Great video. I think people should know that If using Apex to program BRS Dosers to dispense multiple amounts throughout the day..Apex doesn’t have a dosing programming wizard that works for anything else other than their own DOS pumps…which is really too bad..and a bit slimy sales tool imo. I end up having to use the OSC (oscillation function). Using Reeftronics dosing calculator that generates the code…but it’s a pain having to do this every time I need to make adjustments. I have several BRS Dosers and live them for their reliability…I just wish Neptune fusion would allow their wizard to work for them like CoralVue’s Hydros does. Cheers

It literally does everything… I used to have an aquarium but not anymore (I still follow the aquarium industry though.) Now I use my apex to grow highland orchids from the mountains of Borneo that require cold nights in a refrigerator. Whole thing is automated. Humidifier, misting system, fridge at night, heater during day, CO2, fans, lights, reservoir, everything.

I think reefing is made a lot more easy these days to buy all the expensive equipments. There is no need for all of this to run a successful tank. I have a alkatronic and dosetronic for instance.. its eating dust cause I havent even installed them.. Checking with a simpel salifert test takes few min. and I get the same exact result plus there is no room for error. so its a hobby in the end, and we need to spend a bit of time to keep a successful reef and hobby. so all this extra gadgets is for those who love to be busy with the gearing and gadgets more then the hobby.. imo less is more. I have over 10 k worth of corals and fish. I trust my own instinct and its better to spend the money on other things rather then gadgets, If you know what you doing and consistent? you can keep a successful reef with a low budget, I've seen it many times in my surrounding. folks who run beautiful spa dominant tanks with just basic equipment.

Now that you guys own Neptune I hope you address some glaring issues with the product itself. First off, the ARM CPU you guys use is total crap. Its slow and it shows when you are loading graphs or any other large datasets. For $800 you can splurge a little more on a better CPU. Or better yet, just swap the core of it out for a Raspberry Pi like device. Which brings me to my next complaint. You use a 75 cent crappy USB wifi dongle that doesn't even support 5Ghz. Given that the USB dongle is replacable can you at least sell us a better option? And maybe give it a bit more of an antennae? Also, given the stacked nature of the internal guts, can you guys model the Ecotech support process a little more? Give end users more capabilities to fix their own Neptune. We reefers literally rely on $10,000+ of expensive corals with our Apex, so downtime is a nightmare. If the PH probe section of my Apex dies, give me the option to have just that "card" shipped to me and let me swap it out. Also, the SD card you use in the device is GOING to fail. All flash media dies, especially when its been powered off for 6+ months. But for some reason you guys solder in the SD card or use some other permanent method. Let me be able to replace the SD card if/when it fails. These are all little design changes you can make to help increase the reliability and minimize downtime of everyone's Apex device.

Alot of recycled videos from BRS, always reviewing the same players like Neptune's Apex. But I know they got bought so promoting it's own products. It's about time you start reviewing the other brands...GHL, Hydros...I mean in-depth reviews like Randy used to do on the Apex...

I see everyone is selling their old systems and turning to hydros .I feel apex is a rip off cause you have to buy extra modules and hydros don’t need all that extra shit
