Awesome man. I'm conflicted on which one to buy. I like the size and feel of the deluxe editions better, but I don't like the plain repetitive cover art used on each one. I love the cover art on the individual volumes way more, but they're not as big, sturdy or nice to look at on the inside. I don't know which one to buy.
My honest opinion OG is always the way to do it’s easier for me to read a paper back quick then a hardcover they be heavy as fuck until you get to the middle
I read a lot of horror and fantasy novels and usually prefer the paperbacks over the hardcovers, but it's different when there's artwork on the inside haha. I appreciate the feedback man, I'll probably buy the og versions (:@@Mangamessiah
Originally I'll confess that Berserk did not interest me. Though I did not know anything about it. The Singles and their numbers terrified me. However I am now sitting pretty with 1. - 22. And I am able to do this because I have identified the arcs and I have been collecting with the goal of reading the arcs in a way that is not too jarring or leaves on a cliffhanger. But I have Black Swordsman, Golden Age, Lost Children, Binding Chain, and Birth Ceremony, leading into the Falcon of the Millennium Empire with 22. I am really enamoured by the journey that Guts has to take in order to 'Live By the Sword'... I don't think I would get that with the deluxe, maybe its the best format for most people but I think the singles capture the history of the manga more significantly... That's just my take...
