Super interesting. Maybe at times when you’re talking a lot you could pause the video? It was sometimes hard to hear what the speaker was saying and what you guys were saying. Nelly pauses the video if she has comments. But loved this, and you guys look great. Btw, if I didn’t hear you talk I’d have no idea you were English 🤷🏻♀️😊
Still here, never going out. ❤ I want you to show things other than us Filipinos. I want to see the real picture of the decisions, the hardships, the how and why, parenthood, the best and worst and the adventure of it all. Love all throughout, Jorge's music, Lucy's singin, sunshine and all. ❤❤❤ heart heart heart.
I dont mind how i look to foreigners who come to visit the philippines. You are our guest so i expect that you respect us and accept our looks color hair etc. Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.
Welcome back, guys. I think it's better to adapt what Nelly does on her reaction channel. --pausing the video to react, then play again. Because you know what, you're saying something interesting while the video is playing making it hard for us to understand the overlapping flow of info.
Don't mind those people who don't like your conversing while whatching. Talking while watching makes me feel like I'm right there with you watching. If you watch the video quitely then react to it in the last part would be boring to watch. Don't be like any other channel. Just keep it unique. How you present it to us is who you both are. Love you guys and more power.🥰🥰🥰
Guys when you do the reaction video please take note that you have to pause the video because we cannot hear what they said. I married a mixed Chinese-japanese-Filipino, so she had all those mixes but still embracing both cultures and she speaks 7 languages. We live in London. Anyway, thank you so much for sharing your views about Filipino cultures. Mabuhay!
I can totally relate with what George was saying, for those who look at people beyond their physical appearance, it doesn't really make sense to talk about how a certain nationality looks. But I also do understand how others find it interesting, perhaps not how they actually look but how others (non-Filipinos) perceive they appear physically, which makes it easier for some to identify (like how the Singaporean lady specifically described them) or dificult for others (like how they mix the physical attributes with that of general traits of Filipinos).
Constructive feedback here. It maybe better if you pause the video you are reacting to when making comments rather than rumbling simultaneously with the video (first part of the video) . Neither of what you say or the video can be understood. It sounds like you are competing with the video you are watching. Especially, there’s 2 of you talking while playing the video. Just a suggestion.
Unlike other countries, regardless of what you look like, if you grew up here and/or can speak very good tagalog/Filipino, and know the culture, you are a Filipino to us.
Filipinos can't be described by their physical looks but the way how they speak by heart as a person who is friendly, funny, caring, thoughtful and hospitable.
You can pause what you're watching so that you there will be no distractions what you're trying to point out. It's a lot of editing but the reaction would be more focused.
For myself, people find me racially ambiguous. I can pass as latino, chinese/japanese as well as mix european depending on the circumstances that you’ve seen me. For example, if I was hangover and my eyes is kinda slanted I look like chinese/japanese. When I was in tech training with kenyans and mexicans. During open discussion the latinos can’t help but talk to me in spanish. They only realize I wasn’t latino when they see my puzzled face. In forma attire I look mestizo.
South East Asians are Malay race so tend to look the same. Philippines though were colonized by Spain and USA and there’s Japan at some point and Chinese had been there forever. So it’s really a mix particularly in the city you’ll find the diversity.
George and lucy check out jared hartmann a canadian guy who have never been to ph but he speaks fluent tagalog. React to his videos pranking filipinos that he speaks fluent tagalog ho is so fun to watch. Swear super fun to watch. 😍
Lol as someone who is 100% Ilonggo, Filipino isn’t even our name, but the name of the Spanish king that colonized us for 300 years, the rest (200) under England, and the US before Japan invaded during WW2, foreigners who say we are diverse are just ignorant and think that because they have seen one, they have seen us all. Most people can’t place us because we don’t fit their racist stereotype of what an Asian should look like in their minds, when Asia is a continent, and not one single monolith country, culture, people, language, or society. Asian is a geographical term not a race. Asian is also very politically as we are Austronesian genetically and linguistically. We may loom similar to actual Thai people (not Chinese immigrants or mixed people), because Thai came from Taiwan and used to be Austronesian before migrating to the mainland, and after heavy Sino Tibetan influence (Han Chinese), changed to Thai. We may look or be perceived as we are diverse due to many foreigners and tourists being here, Chinito (Chinese immigrants who came here during colonial times), or Mestizo, those who are mixed with Latin blood. But the majority is indigenous still. Sadly due to colonialism and a colonial mentality as well as religious brainwash, the majority of us are extremely whitewashed to the point where they take whitening shots, and use skincare besides plastic surgery to appear more white looking as that’s status. So much so that moms encourage their daughters to get with white men and have mixed kids who hopefully pass as white. That way it’s easier to climb the social ladder, become a model, actor or celebrity as they all look white. This rings true for any indigenous culture and people that were once colonized by any former European super power: England, Dutch, Spain, Portugal, France, and the USA. And even though the majority of us loves to claim they are part Spanish, again colonial mentality, very fee actually are. My colonial ancestor was a Spanish pirata who raped hundreds of local indigenous women to create my clan. Luckily it’s been 500+ years so little left except the skin tone, body hair etc. Btw similar problem in Thailand, many are mixed and plastic surgery is a big deal. Most people on TV are white passing.
Pls do us a favor and please do as other folks do that also do reaction videos. Please pause the video if/when you you are going to comment. You both start commenting on top of the video and it is very hard (and annoying) to listen to and understand what both you and the video are saying. Even worse, there are two of you commenting at the same time sometimes (or often). That in itself is difficult to listen to and understand, then we have to try to listen to and understand what the video is saying as well. An example would be from around 3:26 to 4:00 in this reaction video. I could see Madeline's lips moving but could hardly understand her because you both were drowning her out
I can identify other asian countries. My husband always asked me do you know where he or she come from? I've got most of them correct. But it's hard for him.
I think if you tapped k or space whenever you have a comment, it won’t be an issue. Those keys pause the video. That’s how a lot of the reaction RU-vidrs that I watch do it.
Filipinos are of Malay race but since we welcome some other races (like the Chinese, who came first) then the Spaniards, the Americans and the Japanese colonized us for sometime in our history. Intermarriage contributed later to the diversity of our features but not necessarily in our culture, where there remain a certain distinctive factor in our culture that is inherently Filipino. Take our clan,(we are from the North) where majority of the men has aquiline and also for the women. Since we're from the North, we are fair-skinned, almond eyed and we look like Chinese or Japanese.
btw, i stopped watching this video at 3:04...couldve stopped sooner and was trying to give both of you a chance not to constantly talk over the video you are reacting to...but u failed. same thing happened to your other videos. for some reason, ur videos arent the same anymore, used to be so much better....and yes, ive been a sub for years...since the time both of you used to hangout out with nelly and whats his name LOL that "whats his name" and his channel became so difficult to watch since breaking up with nelly.
man, ur reaction videos have bcome difficult to watch lately...the reaction video you are reacting to in this video...both of you are talking while the person in the reaction video is also talking makes it very hard to understand whats going on (your reaction videos have been like this too often)...and bcuz of that i stop watching most of of your videos as soon as this happens...too difficult to watch when too many voices going on at the same time....puase video then talk so its easier to hear and understand whats going on...its no longer a reaction video...its a disorganized chaos video to me.
I agree with George. what is the real point. It is true very interesting but generalization of a look or of particular features of a person will not define that person, so it is important to point out that Filipinos are now scattered all over the world and the new Generation is becoming more and more mixed race so sooner or later there will be no such thing as true Filipinos identified as such rather true Filipinos by heart not with color or shape of the person.
