What email marketing service should I use?
In this Designing the Row tutorial, Katherine Forbes goes over Squarespace Campaigns, MailChimp, and ConvertKit. If you're looking for the best email marketing service in 2021, you'll get Katherine's pros and cons of each platform based on her experience using all three.
There are a lot of email marketing tools out there though, so if you have any other email marketing platforms to add to this list, feel free to share about those in the comments! This was so helpful! it's been hard to decide between convertkit and squarespace. I also have multiple businesses/websites. Can you keep those subscribers separate through convertkit as well? or do you have to have separate convertkit accounts? XO

Sorry - somehow I’m just seeing this! You can tag them for your separate businesses in ConvertKit and send emails out accordingly, but ultimately they’ll all be on one big list.

Thanks for the video! I left another comment below - trying to decide tonight on who to go with - and also wondering - if I go with Squarespace and later on down the road want to switch to Convertkit or Flodesk am I screwed because all of my email contacts are somehow stuck in Squarespace since you said you can't use Zapier with it. (apologies if this is a super ignorant question as I am still just learning all of the lingo and how things work - but basically I kind of want to go with Squarespace since I am just starting out but want the option to switch down the road if that were best and not lose the subscribers I have acquired). Thanks for any help!

You can export your subscribers and import them to another platform (this will work for any direction you choose to go)!

It's not a direct integration like MailChimp or Squarespace email marketing - but I personally use form embed code from ConvertKit on Squarespace and have for several years now!

@@DesigningtheRowVideos Thanks - my website is on Squarespace and I don't understand what you mean about using a form embed code from ConvertKit on Squarespace - do you have a video tutorial on what that means? Also - would Flodesk be the same for using that embed code thing?
