i think this is my first time searching an educational video 💀. my snot becomes green when its a sign that im gonna have a cold 😭 i dont know why but when i was younger, this may sound disgusting but after i drank too, my snot would turn into this brown and yellow colour for a day and i dont know why 😭 the brown looked like the exact same colour as tea. it doesnt happen anymore tho 🙏🏻
My bronchitis seems to have cone back after like... a week or two (?) on antibitics, when the mucus from the cough turned black(!). Yes, you read that right, pitch black. Not brown or reddish, but pure black. The mucus I cough is now mainly thick and white but yellow and green in the morning.
Hi, I hope you are feeling better now. First i want to preface this by saying I am not a doctor and this reply does not constitute medical advice. I am merely relaying my own experience with a similar situation. First and foremost, I strongly suggest that you see a doctor because pitch-black mucus might be serious. My guess is there is some damage happening and bleeding as well. Around 2 months ago, I started developing bronchitis symptoms which sound very similar to what you described: Thick and white-clearish mostly, but the bronchitis would get worse at night but be minimal during the day. I also used to wake up and cough yellow-green mucus but only a little and only right after waking up. Like you, I also took antibiotics but after the second round, the symptoms were still there. Eventually, I met a pulmonologist(Lung-specialist) and he ran some tests and concluded that it was actually allergies the whole time. I got an inhaler and a pill(once every night) and the bronchitis was gone. My best advice is for you to consult a specialist after your initial treatment fails because thats how I actually found out the real cause of my bronchitis. I hope you feel better soon.
I used to think that green mucus is a sign of bacterial infection but it can actually show up for other reasons too. Also, it felt at first like the antibiotics were helping but it turned out to be some combination of coincidence and placaebo effect. I have no idea what was actually going on.
When I spit out my mucus it’s normally yellow with brown snot inside of it. But when I spat it out this morning, it was completely brown. I kept spiting until it turned normal. Im concerned.
One of my nostril produce green mucus and the other one is normal. Almost everyday for mounths now I have that production. I'm not someone that like to go to the doctor often , but should I consult about his issue?

yup i was not happy with his response. Did he say surgery...Big no no if he did. Anyway i was thinking years ago living on the farm. Us kids use to round around with green boogers hanging out of our noses. No antibiotics and i am sure as hell our bodies became stronger because we acquired our own immune defences. Green is good. Antibodies being recruited to fight out infection in a specific part of my body, in addition to some of them dying while trying to help is probably why I feel like crap! My body is so tired and achy 🤕

I always have mucus because i smoke i believe but today i woke up feeling like a headcold coming on and i had bright green mucus and then looked like alittle blood in my mucus totally scared me ..
Same thing happened to me but my mucus is brown stop smoking start body detoxing now i am from 9 days no sleep i stop marijuana keep going if you want to live stop any smoking and always protect yourself from secondhand smoke.

I recently got sick last Wed. Chills and then the congestion in my nose and head. I theorize that my water intake dropped with a combination of starting to use the train in NYC. I've been WFH for 5.5 months full time. Anyway, The mucus I saw in the tissue started off a thicker white. I drank water All Thursday and Friday. The mucus then became clear again. My water intake dropped on Saturday (yesterday 5/21/23) and now I'm blowing out green mucus. When I clear my throat brown is coming up. I've been doing non stop steam to loosen the mucus in order to blow it out. Am I on to something? I don't have a fever or anything and I rarely get sick. Maybe once a year and that's being generous. I'm also 36 w/ no history is chronic diseases/illnesses. No STDS and the only thing that runs through my family is breast cancer from my grandma.

well mine is like water its clear and it drips easily, its really annoying its drips every 5-10 seconds i had to wear mask when im outside and let it drip on my mask becuz i cant keep wiping it i have to use my hands on other stuff, i also cant sniff it in because it makes a disgusting sound that throws people off

What about mucus you are coughing up? I have a super thick glue like consistency mucus that comes out in tiny chunks when I cough it's bright white sometimes a tinge of yellow lasting now 7 weeks
Hi. You didn't suggest any natural antibiotics to take. Do Drs not get taught this in medical school? Antibiotics have side effects and I think should be used as a last resort.

That's been approx 3 year am having such kinda coughing most probably every night i have visited to doctor and they check x-ray of my liver and says that was fine by right now this cough is getting soo much more. My 5 year old has had constant mucus drainage that range from a clear to a thick green color for years now. Her pediatrician prescribed her allergy medication that they want her to take every day but I don't feel comfortable feeding her meds every day. We do the netty pot and constant blowing but I am at a loss with this nose situation. It may also be helpful to note that she was put on muprocin for a bacterial infection around her nose and mouth and has come back twice now. I assumed it was because she cant keep her finger out of her nose but is there some reason this keeps happening to her? (She has obstructive sleep apnea as well, not sure if that makes a difference but she was diagnosed a couple months ago)
I have the same problem. My 8 year old son has constant dripping nose, always mucus. Usually caused by bacteria. They give him antibiotics after a while bacteria comes back, also he has sleeping apnea. Like he always has runny nose, it's insane ! I don't know what to do anymore...

i have a some white mucus in my throat i huff and cough it out but i dont have the urge to cough i rarely smoke its like a monthly thing sometims more often but rare
