It should be obvious. Trump was a prominent person at every boxing match going back to the 1980s. As a child, I knew who Trump was. He was like Mike Tyson's crazy looking manager. A character. He was in all those movies. Home alone. Back to the future, etc. He ran the beauty pageants. Before satanism became popular in America, boxing matches and fighting in general was restricted and frowned upon. They took place on Indian reservations to get around the legal hurdles. This is why the casinos are next door. Dana White is the long standing head of the UFC. He IS the UFC. Trump likes combat sports and helped to make it happen. Two great men who have done a lot more than most people.

My understanding was that the UFC was struggling, it was probably losing money, and Trump was his first investor. I think Trump actually bought a stake in UFC. That put him on the radar of being taken seriously. Then it all just changed.
