for each gear on a 2018+ GT with 3.73 gears are still lower than a 2015-2017 GT with 3.31 gears. @@RaitisRides I've always been a manual transmission guy too, but aside from the auto rev matching, I feel Ford should do more with this transmission (not to mention the shift fork issues). @@ryanhaney9596 No, they are taller, meaning the gears have a smaller number (I know it sounds backwards but that's how it's referred to). Taller gears (smaller numbers) result is slower acceleratation but higher max gear speeds. Since Ford changed the usable gears to 4 (up to 1:1 ratio) in the manual, they had to space them out over 4 gears instead of 5, which is why each gear is 'taller' now. 😉
Thank you for the review. As far as i know, the aluminum dash trim is real aluminum, not plastic. It gets cold as hell to the touch in the morning and has a very metallic feel.
I want the new 2019 BMW 850i coupe, but 100K is a little steep for my bank account. But while researching the BMW someone made an observation that it looks very similar (especially profile angle) so I compared and damn it is, so now I'm buying a 2019 Mustang GT premium in Kona Blue for 1/2 the price 😎😍

Hi Joe! Great review! I agree with you on the info-tainment center, Ford needs to have a touch screen come in every mustang, not as an option. Now, as far as the hood prop goes, I'm ok with that. Now, concept idea. Keep the prop, and give the hood the cylinder shocks too to keep the hood raised. This way, if the cylinders fail, you can still keep the hood raised.
Thanks Joe great review. That mustang is really nice. I’m amazed how many similarities there with my black 2016 base STI. The front lip is a similar shape, the wheels are very similar, I even have Michelin pilot sport 4s also, rear spoiler, diffuser, quad exhaust. Is that a rear F1 fog light on the bottom middle? Oh yeah I also have an F1 fog light in my car. The value of the new Mustangs is incredible. The weaker M3 starts at 66k and these are at 35k. Ford is killing it these days.

I couldn’t believe how quiet my 2016 GT was. You couldn’t wake a sleeping baby with it. I put a ford performance sport cat back (made by borla) on it and now it sounds amazing. These new Mustangs are tempting but I’m keeping my 2016 for now.
I'm sure your Mustang sounds great with that exhaust! Probably another big thing that I have found between the new GT and the 15-17 is how light the clutch is. They did a great job but I wouldn't start looking yet either.
Nah I love it- it has that old school classic fighter jet feel. Too bad they took out those hooks- that’s was so dope. The Audi TT looks so boring inside- just like a corvette! I have driven many many cars- the interior of post 2015 mustangs is pure gold. I remember the interior in the old ones- it’s sucked so bad.
The rev matching does work great when driving aggressively. The only thing I'm not that crazy about is it reving up going into first when I'm just putting thru the neighborhood. People walking think I'm being a jerk reving the car at them.

I really wish they moved the royal crimson color to the 2019's. Not a fan of the green they swapped in for it, and can't get a black one, since the snow here in Michigan would look terrible on it, so I'm having to settle for a 2018 one :(. That 2019 black looks great though
Raiti's Rides Very true. I'm getting mine this November, with the pony package and the white stripes, it looks great. I went back and forth for months on should I get a Camaro or a mustang,but the awesome Royal crimson color and the better mustang interior finally won me over haha

the ss has a useless trunk and is slower. not sure about handling. the interior is nice in the ss tho. i would like a zl1 vs a gt350 comparison.
I wish they ha added a heads up display and 305's tires for the rear for the PP1, those are my 2 wish items. As for the issues with this new Mustang GT, I wish ford would actually put half shafts that can actually withstand more than it currently does as well as forged oil pump gears and crankshaft sprockets. I’m also upset they now make the Clutch forks out of aluminum and now they are having a lot of transmission replacements. I just wish Ford could get their Manual transmissions right for once!

I think definetly 2020 we will see the next step in evolution. I am going to predict a Mustang GT with no more than 500hp. The Shelby GT350 will still be produced and it has 526hp. I own a 2019 GT.I have had it for about two weeks now,all I can say is what a car! I traded my S197 2014 model while it was a great car,it cant compare to this car.In my opinion.
The mechanics sound great, but that interior (trim) is a disappointment. Looks cheap and outdated. The tiny infotainment screen looks smaller than my phone screen... a larger display should be generic across its available options. I would hate it.
Please don’t say ever again that you are not a Ford-fanboy. I love your video’s and Mustang’s and it is ok to praise the car (and dealership!!) but just stand by it. ✌️😎
Hop in an 09' e92 bmw and be amazed how farther along that car is 10 years older.... I will say however the 10speed auto is the only saving Grace and it's a big one. No other manufacturer cars tranny touches the 10L90/10R80 under $80k msrp.
Daniel Locke that’s a tough decision! Really depends on what you are looking for. Since my heart is stolen by the Shelby I would go with the Mustang GT. The STI though is still a great car!😊👍🏻
Pros and cons on both Daniel Locke. As far as straight line performance goes the mustang has the sti beat by quite a bit. The Subaru has got its perks like winter driving, 4 doors and a lot of easy mods to get better performance. One thing for sure is that the Subaru will hold its value like no other car in its price point, not to mention that the Subaru community is also huge and very welcoming 😀. Both cars are awesome but it all depends exactly what you are looking for. In my opinion it's a win win situation 👍
As soon as I saw the thumbnail to this video, I knew I had to click on it. I know what you think about the recent incarnation of Knight Rider, but I could easily see this car being modded with the same swoopy red lights that you saw on the original Kitt and his Shelby Mustang successor.
Great review, I found the same experience today. Its fantastic and the 6 speed is a peach to shift and drive + it sounds awesome... I took one out for a test drive today and brought it on the spot. In Shadow Black. I'm from Australia - Bris-Vegas "Brisbane" and it seems to be the same spec without the rear wing. And that's not a issue for me. I will enjoy

I truly don't know RU-vid well enough to say that putting out content itself would make you appear in related content searches and thus, converted subs. Or how cross promoting other channels may assist. Or what manufacturers look for in order for you to be invited to review and drive new cars. It just seems like faster subs would always be better and could lead to other business opportunities and perhaps sponsors.
Or, you could just superimpose your head on Tom's body for a nominal fee and speak as if you were there doing the review and send him off to various locations.

Joe, just found your channel and love your enthusiasm. Just a FYI, there are actually big improvments from the 2018+ Mustang GT 5.p engines. They are using plasma arc cylinder liners from the GT350, displacement is actually a little bit bigger due to the better cylinder liner with a bigger bore vs the 2017 motors. SO infact the 2018 motors have a bigger motor than the 2017 and older cars, also more knock sensors to get as much timing as possible as well. I got a 2015 GT with a sport pack. First thing I did was replace exhaust with a ford performance exhaust which I believe is a borla. It removed the silly suitcase resonator with an x pipe. Cat back replacement solution with mufflers. That fixed the sound right up.
Its a very angry car, which I love. While its not a light car, on summer tires it can hold a sustained turn nicely. Its a bit heavy to be called agile, however for its weight it is. I am looking with jealousy at the magnetic ride and variable valve exhaust of the new Mustang. My biggest gripe at purchase was that the Performance Pack came with summer tires. I was actually rather suicidal and drove my Mustang through light snow and ice with summer tires. Not recommended! If you are looking for a daily driver that is a muscle car, this is it. Camaro is fantastic on the track, but its visibility and driving position is bad. Now I need to get a cheaper smaller and gas efficient peppy car for a daily and make some upgrades on the Mustang to keep as a weekend driver. Oh and this car on the highway, gets 26mpg. The weight kind of hurts it in stop and go city driving. I average 19 or 20 mpg. Hey but if you want MPG, you should look elsewhere. Just mentioning its not so bad.
Oh one more thing. I got a manual shift, and it is just done right. Rev match would be nice but im ok without it. One thing to get used to is that you need to be gentle on the initial launch to avoid wheel spin. Its easy to do with the coyote engine.

It's bad enough there's plastic all over the interior, but for Christ's sakes show the Coyote off. Great video, thumbs up! truly is a beautiful beasts daily driver. keep in mind sports cars are NOT DAILY DRIVERS. This is a beast of a car and last easy longer than anything else on the market
