While gossip is sinful, I don't believe "gossip to be the worst of all abominations." There are things much worse, such as false teaching in the church. Word of Faith and the "Prosperity Gospel" are much more destructive than gossip (typically), as these bring spiritual damage.
You are talking about another subject all together. What you are talking about, is a direct perversion of God's Word. The seven abominations are against fellow man. Gossiping is against fellow man. Matthew 22 verses 36-40(I think), has Jesus saying that all the law hangs on 2 commandments. Love God with all your heart, soul, and mind. And love your neighbor as thy self. That is all you need to do to walk the straight and narrow path that God laid out for us. But you are right, loving God and obeying his righteous Word, is most important. For there is no forgiveness to someone who knew God first and then denied Him as God.
Agreed. Kudos! However, alot of people are reading other abominations mentioned in the bible such as homosexuality, eating shrimp etc.. and thinking that holds above what you just mentioned or the ten commandments. What are your thoughts on that?
Hello I was on a walk today with my son and we met a stranger who was okay to begin with but then he became not very nice. It bothered both my son and myself and we spoke about it, I then went home and told my husband because we were asked about if we enjoyed our walk so I told him about how the man was not nice with us....Is this gossiping? I am a little confused because how can you tell your loved ones anything if you can not share information about some one if they upset you.
That wouldn't be categorized as gossip. If you added extra information, such as "I think he drinks and beats his wife," would be considered gossip. The man may have, just, lost someone close to him, which caused him to act outside of himself. But adding that you believe he beats his wife, bcuz you may have smelled alcohol on him, would be wrong. He is the truth and the way.

I think it would be Idol worshipping you know like all the idols the graven images in the crosses. that are hung in all the churches that God spoke against these things throughout the Bible

That wouldn't be considered gossip. If one knows a person is attractive, that is that person's truth and business. But saying that the "attractive" person is only attractive bcuz that person wears makeup or had surgery done, is gossip. Unless that person told you that, and is open to letting anyone know about it.
